This game is awsome one of the best i have played in a long time. I bought max payne at the same time and beat it on hard in only a few days. DTR has kept me hooked since the day i got it. The gameplay is second to none. The story is not as indepth as MP but the gameplay, action and graphics keep you entertained. One draw back is that it is hard as hell. It took me 30 minutes plus to get through the first wave of gunslinging pumped up baddies. The built in mini games are really great. (Especially the stripper one ;-). Overall this game is awsome but it rent it play it!!

Its ok but Namco could've made the play control a little better plus the MartialArts they promised are not! in this game! Now that really sucks! I give it A 4 out 5 I really think RockStar should've got the rights to this game more than Boring Namco!

I have to say that this game frustrated the [heck] out of me, from the bad camera tracking, to lock-ups, difficulty and controls that really should have been overhauled to be more usable. After all that though I didn't give up on the game, because while it did frustrate me, I really liked playing it. You REALLY have to learn how to use the controls of this game. I would recommend mastering SLOW-MO and using human shields. These two methods are your best friends, they will get you out of alot of though jams. Definitely not a game for those who like things nicely wrapped up with great controls and such, not that there is anything wrong with that, but about 90% of games have some sort of problems, if you can overlook the drawbacks, this game really rocks.

AFTER READING MANY REVIEWS MYSELF I WAS KIND OF CROSSED UP WHEN I FIRST PLAYED DEAD TO RIGHTS.LET ME TELL YOU THIS GAME ROCKS YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL IN GAMING ITS VIRTUAL REALITY AT ITS BEST THERES TIMES IN THE GAME WHEN I WAS LIKE MAN I CANT BELEIVE IT LETS YOU DO THIS.LET ME JUST SAY THIS TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT SAID

This game is great. There are so many different fetures and levels it keeps the game cool and interesting. I have been playing for weeks and still havn't been able to beat it. I often get stuck, however I usually find a way to win. It's a great game and every xbox owner should have a copy.

I HAVE OWNED AN XBOX NOW FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS. UP TO THIS POINT I HAVEN'T FOUND A GAME WORTH BUYING. UNTIL TODAY, WHEN I RENTED DTR. I'M NOT A VIDEO GAME NERD LIKE MOST OF THE GUYS WHO WRITE ON HERE. I WILL JUST PUT IT IN THE WORDS OF THE NORMAL AVERAGE EVERYDAY GUY. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST GAME OUT THERE FOR XBOX. I HAVE RENTED ALMOST ALL THERE IS OUT THERE. WHILE MAX PAINE IS GOOD THIS IS BETTER. JUST TWO THINGS THEY COULD HAVE DONE BETTER...........THIS GAME CAN BE TOO DAMN HARD AT TIMES AND THE CAMERA ANGLES COULD BE BETTER IN A LOT OF PLACES. BUT THOSE TWO THINGS DON'T HURT THE OVER ALL FUNNESS OF THIS GAME. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS GAME IF YOU JUST WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. .....AND I JUST HAVE TO ASK?........AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDN'T THINK HALO WAS ALL THAT GREAT?....I MEAN IT WAS OK BUT NOT AS GOOD AS EVERYBODY MADE IT OUT............ For those of you who thought DTR was a copy of max Payne its not. In fact this game has been in development before max Payne. Need evidence check egm's review for dead to rights they tell you it was in development before max payne. The graphics are alot better than max paynes as well as the story. As well as the gameplay and enemy A.I. . The game is really hard but only sissys would give up on this game. The controls are simple (learning curve 10 min.). the game was originally a PS2 exclusive. So i have been waitin for this game since launch date of Ps2 and im not dissapointed.

I finnaly beat this game in around 10 hours.Its a long game and and some parts you feel are impossible so you want to rip your own hair out or scream and go dumb!!!In the game your father dies so you have to get revenge and its everyone against you!People say its like Max Payne thats not true exept for they both have slo-mo and in the story of Max Payne his Wife and Daughter die and in Dead to rights his dad diess and they both have dark hair and wear dark clothes!THATS IT!!!Max Payne VS Dead to Rights Pros for Max Payne 1.Bullet Time(slow-mo)and u can do it walking around and not just diving.2.cool guns.3cool clothes.4.cool storybut ther about the same.cool hair. pros for Dead to Rights 1.hookes and stripper.2.slowmo dive(and its higher and 100 times loger)3.cool hair.4.cool clothes.5.different kinds of clothes.6.disarms.7.better weapons.8.human shield.longer and not as easy. i like dead to rights more

Better than Max Payne

Most people have compared this game to Max Payne, so I thought I would too. First off I wanna say that the only thing similar to the two games are the story lines, the gameplay is much different. I think DTR easyly wins in the gameplay category. You can hide behind walls and turn and shoot real fast, you can crouch behind things, you can lock on to targets and do manuel shoot, you have hand-to-hand combat, you can slowmotion dive like in MP, the only thing you cant do is see bullets in flight, but oh well. The only downside to this game is it's pretty hard. Into about the 3rd chapter it usually took me a few tries to get past the hard parts, but usually only 4 or 5. The graphics arent great but that doesn't matter that much because you dont really think about it when you are killing mafia members or watching a stripper. My advice is to rent this game before you buy it because you might not like the challenge but if you do you'll love this one, definly a keeper.

I recently rented this game and I must say It is one of the best games of The year. The game plays out good and no matter what happens you want to keep playing. I did however not like the minigames.
