Rogue Squadron is an excellent game, and unsurpassed by anyother game involving flying and blowing stuff up. There are little stormtroopers, TIEs, AT-ATs, AT-PTs, and more to blow up. The artificial intelligence is NOT great, until the last level (excluding secret levels) where the fully robotic TIEs are purely evil, not to mention annoying. However, this is a great game, featuring all your favorite ships from Star Wars. There are three secret ships and levels. The three ships are the TIE interceptor (enter tiedup at the password screen), the Millenium Falcon (enter farmboy at the password screen), and the Naboo Starfighter (enter halifax? then !yngwie! at the password screen). The three levels are the Begger's Canyon Run (unlock all levels on Bronze), the Death Star Trench Run (unlock all levels on Silver), and the Battle of Hoth (Unlock all levels on Gold, which is insanely hard). Overall, an excellent game with a good price.

This game rocks! The Expansion Pak makes notable improvement of graphics and control, yet isn't absolutely necessary. Getting all the gold medals without the cheats is a challenge, but gives it added dimension. And you have to play this one louder than sanely possible because the music and sound effects are so good, they'd blow George Lucas away.....to a galaxy far, far away! Rumble Pak? .....A MUST HAVE! Get this game.

It's finally here! After endless months of waiting,Star Wars;Rogue Squadron has arrived! After one too many dull WCW wrestling matches,I was ready for something that didn't include fake moves, perversion,or wrestler taunts.I was quite ready for some honest rebellion against the Empire, ready to blast a pitiful stormtrooper from a starfighter, ready to shoot down the Death Star trench, blasting TIE fighters and knocking out gun turrets!I put in the game, and was completely blown away! First there were the graphics, which had me waxing nostalgic over the original movies.I mean, you can even see the little R2 unit! Second, there was the great control system! The folks at Lucasfilm sure can do it right! You can fire torpedoes, shoot your laser cannon, and accelerate without losing any time at all. Thirdly, there was the awesome amount of detail that went into the game. You could see the Sarlaac pit,the individual people running around Corellia, and the teeny little landspeeders rushing around Mos Eisley! If you like Star Wars,or just plain flight-shooters,you'll love this one!

Although the gameplay may be difficult to adjust to, the graphics and soaring realism alone make this game an adrenaline-pumping sensory experience. Unlike standard 3D shoot-'em-up games, this one requires players, incarnating Luke Skywalker himself, to fulfill specified mission objectives (not unlike the classic "GoldenEye"). In order to experience the game fully, however, it is recommended that one purchase an N64 Expansion Pak, which retails for around $30--not a thrifty price, yes, but a significant accessory for the full gaming experience. The game itself may test one's price range, but once played, it may well be appreciated as a sound investment. The game's landscapes are lush and colorful, and the ever-fluid vehicles are true to the details of the Star Wars aesthetic. (The X-Wing is my favorite). The John Williams soundtrack thunders in all its symphonic glory, while one lives out realistic battles against the evil Empire. For fans of Star Wars games, this is certainly one of LucasArts' finest creations . Play it for yourself, get hooked, and May the Force Be With You. . .

"Rogue Squadron" continued the series of good Star Wars games for the Nintendo 64 with good flare. It had some of the best graphics seen on the system at the time when it first came out. The terrains, the ships, and the enemies look realistic, and there's not much pixelization in the game at all. The action is fast and furious and the gameplay couldn't have been much better. The sound in "Rogue Squadron" is almost as good as the graphics. From the laser shooting to the sounds of destruction, this game's sound roars with intensity. The only thing that keeps the sound from being perfect is that Luke Skywalker and some of the other characters don't sound anything like they do in the real movies. The control is top notch, allowing you to make tight turns and every other maneuver without a flinch. The only drawback that I could see with "Rogue Squadron" is that after the first level, the game gets almost impossibly hard. There should be a training mode so that you could get used to some of the missions that you have to accomplish before you actually have to try them. Other than that, this is a great game and anybody that likes shooting/action games and Star Wars fans should like "Rogue Squadron" pretty good.

Rogue Squadron is one of the best games I`ve played in a while. The graphics, sound, and all of the action makes you feel like you are right in the movie. It has all of the ships that were in the first three movies and there are codes to get other ships. All of the levels are full of action and you never put the controller down once you have started playing. You can play Rogue Squadron a million times and it will still be fun. That is why I think it is one of the best games I've played.

Your flying at about 1000 feet above the ground when suddenly out of no where comes a tie intecpter above you with cannons blasting. You turn left, a lasor goes by which could have meant certain death. You flip, catch the imperial by suprise and shortly after he is bantha fodder( dead.) No, this isnt a movie, it's Star Wars: Rogue Squadren. This is one of the best game ever produced and my statement is what many people think. Awesome. Blast the Empire through about 20 levels of non-stop fun and great replay ability. Such classic levels include the Death Star Trench Run and even the Battle of Hoth. The controls are godly and the graphics are almost too good for a system like n-64. One of the coolest things the producers made was the medals, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum ( yes there are platinum medals, but you have to be a nut to get them.) If you can get all platinums ill give you a cookie( not very tasty.) The more medals you get the higher your rank becomes. I give this game a 200 out of 100 ( not a typo, it is that good.) [...] THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE! ( I suggest the sequel which i heard is even better for gamecube, and the game is 1 player and hi-res capability. Game runs better and looks better with hi-res.)
