Wow! So fast it blinds!

This is one of the greatest racing games ever. 36 tracks with a random track generator. 30 vehicles to choose from. Awesome 60 frames per second speed. Great multiplayer. This game will blow you away!

Amazing Futuristic Racer

This is a true classic and puts Wipeout to shame. 30 cars, 30-odd tracks and 4 difficulty settings. Add to that the three modes of play ( GP, Time Trial and Death Race ) and that you have to progress through the game to get all the cars and tracks available so there's real compulsion to play on further, this could be the best racing game on the N64. The excellent Multiplayer mode (that was the only thing missing from the classic SNES version) is the icing on the cake. An essential purchase.

FZeroX is a quick pace futuristic raceway that allows the user to race in a multitude of different cars. Each car has a different look and feel (speed/acceleration). The cars hover over the track and accelate using rocket engine technology. There are a wide assortment of different style tracks. All of my kids enjoy this game and is great for the whole family. Death Race is fun as well, in which you try to knock off your opponents and be the sole survivor.

Incredible Racing Fun.

Every part of this game bursts with fun. The Grand Prix is awesome, the multiplayer is tons of fun, and even the deathrace (which looked dumb before i played it) is cool.

I would recommend this to anyone. Its one of the better games on the n64.

I really liked this game when I played it. I thought it would just be another racing game, but I really like the random course generation feature. It is good to play multiplayer with because each course is a new experience.

Pretty cool racing game

Being creative in a racing game is kind of hard since racing is a pretty one-dimensional concept: get to the finish line before the other guy. However, by adding weapons to the equation, Nintendo created a very exciting racing game!

No wait, that was Super Mario Kart for SNES.

However, this game is not an ordinary racing game either. This is mostly because the tracks are very different. Some track segments are contained in pipes where every way is up. Two tracks are made out of a big cylander and you race on the outer surface (maybe this was done in Wipeout, but I've never played that). There's a lot of cars to choose from (maybe too many if you ask me), and you can alter your car before each race.

Overall, a good game, but nothing spectacular.

This is by far one of the fastest games ever made. This is better then my past favriote games that are: Whipeout XL and F-Zero. This game can with stand 26 cars on the screen at once, and still can do with the 60 frames per secound. It dosen't get old with the X Cup around. The X Cup is made with reandomly generated courses, I have seen well over 100 of them. Thats not all! When Nintendos DD64 comes out you can make 3-D courses with its add on pack. So if you don't have this game, run to the store and pick it up.

A good game falls short of greatness

This is a good game, I have really enjoyed playing it. Things I like: 1) There is a lot of diversity among the drivers/vehicles that you can use. 2) I liked racing against 29 other racers as opposed to the norm of 3 or 7. 3) Very fast, and the courses are great, and there are 3 levels of difficulty 4) Pretty good multiplayer gaming.

Things I didn't like: 1) Weapons. Weapons would have been nice... it is hard to use the spin and slide attacks effectively in a real race. 2) With 30 racers, they could have had more diversity. Vehicles are only distinguished on 3 attributes on a scale of A to E, and many have the same ratings. 3) The comic book theme was a little cheesy.

Great game!

F Zero X is hard at first but once you get the hang of it it's great. There are a lot of vehicles to choose from. The tracks are great and there are a lot of them. The cars are hard to control sometimes and you can fall of or run out of energy. The graphics aren't what I expected-in fact they aren't very good at all but the game is still good. The game doesn't boring very quickly. I gave the game a 4 star rating because of the graphics.

one of the best games i have played in a while
