The inovative Diablo is back. This game is a worthy sequel to a game that has lead to many a wasted hour. This game possess is great the first time you play it, it's action packed, and exciting( a quality that more then a few Role-Playing games lack)and it has a great story, I was actually in a hurry to find out what was going to happen next in the story, the movies between Acts are wonderfully done. And the best part is the game has great replay value, with five classes to choose from, and two modes to play after you beat to one before it. Each level of play is harder (much harder) the the level before it, and although you know the story lines if you play the second to levels, the challage of the quest are still there with the increased difficultity of the enemies, in short wide varity of play plus the online mutli-player aspects, make for hours more of wasted time in front of your computer, enjoy

Diablo II has the "look and feel" of Diablo I but is an entirely different game. It consists of 4 acts, each act with it's own quests, NPCs and monsters. The graphics are simply amazing, although the game is only available in 800x600. It is MUCH more challenging than Diablo I ever was, and there are different levels of difficulty (Normal, Nightmare, Hell). The item variation is also incredible, with hundreds of items to find and collect. If you're planning to play multiplayer, you'll also be happy to know that it is IMPOSSIBLE to cheat in Diablo II. The Battle.net "realm" characters are stored server-side, eliminating all ways of cheating. This is the best game of the year, and is easily worth your money.

This game is a vast improvement over the previous installation. The wilderness areas are large, offering plenty of opportunities to do my favorite thing: Wander about after all the fighting and look at the utter carnage that was wrought! There are times when something which SHOULD be there isn't, but is often there if you just reload the game (waypoints, dungeon entrances), and I have a feeling this minor bug (if it is, in fact, a bug, and not just my own PC) will not detract from the game at all. The new PC classes are intriguing, and the Paladin's auras are fantastic. I highly recommend this game, as it will no doubt earn the same high accolades as its predecessor did.
BEST GAME EVER!

This game is probably one of the best games of the year if not in history. Oh my goodness.....this game had a short install yet you need about 950 MB to install multiplayer and single player but it's worth every single megabyte. Once I started playing this game I was hooked. The five character types give so much replay value over the original game's 3. Instead of having a single town you have four towns as big or bigger as the original game's Tristram. With four cd's you are promised at least 50 hours of gameplay. There are better weaponry and you can finally run instead of walking. This game is huge and it's gameplay is huge. BUY IT NOW....please.
If you liked Diablo 1, You must get the sequel!

I am telling you, this game is the best game i have playing since diablo 1 and starcraft. Yeah there are some other games out there that are good, but this one is truly magnificent. A must for any gamer that like likes killing things, some good puzzles, or for just the joy of playing it on the net.
Absolutely addictive!

Warning: if you buy this game, you will need to set aside some serious time away from your loved ones because Diablo2 sucks you in and doesn't let go. This is one of those games where you tell yourself "Ok...5 more minutes and I gotta get going." then you look up at the clock and an hour went past. I think Blizzard includes some sort of time warp with the game. :) Ok...enough rambling, now to the game. The graphics, while a bit dated by today's standards, are still fun to watch. The magic-based effects are done extremely well and adds nicely to gaming experience. But as with most (all?) Blizzard games, the gameplay is what stands out. Like the first Diablo, Diablo2 doesn't put on any ears of what it is offering. Pure, unadulterated hack and smash. The levels are engrossing, the controls are intuitive (even for the 1st timer), the voice overs for the many characters you meet really bring you into the Diablo2 world. This game was well worth the wait.

I pre-ordered the game the 26th (4-10 day shipping), received a notice that it had been shipped the 30th on the official release date with a free 3-5 day shipping upgrade, and was totally blown away when I was wading into the action Saturday the 1st! As for the game, it was a hard two year wait but worth it. Walk around a stalagmite in one of the caves and your light casts a shadow on the opposite side. Left click for one attack and right click for another. More options to configure your controls the way you like them. No waiting when you go through the town portal or walk into a new cavern. Don't think about it, just buy it. Diablo is back; he's mad; and he's waiting on you for round two!
Great Game!

Just when I had finally given up hope that Blizzard would ever release Diablo II, it arrived! I am not a big video game player, but I loved Diablo and Diablo II is even better. The plot is more apparent, making the game more RPG-like than a shoot-em-up. You have a lot more character control/ability to specialize your character than in many other games of this genre. Multi-player is more thought-out and established than in the first game, which is great. All in all, it's an intriguing and fascinating game! Addictive too :)
Well worth the wait

I got this as soon as it came out, and lemme tell ya, it's AWESOME! The system reqs are actually for a 233 MHz system, but my Pentium 200 handles it ok, if a little choppy. The graphics are vastly improved over the original, as well as the story line, interface, sound, music, heck... everything! It's not necessary to be familiar with the original to enjoy this, but it helps.
One of the best features is all the little nuances that Blizzard is known for, like raindrops actually making splashes in the water, or the sacrificial altar replete with past offerings. heh-heh-heh.
It's okay

Well, my whole opinion of this game goes like this, the game itself
is what makes me give it 4 stars. However despite all of its pros I have noticed that the cons made me give it ONLY 4 stars, such as it's lag time and it's non improvement in it's graphics. I really like the game overall and am happy with the purchase of it.
