FZeroX is a quick pace futuristic raceway that allows the user to race in a multitude of different cars. Each car has a different look and feel (speed/acceleration). The cars hover over the track and accelate using rocket engine technology. There are a wide assortment of different style tracks. All of my kids enjoy this game and is great for the whole family. Death Race is fun as well, in which you try to knock off your opponents and be the sole survivor.

This is a true classic and puts Wipeout to shame. 30 cars, 30-odd tracks and 4 difficulty settings. Add to that the three modes of play ( GP, Time Trial and Death Race ) and that you have to progress through the game to get all the cars and tracks available so there's real compulsion to play on further, this could be the best racing game on the N64. The excellent Multiplayer mode (that was the only thing missing from the classic SNES version) is the icing on the cake. An essential purchase.
This game is great!

I really liked this game when I played it. I thought it would just be another racing game, but I really like the random course generation feature. It is good to play multiplayer with because each course is a new experience.
Wow! So fast it blinds!

This is one of the greatest racing games ever. 36 tracks with a random track generator. 30 vehicles to choose from. Awesome 60 frames per second speed. Great multiplayer. This game will blow you away!

This is by far one of the fastest games ever made. This is better then my past favriote games that are: Whipeout XL and F-Zero. This game can with stand 26 cars on the screen at once, and still can do with the 60 frames per secound. It dosen't get old with the X Cup around. The X Cup is made with reandomly generated courses, I have seen well over 100 of them. Thats not all! When Nintendos DD64 comes out you can make 3-D courses with its add on pack. So if you don't have this game, run to the store and pick it up.
WOW!

What a great game, sure the tracks are a bit bland, and the cars have a low poly count, but the simplicity of them gives them a kind of sleek feel. All that sacrifice adds up though, and the framerate is AMAZING, with all the cars zipping around at 700kmph its SOO COOL. The graphics are meant to be FUNCTIONAL, it is not a sightseers game, anyway, you'll be too busy going hyperdrive to stop and look at things. The X-CUP is especially great because it randomly generates a track every time, so you NEVER get the same track. Also the pure selection of cars is great, and the tracks are SO well laid out, especially big blue (the tubing one) where you race 360* on a tube! It RULLLES! The best racing game on the N64!
Action! Speed! Excitement! Skill!

This game has it all. A high-quality racing game with a wide variety of cars and tracks. Play multi-player or against the computer. Take a time-challenge or race in a tournament. Play a "death match" until one player is left.
This is a remarkable sequel to the original SNES F-ZERO game. The graphics are awesome and the animation is smooth, the sounds great.
It's also inexpensive than many other games and far more fun than most others.
My only complaint is that you have to accomplish so much before you're allowed to use the more advanced cars. Downloading the cheats from the Internet really helps.
Fun and FAST

F-Zero X may not have the best graphics in the world, but it makes up for it in pure gameplay.
The graphics are pretty streamlined, but you do have instances when you see 30 unique cars on the screen at once without a trace of slowdown. The whole thing zips along at a speedy 60 fps, making for very smooth racing. In fact, you can almost get spoiled on this. Every other console racing game will seem jerky in comparison.
The gameplay is the thing though, as F-Zero X proves. Not only do you get 30 unique vehicles with equally unique drivers, but you also get 24 tracks. The various attractions on these tracks include death-defying leaps, amazing loop-de-loops, and intense racing along a cylinder! You'll feel like the race tracks are styled after roller coasters. Each of the 24 tracks has something that sets it apart from the others. If these aren't enough, you can unlock the hidden X Cup feature where the game randomly generates tracks from a base set of parts. Get ready to look at some wild tracks from this! One track, Rainbow Road, comes directly from Mario Kart 64. Only about ten times faster.
The sound also boasts some fun remixes of music from the original SNES classic, as well as adding several new tracks. I also like how this game has no real weapons. Sure, you can swerve into the other cars and such, but there aren't any missiles or flamethrowers here. It's truly a test of who is the better driver!
The downfalls? Well, the graphics are a little bit utilitarian (but who stops to appreciate details at 1200 km/hr?). I'd love to see a feature in multiplayer racing that lets you do an entire cup, rather than individual races. And the announcer's voice quips get repetitive. But other than this, F-Zero X is a very awesome racing game. Play it for yourself.
the greatest racing game ever!!

This game is full of great stuff for anyone. With 30 machines to race with, you are bound to find one suited to your racing style. It has 3 starter "cups", serieses of 6 courses with the 29 other racers, and 3 difficulty levels. Beating the same cup on all 3 levels will get you a new row of machines to race with (you start with 6). Once the starter cups have all been beaten on standard difficulty, the "Joker" cup will appear. It is another set of 6 courses, much more advanced than the others. The 3 starter cups, plus the "Joker" cup must be completed on all 3 difficulty levels before all 30 machines will be available. Then, the "Master" difficulty level will come up, and it is EXTREMELY hard to beat, with all of your rivals in the games storyline attack you and basically do anything they can to stop you from winning. Altogether, this is a gem of a game, with lots of game play variety, multiplayer, and one player. This is definitely the best racing game made for the N64, and is strongly recommended.
Possibly the best racing game on the N64

I was a fan of F Zero from way back in 1991.It was the fastest racing game yet.So when I heard that there was a sequel coming out I couldnt believe my ears.I was even more ecstatic when I heard that it would run up to 60 frames per second.Thats fast! And it delivered.Yeah the game has some flaws such as the graphics arent the best in the world but come on its F Zero. Its all about speed and fun and with F Zero X thats what you get.In addition to the 4 characters from the original there are 26 additional others such as Super Arrow and Jody Summer. There are 4 courses with 6 tracks each.Did I mention the speed? Its unbelievable and with such a flawless frame rate graphics dont matter. And who cares how the cars look?Whats important is that they all look original.Whereas F Zero GX failed to impress me very much F Zero X is a classic. Its one of the best games on N64.Nuff said
