The use of the memory card feature in DINO CRISIS was found to be unreliable. Although the advanced AI is worth a look, more improvements on the things that count..like being able to confidently save your game is needed. The game will also lock up in unpredictable locations throughout the game. Capcom USA(c) went too far in advancement. Sony Playstation just could not keep up with the everchanging flow and mix in the FMV's. In the future maybe the makers of this game should take time making sure all features work before this game is put to market.
Booooooo!

Dino Crisis is the worst game ever. I would rather watch the show named after me (Barney). It is so violent that you think that you are really in the game yourself. That is a bad thing by the way because you see blood and body parts torn off of the people's bodies. If you hate violence, I suggest you not to get this terrible game. If you crave for violence, have your cravings met by this awlful game.
WORST GAME EVER!

At first this game seems cool because of the name. You think that dino crisis has got to be good. Well your wrong! The game has too many cutscenes in it and you can't skip them which really drove me crazy. The dinosaurs are pretty cool but you run out of bullets and they win everytime. The only reason I gave this game one star was because I couldn't go into the negatives. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.
Not as good as I'd hoped

When I first saw it advertised on TV I thought WOW! Syphon Filter with Dinosaurs! So I bought it along with FF8 (Which I really liked). After playing FF8 for days I popped in Dino Crisis. In the beginning, I was pleased with my purchase after seeing the beautifully rendered cut scenes. Then something awful happened...The game started. I can't imagine why capcom would decide not to use analog on a game made in 1999. After being mad about no analog, my Syphon Filter + Dino = Cool formula was falling apart. Then I tried to move and found out that the whoever came up with the character movement was either drunk or stoned because to move you have to press left or right on the D-Pad to rotate then up or down to move forwards or backwards. Whatever happened to right means move right, left means left, etc. Another thing that isn't too bad but is un necessary is the holstered and drawn positions of the gun (this feature is also in the Tomb Raider series). Its easier to just have the gun out at all times. Something that I found annoying was when you go through a door, gate, anything, it changes to a scene with a black background showing the girl going through a door telling you where you are going at the top of the screen. The menu interface during the game is a little confusing. However, as I said earlier, the graphics are very nice. The backgrounds are in pretty good detail outside of cutscenes, as are the characters. The cut scenes speak for themselves. This game has better grpahics than Syphon Filter, but Syphon Filter has better gameplay and character control. Overall I think that capcom could have turned out a much better game.

If you like to shoot dinos this is Not your game. It looks like a good game, but I like action games and this game is just full of puzzles. You only fight 1-2 dinos about every 15-50 minutes. If you want a game that has Dino shooting action then get Dino Crisis 2. In Dino Crisis 2 it is none stop action, you kill about 12 Dinos every minute, and their are two times more dinos in Dino crisis 2 then in Dino Crisis, And their are about three times more Weapons too(And the wepons are so cool, like when you have one machine gun in each hand at the same time you are able to shoot two different Dinos at the same time). So if you like hard core shooting games(rock on) then get Dino crisis 2, but if you like puzzles(ZZZZZZZZZZZ) then get Dino Crisis.

This game is deffinately fun if your a hardcore survival or dinosaur gamer. This game though was to boring, the weapons stunk, there weren't enough dinos, they weren't surprising the puzzles stunk. There were to many and were to confusing. The characters were even more confusing. For example when Regina approaches the half corpse lying there bloody with organs hanging out every orfice on the corpse she reacts by saying That's disgusting in a dumb blond sort of way. There were more puzzles than dinos in exception to the compies which I must say were exceptionally fun to blow away with the shotgun or grenade launcher. There were puzzles than silent hill or resident evil. There was a puzzle for every thing you could do. To open a door , more dang puzzles. The game is quite an odd combination of resident evil and Jurassic Park. If your in the mood for puzzzles or lots of gore try renting it before buying it. Try it yourself.
A Large Disappointment.

Why Capcom...why! I understand you had very good intentions with this game and it has a great story line and characters but it's no Resident Evil that's for sure.Compared to the Resident Evil games this game has some very disappointing factors in it, such as you can't skip the videos or there is not enough ammo. I also would like to state that near the time this came out Capcom also released Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The graphics in Dino Crisis aren't near as good as RE3. Why! Not to mention the low ammo and gun choice in the game. A Handgun, a shotgun, and gernade launcher. That's IT! Except for those few things that I mention it is a very enjoyable game and I do recommend Capcom make Dino Crisis 2 with all these suggestions and more. Then it would be one great game.

This is ok. It was not the most boring game in the world but it did have a dull moment and it was very complicating you can barley get past the front gate.
Really lackluster

I wasn't very impressed with this game at all. It takes place in your typical dimly lit industrial type building, where you shoot the ocasional dinosaur and pick up various things. The dinosaurs aren't impressive at all, and you can walk right through them once you've shot them. You also have to go to a cut-scene just to climb a flight of stairs! The really bothersome thing is that so many of the things you have to do are just for the sake of giving you busy-work. You need two keys to go through a door, and you'll additionally need to input a code. You pick up all sorts of medical gear, and you have to mix them together to create new things. Then you have to pick up "plugs" to be able to open storage boxes to store your extra supplies. Oh yeah, what fun - flipping through menus 'till the cows come home. And has anybody ever hear of a cabinet that is opened using "plugs"?
Overall, this game has almost nothing that's interesting; it's just a basic shooter with a load of cumbersome inventory gathering crapola. You'll also spend a lot of time walking up to things and hitting "X" to see if the item does anything. More fun. The folks that made this should have dumped the whole inventory system and instead spent their time working on the game's plot. A few environments that don't involve dimly lit industrial structures would have been appreciated as well. And even in the cut scenes the characters walk in straight lines and turn at right angles! Jeez, needed an extra year in development and it might have been at least somewhat interesting.
Decent, but not really worth it

I purchased Dino Crisis as one of my first Play Station games. Although the graphics are pretty well done, it gets old quickly. You are running the character around the station more than anything else. There are very few dinosaurs to shoot, and it is very confusing at first. Honestly, it's more trouble than its worth.
