This game is alright. It is pretty fun and kind of scary but the game has alot of backtracking that gets annoying. Dinos become very smart and mean. This game is fun but just get ready for a couple of hours of boredom before you get to the real action. The puzzles are pretty hard as well. The music is pretty good. This game is decent over-all. Buy if you are looking for something different than zombies chasing you around.

Dino crisis is a very scary game, and overall, i think better than the sequal! Its just like resident evil but more scarier at times (when t-rex broke through the glass, that scared the H E double hockey sticks out of me!) The one thing i didn't like is that, i was reading my walk through (note: i didn't use it to beat the game) and it said that shooting should be the last thing u do against a dino! I see why and its because of lack of ammo............ BUT HEY, as long as theres enough to keep ur guns loaded who gives! I mean if u have enough and u get more little by little, i think thats fine, u dont need a whole pile of ammo!
Basically Resident Evil with dinos

This game is fun, don't get me wrong, but the problem is that this game offers nothing new to the style of game created by Capcom's own Resident Evil series. Basically its the same story you're trapped on an island where dinosaur research has run amuck and your goal is the escape before getting devoured by the many dinosaurs you'll run accross while playing this game. ALong the way you'll have to also solve some puzzles to be able to escape the island. So basically if you enjoyed Resident Evil or any of its clones, Dino Crisis is a game for you.

Great memorable game and its sequel too! I cant wait for the third installment. Hope it comes out for the PS2. Let me just say its a very good game. Great story. Regina rocks! Shes the main character. It keeps you in a very tense mood , with the musics help of course. The Rex fight was awesome. The graphics are also very good for a PS1 game. In summary, buy it! You wont regret it!
Excellent Game Very Scary.

Of course there is a lack of ammo, it is called challenging buddy. If you want easy games, try Spyro. It is very easy and you don't have to worry about ammo. This game is very good. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I really liked this game! Bad graphics, though. I know a lot about dinosaurs, so I knew there was one big flaw in the game: those bulky raptors (which are called Therizinos in the guide to the game) don't exist! Why the heck did the people who made the game put those things in the game? Were they just mutated from raptors? There is one plant-eating dinosaur that existed that was probably what those things were based on. It's called Therizinosaurus, and it's about the same size as a T-rex, and it's front paw claws are 26 inches long!! Overall, I'd say the game was great. I also have the guide (I couldn't get halfway through the game without it!). (spoiler, sort of) Here's what types of dinosaurs there are: Velociraptors (careful, the blue ones are stronger than the green or yellow ones, but also are pretty- pretty dangerous!!) Therizinos, Pteranodons, T-rex and Compsognathus (they aren't very dangerous, but they will bite you
after a few seconds of running around you). Overall, not bad. I'd recomend this to a real dino-fan (like me! But I own it anyway)

Dino Crisis is an overall great survival horror game. The storyline is a bit boring, but is enough to keep you playing the game. The graphics are okay, for a playstation game. The game itself is not as scary as other survival horror games, like Resident Evil, but features enough horror to make it a game to remember. One great thing about this game is that it has easy to use controls, which makes the game a little easier to play. Dino Crisis is definately a game to purchase if you are looking for a great survival horror game.

This game was one of the best I have played. It is the hardest in all the dino series. This is a must own game for anyone who loves to play games.

I am basically buying and beating old playstation games I never got a chance to beat. I just finished this game today and it was pretty good. The controls are prettymuch identical to the early resident evil series and so is gameplay really. The story is pretty decent the only things I did not like about the game is it can become tedious running and back and fourth and some of the puzzles, not hard, are just kind of annoying. Good pickup if you can find it for under 10 bucks and looking to waste a saturday with a 6 pack. Game should take no more than 8 hours and thats really pushing it
Just a rave review!!!

Capcom did an excellant job on this game. besides your gay comrade Rick who is completly useless. (and gay, no really i think he is gay) mainly because of his cheesy jokes and his weird apperance. oh and then theres Gail who strangely resembles Nicholai from RE3. which is also a good game. but any how onto Dino Crisis, the game has an excellant plot and a very hot protagonist named Regina. (where would Capcom be without a hot Girl) the voice acting is very good compared to Resident evil 1 (Jill Sandwhich) And survivor (the phone hang up) the charcters were dedecated to their voice acting. (surprise!) usually capcom screwd that up. the controls were easy to navigate and to remember also they were responsive. the gaphics were great for a PS1 game. the velociraptors had decent AI for the time all except the random red forcefields that some of them were trapped behind. They run into it. which is hilarious to watch. you'll see what i mean if you play it. the puzzles are not to hard unlike RE3 Water treatment puzzle. God help if u dont know the motive to the puzzle. the puzzles in DC are easy to figure out. and are not frustrating. all three weapons were useful in their own way. for example when fighting the T Rex. lord help you if u dont have any grenade rounds. after that you are pretty screwd. the camara angles weren't all that bad. the auto lock on is required. dont ask it just is. Over all a great game. a must buy for capcom fans. Hint steer clear of DC3. DC2 is also very good. happy dino hunting.
