I first heard this was a great game from my friend whom I carpool with. So I had to rent it. It was so cool! The graphics are amazing. So far I've only gotten Kokiri's Emerald but I had already been impressed by Nintendo. It is the best adventure game next to Super Mario 64. I highly recommend this 3D, action packed adventure game.
Pretty good game -- with flaws

Overall, this was a pretty good game -- although it lacks plot. It's your over-used save-the-princess-that-can't-do-anything-for-herself plot. The temples are fun, and so is the time-travel, but when you're a kid (you spend half the game as a 10-year old and half the game as a 17-year-old), the game is really slow.
The game has virtually NO dialouge, and you never see Link speak. It always seems like a one-sided conversation, like you'll go up to somebody and they'll say
"How are you?"
No answer from your character
"Oh, that's great! What? You say you're looking for the princess?"
That kind of thing. Also, Navi (your personal fairy, called a fairy for a reason) and that DAMN owl (whose name I can never pronounce because it's too freakin' long) are SOO annoying!!
Anyway, that's my evaluation of the game. You want my advice? Borrow this game from a friend first. If you like it, buy it. And also, if you don't already have one, for God's sakes GET A PLAYSTATION, then buy Final Fantasy VII, VIII, or IX and start playing a REAL RPG with a GOOD plot and CHARACTERS THAT TALK.
Don't get me wrong, I liked this game alot, and that's why it's getting 4 stars from me. But, there ARE better games out there. Don't agree? Try the competition before you judge it, otherwise you'll just look like an idiot trying to defend an inferior game.
A great game wounded by its cartoon like nature.

I am pretty picky when it comes to video games. When I buy a fantasy RPG game I think Middle Earth. You know a serious swords and sorcery type thing. This game may have fabulous gameplay, good music and decent graphics but I had to take that last star away due to this games rediculous light hearted theme. Some characters are so unessicerily cartoony it makes me want to rip the game out of the system and toss it across the room. Now dont get me wrong I like this game alot. It starts out great. A good cinematic and a good opening dungeon. It keeps going strong for a while with what is a great plot. Then somwhere it just gets too goofy for my taste. For example this is a fantasy game yet there is a ranch in it. When you enter the ranch twangy country music plays and the owner talks like a texan. See what I mean its just out of place. I have not fully beaten the game but so far aside from the comical arrow in its butt this is a really good game.
Awsome Game

I got this game 2 years ago and I still like to play it. It is a really neat game and is fun for a long time, because there are so many ways to go. I like it when the horse jumps over the fence right after you rescue it. But I think it should be rated teen not everyone because it has some gore and blood. This is a a great game and I recommend it for new gamers.

I own it and I won the whole game. The last boss is
Ganondorf. To beat him you wait for his thunder ball attack.
Hit the tunder ball to send it right back at him, then use
Light arrow . shoot it at him.after go to him and slash him.
Do this at least 3 times.Later on.. You will have to fight Ganon. He spooky(only for the girls)just kidding,ha ha.Find ways to attack his tail.
fun!

I have zelda at home and i thought it was really bad at the start because me and my brother couldn't even get past the first level. But once we passed the first level we started to think it was really really good. Once you get the hang of it it is easier because my 5 yr old brother is now able to pass most of the levels. It has good graphics and is challenging but not so challenging that you want to give up, if you are unsure about this buy it because the violence is not that bad at all.
The must have game.

When I first played this game it opened a realm of open and free gameplay. I was outstanded by it's flexibility with the environement, very interactive. Total 3D mania. Oh man you have scenery many cool tools 'n' weapons to choose from and a hella cool adventure that hooks you in. Probably the most compelling thing is the story. It's about a boy link destined to stop the evil king Ganondorf from destruction. Simple yet diobolically entertaining. All of these characteristics create a game that' my fastasy.
The best game ever made

This is the best game ever made and I have found that this is a game that once you are finished with it all other games begin to seem mundane. I have tried and tried to find a game that even comes close to providing the quality of puzzles, graphics, and fight sequences provided by Zelda 64 and I have not even come close. If you are looking for an awesome game this is the one.
Zelda is the greatest game in the history of mankind!

There is nothing better than Zelda.
From when you start it to when you stick your sword up Ganon's gob, it's an experience you'll never forget.
Forget Final Fantasy. Forget everything.
This is real gaming.

this the best game i would rate it 10 stars playing 9 stars educational 50 stars price u use an ocarina to travel back and forth in time get the master sword + the biggorns sword as a child you go through the great deku tree dododnogos cavern and jabu jabu belly + adult forest temple fire temple water temple shadow temple spirit temple and gannons tower the puzzles are educational to solve since you think which you most likely do in other games other than zelda the story is cool you different boots tunics and much more + it has more levels than majoras mask that had 4 and this has around 10 i even sold it for [$$$] it is an abouselet worth it gameyou might not need a guide but if yyoum get it ruins it because you dont have fun plus you skip the thinking part it compares to other zelda games in a big difference i really like it and you should get it here is the story a man from the desert wants to find the triforce to rule the world but link gets in his way and tries to stop him and thats what you do for the game go through dongeons and save hyrule again no yawns since its better the every other game sometimes it become a hassle and a pain in the neck since you dont know what to do
try everything till it works - main key of the game you just beat it since i told you the seceret but sometimes it still wont work for bosses or something if you do everything which i did and did not beat the game since i was stuck in the water temple but then i beat it go through every door beat every enemy hit all the switches etc you will evantually beat like paper mario well sort of this game was the 1998 game of the year when i got majoras mask and ocarina of time and the was like this:
