Most people remember the old game Diablo. Unfortunetly for me, i didn't. I thought as I started playing that I would stink, at it, and I was right. But after a while I got better, and played this game for hours. Then, the inevitable happened. I got bored! The game was really good, considring the fact that the graphics are very sketchy and need more pixels, butthe gameplay more than makes up for it. The sound and controls are very good, if not great. Overall, this is a great game with goo sound and control, but very repetitive. So I recomend this game to anyone who is not easily bored.

The best game in a LONG time.

This game is superb, the pinnacle of gaming experiences.

I salivate over the thought that somewhere, someday, Diablo 3 will come out and surpass even this.

The graphics are fine for what this is, a hack and slash gore-fest. There is blood-o-rama goin' on! The game play is interesting, and addictive. The only problem is that it causes a massive loss of sleep.

One of the greatest action games.

I say that because if your like me and you get into playing this game you will lose track of time. If you are one of those people who get addicted to things easily, i highly recommend not playing this game. Dont get me wrong, this is the funnest game i have ever played on the PC. This game has no end, you can beat this game over and over but each time you do, you will find better, rare, unique, and sets of items you didnt even know existed. Even when you think you have seen every item, you havent. Not only that but you can even fight Giant cows wielding axes. This game KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game rocks

Like every Blizzard game, Diablo II will suck away every free moment you have in the "real world," and pull you into another dimention. I can spend hours upon hours upon hours playing this game, without breaks for food, sleep, or even basic bodily functions. The game is longer than the original (though not 4 times as long as they might try to tell you it is), and includes some great character classes. I recommend the Barbarian and the Amazon for single player. You can seriously play this game all day without boring of it.

One thing you might want to consider is that the multiplayer options are very different than the original. You need a really good connection, or you lag like crazy. I could use the original and have my character with a green level bandwith, and I can hardly even load up the multiplayer for Diablo II, so if you are a very multiplayer-oriented player with a poor connection, it might not be for you, but I assure you, single player if more than interesting.

This game is one of the best ever... it improved ever im-perfect aspect of Diablo, which was and still is a fabulous game. I really think that anyone who doesn't have this is missing out horribly. Buy it. Now.

This has to be the best game I have played in...forever. When you first start the game, you will be excited with all that you can explore. A lot of items to choose from. 5 character classes you can use. I have been playing this since it first came out; June. There are several pros and cons of the game. Mainly of the online service; Battle.net. The internet play makes it soo much more interesting, since you get to play with or against others. You meet several friendly people, but mixed in with those are the ones you want to kill with your character using the hostility option. :) Battle.net also has a ladder, where the higher level your character is, the higher you are on the ladder. It is great competition, but sort of nerve-wrecking. I highly recommend this game. But caution: you may waste several hours of your day just playing this game. Must be the best rpg of the year. :) Enjoy.

It took 2 years of rehab to break the addiction...

What a great game! Seriously, Blizzard is a company that seems to always make a better game each time they make a sequel or another game. Diablo II is certainly no exception. I spent about 7 years on and off playing this, and I'll tell you why. It's an almost perfect hybrid of action, PvP, and a role playing game. With that, and an almost unlimited number of items, thanks to an item stat randomizer, this game is continuously playable.

With that said, I will say this. This game is not, I repeat NOT worthy of much replay if you are playing single player. It is fun, but you will probably not get many good items unless you cheat, and your experience gain will not be sufficient most likely to let you live in the two higher difficulty levels.

Playing online is great for three reasons. For one you can trade items, secondly you have people to play with and get more exp, and finally it's free! After playing online, I promise you will get hooked. It's not like an MMO like Warcraft, but 8 people play at one time, and can chat in the rooms beforehand. Even though the monsters are the same, it's fun to try out different skill combinations, duel other players, see if you can get the rarest items, etc.

My only con about this game, is that it is addictive. I got so many people hooked, I almost feel bad. :) But do yourself a favor, and pickup a copy of this in a discount bin, preferably the battle chest with the expansion.
$19.95 is a small price to pay for such bliss, I assure you.

I originally started playing this game so that I could do something with my sons. Now I like it! It is def. a very cool game. I am not a hard core gamer and I find it to be challenging but not so hard that I am totally discouraged.
