Perfect Dark is the best first person shooter I've ever played on any system. Every aspect of the game is superior to any other first person shooter. It has one minor flaw though, the graphics fall short of Godeneye's but still are quite good. The gameplay modes, weapons, etc... however, are unbelievable and make this game a MUST HAVE! If you liked Goldeneye and first person shooters try this game and Turok.

When I first saw this game at a friends house, I thought it would just be another first-person-shooter. Boy was I wrong. The graphics for this game are razor sharp and extremely detailed. The awsome grahics compliment the detailed storyline, involving Agent Dark, the evil company DataDyne, and even a little alien named Elvis. Sound good? Well, I haven't even mentioned all the weapons and options! There are tons of guns in this game, including a gun that can shoot through walls, a gun that you can deploy as an autogun, and fly-by-wire rockets. All of the guns have two firing options, which makes for even more trigger-happy fun. There are tons of play options as well. You can play the single player game with a buddy in either cooperative play or competative play. In the multiplayer game, you can customize weapon lists, choose from tons of maps, and even play against computer players for when you don't have a friend to play with. All in all, this game is the best N64 game to come out so far, even better than Goldeneye! It's worth every penny.
A great follow up to Goldeneye

I think this game is great in every aspect. Multiplayer is better than goldeneyes because you can team up with your frinds and play aganst sim players and pick certain guns to use. The one player game has a great story line and is not that hard for goldeneye veterans. The multiplayer challenges are great and this game will definatly exceede goldeneye. I would not recommend this game to a person who squrms at the sight of blood. But anyawy this game is great and buy it today!

This game has no equal, it is awesome. I wish people would stop comparing it to Goldeneye because they can't compete. PD has the graphics and the gameplay where Goldeneye was lacking and this makes it much better. From the game to the mulitplayer to the other levels and challenges it is a well rounded and well made game for anyone's tastes, not just action and shoot em up fanatics. I think also that it has the challenge set for anyone so that no matter how bad or good u are the game will suit you and grow on you as you progress.

Heck yeah its a good choice,i just got it and i been playing it all night, didnt get a nights rest cause of this game and i still have not beaten it,i'm kinda person who beat every thing in the game, even get the hidden stuff. Best if you like 3d shooters games and very graphic. But i still say Goldeneye is better and a classic. :)
I miss this game so much...

If you like multiplayer FPS games, I can't recommend an enlistment in the US Army highly enough, if only for the ENDLESS supply of competitors in every barracks dayroom, government-provided 52" big-screen TV's, and soldiers who will selflessly, willingly drain their bank accounts to the bone every month for the latest and greatest in games and systems. Not to mention all that high-speed military tactical training which gooses your bloodlust for this kind of gaming in the first place. Having played 'em all, from Wolfenstein to Half-Life to MOH: Frontline, I can't think of any I played with more fever, more fire, and more friends than Perfect Dark. This game ate a lot of hours of my life away, and I don't want them back. I just want more of them.
The AI is outstanding. Simulants are the most fun-to-kill "bots" in any game, ever. I love the little touches, like the way you can make them all spastic chickens in pink or yellow suits or throw in one man-in-black G man who hunts the winningest or worst player down like Ahnold, relentlessly. The options for what kind of simulant madness you want to throw yourself into are simply staggering, and completely necessary if you don't have any friends. And all this AI slaughter, as fun as it is, is only like VR training for complete frag-outs with up to 3 of your best buds or worst enemies. It's so much fun, I want an N64 just for this one game.
Now, about the weapons, two words: LAPTOP GUN! This is hands-down my favorite FPS weapon of all time, it opens up tactical opportunities for surprise and cover like you've never seen in a game. Collect a bunch of ammo, hit the alternate mode, pick a spot on the ceiling, wall or anywhere and THROW. Instant watchtower! The first time I saw this sucker I was in love. There are probably guys at DARPA at work on 'em right now.
Try a 4-player king of the hill with some bots, Proxy mines and Laptop guns ONLY and tell me Perfect Dark doesn't make Goldeneye feel almost ten years old. Which, of course, it is.
Red Faction is IMO the most fun you can have multiplayer on PS2, and except for its unique brand of GEO-MOD goodness, most of what I like so much about it is borrowed from Perfect Dark, from the alternate weapon modes to the bots you love to grease.
I love this game, I miss this game. It often amazed me, sometimes angered me and usually made me laugh my head off but never bored me. The bean-counter in me loved the stats panel which tracks kills, deaths, ammo expended, etc. The story was cool and compelling, with layered objectives that always made sense and got totally weird in a campy sort of Avengers-meets-Bond-goes-to-Venus kind of way. Not to mention all the non-stop action and gunfire, gunfire, GUNFIRE (Mr. Blond's mission was the closest I've ever seen to what being a Terminator must feel like). And like I've said, the multi is unsurpassed if all you do it on is a console, and you don't mind small spaces for CQB. All this and it's three years old to boot. Go figure.
Best N64 game ever? Could definitely be....

Before I had Perfect Dark I had 007 Goldeneye. Since at the time I had no idea what Perfect Dark was, I had no idea Goldeneye was crap compared to it. Then I got Perfect Dark, and I felt like throwing Goldeneye out the window! This game blows it out of the water! PD is an amazing follow up to a great game, and in what PD has that 007 doesn't is...
1 - Multiplayer challenges, test your skills against a bunch of meatsims (incredibly easy) or a few Perfectsims (uh, perfect?), and there are THIRTY of them!
2 - Multiplayer sims: As I said before, you can choose the difficulty and even type of sim you'd like to face. From meat - perfect, and even Venge sim, peacesim, and fistsim, amoung many others.
3 - Complex arenas: This what Goldeneye failed in. The multiplayer arenas in that game were at most very small and it was easy to spot your adversary quick.
4 - Carrington Institute: This is your base, you can look around and even try the shooting range, combat training, and item training.
5 - Perfect Dark has incredible N64 graphics, perhaps some of the best the system has ever had. Goldeneyes graphics were HORRIBLE!
6 - Cooperative play, you can either play with a human or even a sim to get started on the mission.
7 - Counteroperative Play: This is by far the COOLEST addition to the game. One of the two HUMANS is the good guy (I mean girl), and the other is one of the soldiers in the stage, the soldiers can even take suicide pills!
PD is also a great 1 player game, with i7 missions to play on Agent, Special Agent, Perfect Angent, and another to unlock if you're good enough. I like stages 1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 13, 15, and 16 the most, only 17 is bad in my opinion. Well, I'm done.

This game IS perfect. Perfect first-person shooting, perfect
guns, almost perfect graphics.
It's a challenging game, not like: "shoot everything you see."
You have to protect people and thing's like, big-headed skinny-
body alein's, an idiotic, wreakless agent.
And the gun's, there's more than I can count, a handgun you
start out with has laser-sight and can be used with a silencer
or a scope, it's called a Falcon.
There's all kind's of missions, I haven't even beat the whole
thing and I sit in front of my N64 day and night and did I men-
tion night-vision, and on three of your missions are in AREA 51!
1) Infiltrate the base
2) Rescue a big-headed, english-speaking, smart-alic alein named
Elvis
3) Escape with "Elvis" also known as "Protecter One"
Anyway if you like first-person shooting, kick-butt gun's and
shooting guns out of your enemies making them surrender and wet
their pants, you'll love this game.

I really like this game. The deathmatch has had me coming back for more, and I thought that I would never EVER quit the single player mode. (I can still hear my friends yelling at me to get the hell to the deathmatch, or they were going to hit me with a chair. they did too.) Even though the sixty-four is sinking like the titanic, It has a library of awesome games. Including this one. Buy This one off this site. It is only Twenty Bucks! trust me, that is a deal! Buy it today.
If only I could go OVER 5 stars!!!!

First off, let me say...BUY THIS GAME! This is a classic piece of art that should be played by the world. That may sound like a lot, but this is one of the best games ever made. It's a first person shooter with a James Bond feel to it. This game has way better and MORE guns and gadgets. Here's what the game:
-Solo Missions
-Co-Op Missions
-Counter-Op Missions
-Combat Simulator
-Challenges
-Institute
-Extras
-And more
_
The solo missions have 3 Difficulties: agent, special agent and perfect agent. As the difficulty increases so do the people. You also have to do more things.
_
In Co-Op and Counter-Op you can play the missions with a friend. You can help or stop them.
_
Then there's Combat simulator. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!There are almost an infinate amount of different games you can make. You can have simulants that have personalites, abilities, difficulties, looks and teams. You can play with four(4) people. You can customize weapons, teams, music, preferences, arena, type and much more. I've spent hours just making and playing games with my friends. This could be the game in itself!
_
The "Intitute" is your work. You can walk around and go to the firing range, simulation room, basement, gadget training, and your boss. This is like a tutorial.
_
Completing the Intitute, Challenges and missions can unlock new missions, cheats, guns, gadgets and different Co-Op/Combat simulator simulants. There is a cheat mode so you can beat teh game both ways and if you beat the game without treats your in for a treat!
I don't want to go into to much detail but if you get this game I SWEAR you wont be sorry. This is better than most games coming out now. I still play!!!
