Star Wars Episode I Racer is a severe disappointment. It does not have anything interesting, other than ramming you oppenents. Worse, it damages your pod! There is no sabotage, and there is no blasting your fellow racers. It will not hold your interest for longer than a day (mine lasted 1.5 hours). Star Wars fanatics should buy Rogue Squadron instead. Or, better yet, Perfect Dark.

The game is ok, don't get me wrong, but if you crash and your pod blows up, you always come back. In other games, you have limited "lives" and once you use them all up, the game is over. I also think that for non-Star Wars players, there is no information about what is going on in the story.
They used "STAR WARS" to sell the game

This Game is not your "run of the mill" game. This racing game has aliens from all across the star wars galxey. Some are faster, with small and More Manuveral Pods, and some are slower, with Big and Tough pods. Never the less this doesn't prove anything. If you loved the podracing scene in Episode 1, You'll love this game more than anything. Hint: "Last but not least" is the Best.
this is cool

I have owned this game for about half a year now, so I know what I'm talking about. This game is great for anyone who likes racing games.
Pro's: *There is a large diversity of racers and tracks *You can customize your racer (ex. traction and acceleration) to fit your liking *You can taunt other racers in your driver's alien language! *It is challenging so you don't lose interest too fast *Many creative and/or amusing add in's_ Con's: *Can only play one and two-player games
*Doesn't provide intrest for long *Geting stuck on courses can get frustrating but you do get through them
These are only a few of the advantages and disadvantages in this game but I still think it deserves a high rating. This game is definitly worth the money!
Not bad.

The graphics, sound effects and music are excellent. The quality of the animation is very good. The variety of courses large and varied. However, they're all very long...
The first race course, is the one from the movie. It's easily the best of them all. After completing the tournament, you can race on many different courses on many different planets. You can be Anakin or anyone else.
The graphics on some of the courses are a little rough and you get the sense that perhaps a few things were left out in the rush to production.
However, it's a fun game to play, but I would recommend checking it out at a local store or renting it first, just to be sure.
600 mph? Ha!

I just got this game and I absolutely LOVE it! Its really fast paced and requires a lot of racing skills (a step up from MK64). Definitely buy this game. It has 3 different sets of 7 tracks, at three different difficulty levels. Plus another four super advanced tracks. There are also 24 diffent Pods to choose from. Buying parts from Watto is a real plus, and is fun to do. Oh, as far as going 600 mph, as it says on the back of the box, this speed is much too low. With one of the fastest Pod Racers I've reached speeds of 1300+ mph! No kidding! Of course, this was on a straitaway using a turbo boost, otherwise you usually average about 500-600 mph.
Awsome! Eciting!

This is indeed the best racing game i have ever played. It's filled with cool racers and pilots( including Sebulba) awsome jumps and a whole lot more. However, it's easy to beat but it's fun with codes!
