This Game is the Best

This game is very fun, it is also very challenging. It offers a wide variety of gameplay because there is 3 different characters. The cinematic scenes look VERY realistic and the surround sound effects are great. The battle mode is fun, not as good as Golden Eye, but it's fun. Overall, it is a good game.

Perfect from start to finish and beyond

When I heard about this game, the first thing I thought was "This looks like GoldenEye in 3rd Person!" When I rented it later, I found I was correct, but that was the ONLY similiarity the two games share. An arsenal ranging from head-cutting Shurikens to the almighty Tri-Rocket Launcher gvae me many ways to eliminate my foes. The AI is also very smart, with the ants taking cover, ganging up on you, even surrendering if you can take out a bug gang FAST. The Racing Minigame helped keep my friends' interest for quite a while. 3 Characters to play, each with their own special Abilities (I won't say) made this game better than great. As well, the final boss, Mizar, was actually HARD. Try fighting Ganondorf from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and you'll find he's a pushover (LoZ is beyond perfect though). In JFG, however, I had to actually EARN my ending by fighting a really difficult end boss. The downsides were few and quickly overshadowed by the better parts. One thing was the cutscenes. Each took a while, and all the while, my trigger finger was itching badly. The Cutscenes look very nice though; watching your ship land (and occasionally you see them walking away after the landing) kept my mind off the length for a while. Another thing is the 285 Tribals (Complete with prerequsite N64 cuteness) you have to rescue. I found that if I accidentally killed even one, I would have to start the level over. I found that a pain at the beginning levels, but in the later levels, when you have even more firepower, it's actually fun to blow through the entire guantlet again. Replay value isn't much, but that's because it mostly comes in returning to earlier levels with much, MUCH heavier firepower. Overall, this game is one of the very best games made for the N64. If you have the money, go ahead and buy it. At the very least, rent it and hope you have some Cola with you; you'll be glued to your N64 until you can finish this masterpiece!

Thanks for reading this far down.

My Favorite Game of the 99

From the moment I put this game and heard the beautifil music I knew right then that I would love this game.People always complain about Nintendo being to kiddy well this title is no kiddy game. When you kill a bugit explodes and its blood albeit green goes all over the place. One of myfavorite moments in the game was the first boss battle where you had to literally blow every part of this bug up and you finish it off with a nice homing missile to its head. The graphics in this game are nothing short of amazing and its being done without the expansion pak.The music in this games proves that the 64 can play some really awesome musi if they made a soundtrack I'd buy it immediately. With this game being the lead up th Perfect Dark I just can't wait.RARE justs keeps getting better and better and if they kepp going at this rate they could very soon pass up Nintendo as the best developer in the world.Keep it up RARE can't wait for Perfect Dark and all your Dolphin games.

A Gem Worth Seeking

This game is a very well-done cross themed game. It is a shooter at heart, but it has many elements of strategy, puzzle, and adventure games. As twins (Gemini) Juno and Vela, and their dog, Lupus, you are the last of the once mighty Jet Force, a kind of intergalactic police, you must stop an alien infestation against a peaceful species, the Tribals. The terrorist Mizar, a giant robotic bug, has created an enormous army of bugs to send at you, and if you're not careful, you'll be exterminated. These soldiers are smarter than the average bug, mind you. They snipe, duck, execute hostages, and even surrender. But you have your own tools to rid the world of these pesky insects, including a pistol, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, and a homing missile launcher. The story is pretty good for a shooter, and it includes a number of puzzles to solve. The three character system is pretty cool, because each character has different abilities, so you must explore each world with everyone to find everything. This is no easy task because the worlds are huge! This game will keep you entertained for a long, long time, because even after you finish the story, you still have the great multiplayer mode to tackle.

A great game for people that want a great shoot 'em up game.

This game is very well designed with physics and graphics. It is one of the most realistic games I've ever played. It has LOADS of replay value. The missions are very fun and involving. There are lots of AWESOME weapons like the Tri-Rocket Launcher. Bottom Line: You gotta have it.

If you like a challenge this game is for you.

The thing I liked the most about this game was the amount of strategy and exploring while you got to blast bug drones all at the same time. This game has lots and lots of levels to complete and with it's RPG elements, this in a great game for people who like a challenging game!

The Best N64 Game of 1999

Jet Force Gemini is an amazing mix of GoldenEye, Zelda, and Starship Troopers. You play as the Gemini Squadron, made up of Juno, his twin sister Vela, and their cyber enhanced dog Lupus (picture the 6 million dollar K9). Their newest mission is to save the Tribals, a race of cuddly little bear-Ewok things, from Mizar and his army of killer bug drones. You are armed with several bug-splattering weapons, like a JFG Pistol, Homing Missile Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Heat Seeking Shurikens, and my personal favorite, the Tri-Rocket Launcher, which sends three rockets hurtling toward your target. With killer graphics, an amazing soundtrack, plenty of hard puzzles, and hilarious jokes and places (like the Big Bug Fun Club, where there are bouncers, a DJ, and a lot of disco dancing drones, plus an arcade), Jet Force Gemini is the best video game of 1999, and an instant classic.

This is one of the best games from the last 10 years. Awesome game play and art design. Too bad it wasn't a hit. The AI of the bugs is amazing very hard to shoot them sometimes. I never completed the game either. I do think all of the endless collecting was a bit tiresome. Perhaps, the game only flaw. Anyways, pick this game up. Where else can you play a game that has a dog with jet pack and machine gun attached to it?

Jet Force Gemini is another classic game from Rare

Jet Force Gemini is a great game from the developer Rare. Although it has a couple bugs it is still a great game. It has many puzzles and is also very challenging. It has huge levels and there are three charaters so this game is incredibly large. I recemend this game for anyone who likes a good game and just wants to have fun.
