In Dynasty Warriors you are one martial artist serving your lord in the middle of a conflict. At first this game can be a little difficult to get use to with the ability to go anywhere on the battlefield. The grafics are decent but there not the best considering the platform its on.The sounds are done very well especially if you have surround sound hooked up, you can here everything going on around you; screams...battles..friends calling you for help...etc.Overall this game is highly addictive and its something i enjoyed very much....on the bad side it does get repetitive. The fighting is limited with very few moves to master and after a while the only thing that drives you on is either beating the game or trying to bring up your rank.If your a fighting fan with a little strategy on the side this game is for you.
A must rent.

Even though this a fun game the fun won't last then for more then a weekend. I usually never like games of this genre but this one brought me in. You can choose between many characters. Each has their own unique weapon (including a sword, a spear, two daggers, and a big spiked ball) that can be usen in their own unique special move. It sometimes can be a little hard to find out where the action is. This is because the map is a little hard to read. But once you find the action it is nonstop. Even though you have a whole army with you, you do most of the fighting and this adds even more action because you are trying to fend off about ten enemies at a time. The graphics are brilliant. The enviroments are open and you can lead your army almost anywhere. There is a lot of tapping the "circle" button in this game and it can get quite repetetive. I reccomend renting this game for a weekend when you have a friend over so you can kill the bad guys together.

One of the best on PS2 so far, very addictive too. People gave it enough praise already, so I will just list a few problems that I have encountered. When you have the highest possible detail, the screen will only display 30 or so soldiers closest to you, even when your character is literally surrounded by hundreds of those annoying pests. When I tried to take out the enemy's big boss without taking out the other guys first, the system slows down by 50%. That's because I was surrounded by the whole army, but it is fun to squashes flies in super slo-mo (slow motion that is)
Great Game!

This is a great game that will keep you playing for ever. In the game you pick a warrior. Then you will start the battle, but before you start check your map, find out where all your allies and enemies are. Find out who you have to kill to win the battle and who you have to protect. Now your ready to start the battle. Try to find the gate keepers of your enemies and kill them or theyll let a ton of of soldiers out of the gates. then try to kill the commanding officer of each little army to defeat them.(Remember to check your map oftenly to see what your allies and enemies are doing) at anytime it may say one of your allies morale is dropping. It will tell you which one. At that time hop on a horse if available and go help that army. as the game progresses that will happen more and more. The last battle of each level is the most difficult all of there men will be in higher ranking, but it wont be too difficult if you keep most of your armies alive. Each level that Ive been to takes about 45 minutes or more. Over all this is a great game thats why I give it 5 stars. Be sure to buy this game, and make sure to get a memory card. You cant beat this game in one sitting.
So when does Koei make Die-nasty Warriors 3??

This game rocks, I have put alot of time on it and the replay is still OK, Koei did a great job of meshing fighting game with strategy game kind of like Golden Axe meets Myth.
The characters are all different enough to be noticable on screen and they each play differently (at least the ones I have thus far unlocked). The game is challenging and with certain characters down-right hard, but the game is not too long to make one not want to play with each character.
The soundtrack actually gets to stay on as well which for me is pretty unusual I play with no volume on most games after a couple of days. But psuedo heavy metal goes well with pseudo violence I guess. Here is the part where I say something bad about the game.............sorry I can't think of anything.
This is easily the best console game I have played this year, and falls right below diablo 2 for best video game of the year.
wow the graphics are pretty good

i have beaten easy in only a few hours..so the game is pretty short. The sheer amount(30) of characters with different weapons is outstanding. The only drawback is the limmited number of attacks and repetitive hack and slash. If you like brawling games this is a good choice
Awesome

This is undoubtedly one of the best PS2 games available. The gameplay is practically flawless, the graphics are stunning, and the sound and music really add to the game. One of the few reasons why this game isn't perfect is it's length. The levels are massive, but there is only a total of 8. Plus, there is no multiplayer mode. This really lowers the replay value. Even so, this game is an instant PS2 classic. I recommend the game highly and urge everybody to at least try it.

This is a very good game. Right now I am addicted to it, I come home from work every day and play it. The reason why I gave it only 4 stars is the small number of moves in the game, but there are many playable characters which I haven't even looked at yet. Of all the games that I have, this is the one that I play the most. I love a strategy game that requires a lot of effort and smart thinking, and this game requires both.

When I bought my PS2, I was playing this game at the store on the PS2 they had set up and I thought it was alot of fun. So when I bought the console, I bought this game too. As soon as I got home and set it up, I started playing. The games graphics are perfect compared to some other PS2 games they had set up. It looks like you're watching yourself on TV. The only bad thing about it is that you can jump 10 feet high and that makes it seem a little unreal. Another thing, make sure that you have a memory card if you buy it because you will need to save alot.
Love it!

This is a great game. I can't seem to play it enough.
I played the demo in the store and that was what convinced me to get it and now I can't get enough of it. You definitely have to play it on novice first, so you can get use to blocking and using the bow and arrows.
I always recommend renting the game before buying (since you can't return them). I rented a few others before buying and that was a wise choice on my part. For example, Summoner was not what I expected but the reviews were good.
