The reason i gave this game 2 stars was the fact that u can only beat act 4 so many times. Sure, at first this was instantly my favorite game. But after about a month, there was nothing left to do. I had the best items in the game, i tore diablo a new one, and beat the thing on every level. I would recommend just borrowing this one from a friend, because it isnt worth playing for very long....
By far the best real-time fantasy/RPG game

Ok: This is the BEST computer game on the market. Produced by Blizzard, and selling Gold before it's initial release, this game is a must if you don't have it already. Heres the plot: Diablo "Lord of Terror" has taken over the mind of a once-great hero, and is poisening the land on his way to hell, where he plans to base his attack on earth. Your job, as a hero, is to battle your way to hell, and destroy Diablo! Extraordianary movies complement a great play interface. Buy it now!!
Spen dyour money on something else!

My friend bought this game and was and still is obbsessed with it! He kept telling me how great it was and I went over and tried it out. Big whoop all you have to do is point and click and have an IQ of at least 5. There is no point to buying this game. Now my friend bores my with long conversations on how he could make his guy better or why they are so good in the first place.
P.S. This game is a waste of time and money don't get it!! Also If this form had a 0 star I would give it that!!
Repetitive

If you like clicking banners and advertisements off your screen you will love this game, cause thats all it is, clicking annoying flying/popping graphics off your screen.
As addictive as Diablo

If you liked Diablo, you'll love Diablo 2. Blizzard kept all the good features of Diablo and added many new ones to create a much better game. For instance, each different character type (there are 5) has a unique set of skills, which makes playing each different type of character its own unique experience.
Blizzard also made improvements in many areas of the game. They added an auto-combat feature (if you hold down the mouse button, your character will attack the monster until it, or you, dies) which makes combat much easier (and reduces fatigue on your trigger finger). Gold is no longer stashed in piles of limited size, which frees up your inventory for more important items. They also added a private stash, so you don't have to leave items laying around town.
Multiplayer mode has many improvements also. If you die, other players cannot pillage your corpse (unless you explicitly allow them to). Blizzard now stores characters on their servers, which reduces cheating (which plagues Diablo).
One of the most interesting features has to be Hardcore characters. Once you complete the game, you can designate new characters to be Hardcore. If a Hardcore character dies, he is gone forever!

This game is the absolute best game ever created, so far, well I guess not, but this is the best made rpg ever. Believe me when I say that because I have played ever RPG computer game ever imaginable, and this is the best ever. The character classes are a great improvement from the prequel, and its much better than the first because of the character skills. Instead of all the characters having the same spells, they diversify in the meanings of their classes. Plus, instead of having to buy spells and things, you get to learn them.
*****The only drawback I have seen in this game is that you may not learn town portal, which creates a portal which transports you to town, and can only be used by u once, and indentify, which explains itself.
Overall this game kickimus maximus butticus.
Sorry I know PS2 uses that slogan but i really really really like it. ...

This game is truly horrible in my opinion. It has no real plot, there are only 5 classes, You cannot customize what your characters look like or sound like, the side quests are horrible(if any). All you do is kill ,kill, kill. Missile weapons have no real use here because you are constantly being bombarded with monsters that blow up into a disgusting pile of blood when you kill them. The people who made the game are geniuses, I would never in a thousand years find so many ways to make a game terrible.
Fun to an extent

At first this game seems awesome. The artwork is flawless, the music nice, and the cutscenes amazing. The voice acting varies from professional to amateur. The fun thing is building up your character till he/she becomes godlike. There is a skill tree for each character containing 30 skills each. However, what you don't realize at first is that most of those skills are useless and only about 5 per class are really usable. The only point to most skills is seeing the cool animation and that's about it. This game is all about eye-candy. Your characters look cool but you soon see everybody else looking exactly like you so what is the point. Wow my lvl 40 druid looks just like yours and he has to choose the same 5 skills to stay playable. Pretty pointless all in all. I've tried the game with all 7 classes(with expansion).
So basically you choose your main 2 to 5 skills you will use and the game becomes a repetitive cycle of using the same skills over and over and over till you get so bored you wonder why you have just wasted so many hours clicking the mouse button to see the same thing over and over again. The only novelty left after you have mastered the use skill 1 then switch to 2 then back to 1, is watching the appearance of your character change into more powerful versions of themselves and collecting more powerful items. That's the only way it resembles an rpg... character advancement. Otherwise, this game is just an arcade style hack and slash. The plot is something I could have cooked up when I was twelve. No, it's worse, haha. All, in all, this game can give you pleasure but you'll soon be wondering what the point of it is. I feel dumber each time I play it. It's sad that games have come to this and we still play them. It's as though we are being doped up voluntarily. You want a real RPG, try fallout, or an AD&D computer simulation. Betrayal at Krondor was a beautiful RPG. I wasn't sorry for wasting my time playing that. When are they going to make a shadowrun RPG?... that would put these to shame. I want an rpg to challenge me intellectually. This game just feeds on a formula for amusement till you realize what is going on. You're the lab rat hitting the button for your reward. How depressing. I'm downloading a demo of Neverwinter Nights and hoping that will be more imaginative, as I have to find some better way of wasting my time. LOL, later.
