In my mind the best console fighting game to date! A great selection of characters all amazingly detaild and highlighted with their own signature style. The story mode is also fun and addictive along with the team and plain ol exhibition mode aswell. The smooth flow of every move along with the most amazing backgrounds make this the best fighting game out there. A must have by any gaming fan

This is one of the best fighting games for Playstation 2 out so far. This is well worth it. They graphics are amazing. The combos are out of this world. This is such a great game and such a great story. Better grpahics than that "Tekken Tag Team" game. This game is totaly worth the money.

This game is alot of fun.Anyone who has a PS2,loves action and fighting games and loves this game series will have a ball with this game. I am waiting to get it.

Seen the reviews, looked at the pictures, and tried it out a bit. This game is top notch and I love it! I just bought my Playstation2 a few weeks ago and I made certain I was to get this game with the first one too. I'm still looking so it's taking me a while. Graphics are superb and the female fighters are OFF THE HOOK! The option feature for them is very interesting and I have to admit that I have never ever seen such a thing before. I'm about to buy a DreamCast and the first game I'm going to get for it is Dead or Alive 2. Make certain you get this game because you'll regret it if you don't.

This game originally came out for the Dreamcast, the best system that no one knew about. This is just one of the awesome games that came out for it. Many other games along with this one are also being rereleased. This game has to be the best fighting games ever made up(except for posibly Dead or Alive 3 which I have yet to play). If you want to get an awesome fighting game with some of the most crisp graphics around this is the one for you. At this time this is THE BEST fighting game you can get for the PS2.

I'm sick of people judging this to the Dreamcast version. Why would you get this one over Dreamcast? Because the last Dreamcast was already sold and gone. And the graphics ARE better, that's the first thing I noticed about the game, the graphics. They've improved. Hardcore also adds a "Picture Gallery" for male gamers, where the characters pose for you. And there are also plenty of new costumes. Besides the characters, there are a lot of new arenas so you don't have to play in Danger Zone 2 everytime in Team Battle, cause that was boring. And there was an improvement in the Story Mode, too. I think their stories still need work on because we don't learn much, basically you're supposed figure things out for yourself. So the Pros are: improved graphics, more costumes to unlock, new galleries for men, more arenas, one more character, and new moves. And the Cons are: not a lot of characters, story mode doesn't really tell you much, and most of the characters either block or counter to win battles. So, overall, this is a fantastic game to have if you are a gamer. But be warned, it can be very frustrating. Not as much as Virtua Fighter 4. And boy, do I hate Virtua Fighter 4.

Doa2 Hardcore is a revolution in fighting games.For one its not 2d, you can move around.For another you can fall or get knocked off the arena your playing in and land on a differant part. The graphics are smooth and the voices may be corny but they are done well. As you first start out this game will be a button masher, but as you learn the differant moves it will become less and less that. Thats the only way you will beat it in the hardest difficulty. However it is pretty easy to beat on easy and itdidnt take long at all.Oh well. My only other gripe was that there wasnt enough charactors. Overall this is a great game and the most innovative.

A very fun game with many different modes. Story mode, vs, time attack, tag battle, survival, sparring etc. You may think it has little replay value, but you can still unlock more costumes for the characters and things like that. Its definetely a fun game. I really dont like fighting game that much, but I rented DOA 2 and I loved it. I definetely am looking forward to DOA3 (if released) on PS2. The graphics are great (except for PS2's lack of anti aliasing) and very smooth. If you arent sure though, just rent it.

If you want to play the best fighting, kicking...game on PS2, get this game. DOA2: HARDCORE. The graphics are amazing, the game also got pretty good moves and couter holds. If u want to experience hardcore, this is the game for you.

this game was one game i loved.i started out not liking it but it got better.there are alot of of modes you can play including sparring,survival mode,sparring,2player verses,tag team,and regular story mode.If you like fighting and women this is the game for you.
