Deus Ex , in few words: It is a Great game

Deus Ex takes the best from some games and put all of it together in a single game, it isn't just another shooter where you are the all-powefull super man, who kill everyone with his super weapon, here you are a man, ok a man with nano technologies and augmentations, but you can die with a few hits in your head, or you could lose some speed if you get hit in your legs. DeusEx is a game where you can finish each mision in your own way, maybe you can get what someone want and trade it for what you want, or maybe you can just shot him and get that in the easy way, every desicion you take will make the game to go in a diferent way, while you play and complete objectives you will get skill which you use to give your player skill in computers, electronics, rifles, lock picking, etc. If you like a RPG kind of game where you can explore , decide and shot some bad guys, this is the game for you. And if you enter in EIDOS website you can download the patch for multiplayer and a lever editor for you to create your own leves for a multiplayer game.

If you are not sure yet to get the game, don't think it too much, go get it it is great

New Type of RPG

This is a revolutionary new game. It is a new concept. This is an RPG through a first person view. Although on the outside it looks like another shoot-em-up game like Quake or Doom, it isn't. You can't go around blasting people with rocket launchers and never get hurt like in Quake of Doom because one or two shots and you die. If you fire a rocket launcher, the alarms go off and the turrets start to fire and it is the end.

There are many skills people can learn in this game which is what makes it an RPG. Everything from Swimming to Environmental Training (I still don't understand why someone would be a master in that) can be learned. The best part about this game is there are many ways to complete the mission. If you are a swimmer, you can take the sewers and take a covert approach. If you are a hacker (My favorite), you can hack into the computer system and disable the cameras and turrets. If you are a master in Medicine, go in and blow everything up then heal yourself. There are always many ways to complete every mission.

There are a few cons for the game. The main con was the graphics. The graphics are very good, but they take a very high chip. My computer is an average Pentium II and it struggled with this game. I had to make it a window because if I made it fullscreen it ran very slowly. I also had another problem. Sometimes it was very dark. Sometimes it ran fine, then it was dark. It isn't a big problem, but kind of annoying because the whole game is played at night.

Other than that this is a great game. I gave it 5 stars because of the storyline and compared to most games it did not have that many bad points. I urge people to buy it not only because it is a great game but because IT IS ONLY ..., WHICH IS A STEAL.

Better than Half Life or Tomb Raider

This game was the first shooter I had ever played. Boy, what a way to get started!

Since finishing Deus Ex, I have tried Half Life, Tomb Raider, System Shock 2, and others. System Shock 2 is good (same developer as Deux Ex!), but the others don't measure up.

Why? The others are just shoot, jump, explore, shoot. With Deus Ex, you have a great story, lots of options, different ways to finish a given level, and best of all, different skills to build in your character, just like a Role Playing Game (RPG).

I played this game for three months part time. I wish I could find another as good as this.

Deus Ex was the second 1st person shooter I've tried, Half-Life being the first. As a newcomer to action PC games, I was initially astounded at the types of products available in the industry. After playing several different games, I developed an expectation for excellence. Eidos and Ion Storm quite easily meet those expectations with Deus Ex.

I'll cut to the chase . . .this is a wonderful game, full of action, intrigue, suspense, and drama. In fact, it plays like a movie, or an engaging novel. I felt like I needed some Deus Ex Anonymous meetings after the first week-I played constantly. Thus far, I've played from start to finish twice. I am sure I will again. I always thought computer games were for losers who didn't have anything worthwhile to do with their time. I was wrong. These games are great fun. I feel like I'm IN the movie.

Don't hesitate to buy this game. . .ask the wife first, as mine got sick of vying for my time. I am happy to say I can put the game down now . . . at least for awhile.

I might add that I own a powerful system that supported the action and graphics wonderfully. It does take up a lot of memory though. Great stuff!

Anybody that didn't like this game is [on drugs]. It has been about half a year since I finished playing and I still remember it like it was yesterday. At $19.99, just buy it, you won't be dissapointed. This game is the first that combines a good plot, decent voice acting, and the freedom to accomplish goals in multiple ways. It is the first time a game has been so immersive that I felt like I had taken on another identity. This game points to the future of entertainment. Becoming an active participant in a story is much more entertaining than watching a movie. Some day, somebody will figure out how to create a form of interactive entertainment like this that the general public won't label as a "game." When that happens, movies will be a thing of the past.

This is one of the best games ever made. Very few games (especially in the first person shooter genre) manage to combine such an intelligent and broad plot with great action, and detail (for example, at one point I went into the ladies room at your base and later on my boss yelled at me for doing that.) You can play any style you want, you can go in everywhere guns blazing, or go through the whole game killing almost nobody. Its all up to you.

Everyone should stop buying "Soldier of Forture" and "Deer Hunter 12" and buy this game instead. Its simply one of the greatest games ever made.

This game is great. Its graphics are pretty good but not great. Also it doesn't come with multiplayer but you can download that or just get the Game of the Year Edition. Just about any first person shooter fan should enjoy this even if you only play twitch games like Quake. That's the great thing about Deus Ex, it plays however you want it to. If you are more into games like Thief you can play in that fasion and sneak around in the shadows. Just get this game - you will love it. The idea of adding RPG elements to the game is also a good idea and helps you have your own personal experience with Deus Ex. By the way, playing on realistic is much more fun. The first time I played it was on easy and then I played a second time on realistic and had a blast.

Shaken or stirred is entirely up to you. This game mixes Action, RPG and elements of Adventure gaming to the perfect mix. I hate Action games, but this Actionn/RPG scores in everyway possible. The very beauty of this game lies in the X-files type plot and the amazing playability. You can finish the game the first time, as a stealthy assassin. You can finish the game the second time as a Terminator, all guns blazing. The only low of this game is that it is based on the really old Unreal engine. The Unreal Engine seems to Jagg a lot at rare, I mean rare occasions.

The story is about Deciet, Lies, Govemerment plots, viruses & your Charactar, JC Denton. This is definitely the best game in years. There are better Action games out there. There are better Adventure games out there. There are better RPG's out there. But there is not one game out there which blends all three genres, to a masterpiece such as this. Warren Spector, who made this game must feel like a Michelangelo, admiring what he made, and being admired for it.

now's the time to. This is a very revolutionary game that allows you to play it how you wish. Many games have a very linear path to follow, not Deus Ex, you can play the game without killing anyone if you want, or you can outright kill everyone you come across. The game also has 3 endings depending on the choices you make. This is a classic and should be played by any gamer that has any interest in rpg's, first person shooters/sneakers, or just someone in the mood for a good story.

This is one of the most fantastic games i have ever played! One of the biggest pluses is how well you can interact with the environment. Like Counter-Strike, ther are crates you can hide behind, but you can also break them opened and find items. Overall, the only rel flaw I can find, is that the voice acting, and mouth movements are less than perfect. Buy this game.
