Dynasty Warriors 2

The first game I played (but not the first I actually owned) whenever I play this I feel like I'm a newbie to the games once more. Liu Bei is my favourite character (but he is REALLY hard to earn as some characters are).

It was a bit difficult the first few times I hired it and I could never get past the Yellow Turban Rebellion (the first level) but once you get used to the game it becomes easier. I could never get tired of this, I could just play and play and play and play.... you get the picture?

The graphics... the people are okay, they don't speak audibly in this game, words just appear on the screen when they do. When you ride horses if your character has a cape it often cuts the rumps of the horses. The horses in this game are animated better than in any of the other games! The hocks look right, they move at an appropriate speed fo that of a galloping horse. Their hoofbeats even sound more realistic.

If you've played any of the other games, then play this one. I recommend it greatly, but only if you are into the good old hack and slash video games.

This game is fun and challenging and it has a high replay value.

Fun, but...

This game is really fun, but it seems like the whole war is up to you, the other groups aren't as effective as they could be with a little more AI work. And it gets really repetative just hacking your way through hundreds of little dudes that all look the same... If your troops stayed with you instead of lagging behind it would cut down on getting mobbed by the enemy, the only big difficulty in this game.

Best ever

I loved this game. I thought it was kinda historically accurate, but the fun factor is great too. I gave this game five stars. because it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
much fun. Personnaly I love Kung Fu movies and martial arts books and video games, I also am very intereste4d in Asian history, so if you have the same attitude buy this game, for the love of god, buy this game.

Hack and Slash

The plot of this game is slim. All that you really do is umm, let me think... Hack and Slash and Hack and Slash. You run around button-mashing so that you can go to the next level. Even with all of the button-mashing and Hacking and Slashing, this game is still very fun and I would recommend renting it if not buying it. The lack of plot is easily made up for by the fun factor of the game. Who knew that pushing X and O and stuff could be so fun. This game is definetly a game that I would reccomend to fellow gamers. The violence in this game is minimal because there is no blood and the bodies disappear.

Good, but not great.

To cut to the chase, this is a pretty solid game. You play the role of a general in ancient China, and as such you are naturally expected to destroy the enemy forces before they destroy you. Your character gains strength as he or she fights based on his or her performance in the field.

This game does have a lot going for it. First off, there is LOTS of action. It's not unusual to cut down 500 or more enemies during a single battle. What's more, the controls are very easy to learn letting you jump into the fray from the time you start playing. This game is also fairly fast paced with enemy soldiers around every corner. If that's not enough, there are nine different characters from which to choose in the beginning, and more are unlocked as you progress through the game.

This game is not without its flaws, however. First, while there is sufficient action, it tends to get a little repetitive. There is no real complexity or strategy to the game other than chop down as many soldiers as you can. Furthermore, while you do have troops to support you, there is no way to give them commands, and more often than not, you are doing most of the work.

All in all, this a fun game. If you are looking for serious gaming, I would recomend looking elsewhere. However, If you are looking for a fun diversion to pass a few hours here and there, then this may just be your game.

cool game, but still not enough

this game will not let you leave the control, in the first day, but you continue playing over and over you will get tired of the same thing: killing enemies with one weapon. If your asking why did i give so many stars to this game, this is my answer: a game with good character, levels, and bad guys. Also you have to fight against almost 1000 bad guys per level, its so hard and cool. But this game has not reach its highest point, i hope dynasty warriors3 could be better than this.

Gets old, just rent it.

This game was made beautifully, it's graphics are great, and the game is fun AT FIRST. After the 3rd level, you get sick of it. It is just hack and slash, hack and slash. I suggest renting it for a week. That's all the game's timespan is.

awsome

The Official super cool Korean Dynasty Warriors 2 review

Here's the wierd thing: in Korea, there's the Dynasty warriors Comic book series with lotsa blood , flying heads and fighting. The game(Dynasty Warriors 2) is pretty much the same thing, lotsa killing, but (sadly), no flying heads. I've only played this game once, but there's a lot to talk about. The graphics are AWESOME, especially the characters. The music is great, and it goes well with this game. The gameplay is SUPERB when you just try it out, but I guess it gets boring soon. Yuo Must get this game. If you have the PS2 and you don't get this game, you are a loser.
