This game is ok. I thought the game would be a little better than it is. Over time it gets boring. You are doing the same thing over and over. I would rent it and play it a few times.

I went to my cousin's house, and he bought a PlayStation2, andhe had some games like "Midnight Club," and that video game is great why I give it a (5 out of 5).

i am ashamed i bought this game. the graphics are horrible, the plot is horrible, the voice acting stanks. Buy anything else and save some money.

If you are looking for a good racing game, look somewhere else. This game has great graphics, but the cars control like shopping carts. If you are looking for a game that is essentially the same thing but GOOD, go buy Midtown Madness 2. Otherwise all you racing fans better wait for Gran Turismo 2000

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS GAME...
because I did the stupid thing and bought it. Sure for the first day I was like whoa, cool look at this this is cool!! And then after I figured out how to beat the first three people I came to the boss. The top driver in New York. I couldn't catch him. I tried but I couldn't. I tried everything excepting using codes which I didn't want to do but I mean, that boss guy was so fast I couldn't catch him. I tried everything. Who else had that problem??? Who???? I want to know just so I am not the only one. Anyway, it was fun for about a day or two and then I just put it back in the case and never ever ever ever ever put that game back into my PS2 again...

This game ROCKS, it has great graphics and many diffrent cars to choose from, there are about 3 or 4 of the same cars but with diffrent colors, the levels are awsome and the cars you race against are cool to, the sound is very good and so is the controlling, on a scale of 1-5 i would give it a 6!

I like this game for the simple fact that its concept is different than most others.

The game play is pretty smooth and the graphics are sharp with detail in most areas..

The control is not bad it goes pretty good with the smooth game play (not choppy).

The only reason I did not give it a 5th star is, I feel the game is missing something ? REFINEMENT & REALISM...

If You play this, run over a pedestrian a few times in a row, they should be dead by then. Nope they get up and come back for more..

And I say refinement because It would be nice if the cars laid rubber on the pavment when you peel out. :P

This does not take the fun out of the game.

Also, The Dance Disco Beats are Great, to bad I cant Burn the soundtrack on CD-R !!

Over all in My opinion it is 97% game that could have been 100%..

I bought this game along with my PS2, it's actually a very fun game. I specially like the capture the flag mode when playing with friends.

My only problem with it is that when I finally beat the city champion (that was hard!) my game doesn't continue to the next level....it gets stuck!!!! It doesn't freeze or anything it just doesn't let me go to the next level.

I've read in different message boards that a lot of the games are defective. I went back to exchange but they're out. So i've been waiting for over three weeks!!!

I can't give it 5 stars cause I'm not addicted enough. It's a great game, otherwise, with enough different levels and "games" to keep you occupied for quite awhile. This was a rental for me, but the only thing that I could see keeping me coming back for more than this one is theme park. That's just addictive for gameplay in itself. This one has outstanding graphics. I don't live in NYC, but it's damn real to me...and although there's only two cities to choose from, the different tasks and races keep it more than interesting. I won't buy it in hopes for great things from GT3, but if there was no such thing, this would be my first racing purchase for PS2. And there's so much more with this one...take my word for it. Enough said???

Great Game Fun, But Not That Hot of a Racing Game

First lets go to the bad points. One thing I for one didn't like is that the game did not have real life cars or realistic cars. It gave two levels so far but I havent played far enough to get more and I don't know if you can get more. Another part is that when you mess up your car as much as you can white lines show where the cars beginning not damage frame is but they are not very noticable. Now the good news. The game was very fun and can be addictive. The damage is mostly different every time. Another fun thing that keeps me going is there are a lot of secret passage ways that you can find and go through which makes it a lot better. You can jump over rivers ponds go up stairs, all the fun things are here. If you really get into it, when your doing career there are many cars to unlock and different levels of cars. Ex. If you unlock a taxi you can get a better level of that taxi that is upgraded. Also you can go through rivers and small lakes and ponds. My favorite is hitting pedestrains that just say funny things, you smash them as hard as you can into the wall but they still get up then you can run them over and stay on top of them then they cant get up as if thats not crule enough. You can also cause accidents by making drivers swirve off and honk and crash into stuff. You can also take down anything lights, lamps, boxes on the side etc. Over all I give this game 4 stars because there are not real life cars. I advise you get this game because it is fun and adicting for ages 10+. If you would like to know how old I am, I'm 14 and I got the game about 2 weeks ago. Have Fun!
