The Best Action Game of all Time!

It must be very hard to make a sequel to the smash hit GoldenEye but Nintendo succeeded. Although this is not a James Bond game, it is something like an unofficial "sequel". Visually the graphics are better than the already amazing graphics of GoldenEye. The single player game is the best around: the bad guys are smarter, the objectives are more complex, and each level is more exciting than the first.
While GoldenEye lagged in the multiplayer department, Pefect Dark not only has the original multiplayer but it also has Co-Ops (two people play single player missions), Counter-Ops (one person plays the bad guys in single player missions), and challenges where one person can play simulants in multiplay maps.
While the game is violent (notice the "M" rating) it is a very fun and imaginative action game. Another success for Nintendo!

This a great game! It really pushes the N64 to the limits! The detail Rare put into this title is amazing (you'll understand when you play it). Plus the replay value is incredible. There are so many missions, guns, codes, modes, characters, and options to unlock it is almost overwhelming at first. But it is the gameplay that truly makes this game shine. Just like its predecessor Goldeneye, it is just plain fun walking around shooting things. This is a game that is destined to be a classic and was worth every penny.
This game is just as the title says, PERFECT!

This game is fun challenging and incredible. There is no way for you to compare to the experiance of this game unless you have tried it yourself. Each level is smooth and attractive as a movie set would be. The enemy come in various levels of intelligence where some would be cautious, scared, suprised, or hostile to your appearence, there are still those who will surrender. Frame rate is very fast for a smooth appearence but gets choppy when you make use of the games multiplayer capabilities. The only extras you should get are an expansion pak and a gameshark.
Great for newcomers to the genre

Being a gamer used to the slower paced moods of RPGs, puzzle games, and the like, I did not expect to overly enjoy this game.
Just goes to tell you first impressions ain't everything, eh?
Being *extremely* similar to Goldeneye (another Rareware game on the N64 that still sells well), this game is not only fun for its involving and often humorous plotline, but also for its ridiculously fun multiplayer capabilities. Going head to head with your friends is fun, but the fun adds up even more when you see the new gaming modes Rare has added in. Veterans of the genre will recognize themes like "capture the flag" and "king of the hill". In addition, the option to play "counter-op" is included - where one player takes on the role of the heroine and the other player takes control of the enemies in pretty much any of the single player missions.
In addition, players have to work to get all the fun stuff - most game modes, weapons, and difficulty levels are only unlocked after the player has played through a significant portion of the single player game and possibly completed certain tasks. Its well worth it to do so, trust me. With well over 50 different weapons to choose from, multiplayer is the main reason to buy this game.
The one downfall is the requirement of the N64 memory expansion pak to play more than 60% of the game. Without it, the standard N64 doesnt have enough RAM to handle Perfect Dark's intense graphics. Serious gamers wont find this a problem though, as they should already have one, and those that dont will find that some places will even sell you the pak & Perfect Dark together for a cheaper price.
Worth the wait...

Like many, I had been patiently waiting for this game for more than a year. I finally got the game last night, and all I can say is wow! The simulants, the training missions, the solo missions, and even the gun range are cool, but I can't wait until I get my usual GoldenEye death-match partners over for a 12-way war with 8 computer-controlled participants.
What really amazes me are the little details where they improved upon GoldenEye. Having the characters talk to each other, each weapon having two functions, and the wide variety of cheats and codes to unlock are just a few.
I'm very thankful that we have a 3-day weekend coming up...

Perfect Dark is awesome. I played it for the first time yesterday. I loved Bond and this is everything Bond had to offer plus a lot more. Perfect Dark has better graphics, better weoons, smarter enemies and awesome multiplayer. I would not think twice about buying this game. You will not be disappointed !

The best part of this game is the absolutely insane amount of secret stuff in here. You can there are 4 secret levels, a ton of cheats, and lots and lots of junk in multiplayer. As far as solo goes just play perfect agent. That is my only gripe, agent is way too easy and it kind of ruins the story line(ibeat it the day i got it)

Perfect Dark has to be one of the best f.p.s.'s ever. Just the multiplayer options alone are enough reason to buy it! Also, the choices of weapons are amazing! We're talking Fly-By-Wire rockets here! And guns that can shoot through walls! there are also three classic goldeneye levels to be obtained, along with a few goldeneye weapons.
The only thing wrong with Perfect Dark is the stupidity of some of the simulants (except for Dark sims, damn those things are tough). If you are buying this game, be sure to pick up the expansion pak also, without it you can't do many of the things that make this game so great (you can only do 35% of the game without it).

This game is the best game ever to be made!! The challenges are really hard and will keep even the most advanced gamers occupied. Actually, the multiplayer challenges are the hardest part of the game itself! You can get a friend to play counter-op., or co-op., or go into the dark by going solo. There are a variety of sims to play against in multi with 6 levels of difficulty. If your looking for a great game, this is the one! I bought this game about 3 months ago and I still havent beat the multi or solo. That doesn't mean it's hard, it's just challenging!
Quite Possibly the Greatest Nintendo 64 Game ever!

After playing Goldeneye 007 for very long periods of time, I knew that Rareware had created one of the finest game to ever grace the Nintendo 64. When I first heard that Rareware would not take the James Bond licence for their next First-Person Shooter, I was a little skeptical about what would they produce. When Perfect Dark finally made it to the stores, I picked up my copy and started to play. I have to say that this is one of the best Nintendo 64 title ever. This game offers so much with so many different options. It has a great single player mode that offers three levels of dificulty that will leave you playing for hours. Plus, the best part of Goldeneye is back with the all-famous Rareware Multiplayer. The Perfect Dark Multiplayer is not even compareable with Goldeneye's to the extent that it raises the level of expectations. Perfect Dark's multiplayer offers many different modes with so many weapons, characters, and levels. This game is hands-down one of the best!
