THIS IS A VERY GOOD GAME IT IS MORE THEN JUST A SHOOTER IT HAS AN OBJECTIVE. YOU START OUT WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMETN THEN YOU HELP YOUR BROGHER THAT BETRAYED THEM AND NOW YOU CAN JUST GO AND HIDE WITH YOUR FRIEDDS FIND THE CONSPERIORY. I WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS BUT THERE ARE SOME MINOR BUGS IN IT SO I GIVE IT 4. BUT OVERALL IT IS THE ASOEM HAS SOME STRAGITY, RPG, ACTION. YOU CAN BLST YORU WAY THROE OR HIDE IN THE SHADOWS AND SNIPE (HE HE AHTS FUN)

Without a doubt, this is the best game out for the PC so far this year! It is an early runner-up for GAME OF THE YEAR! I got it the day after it first came out and I LOVE it! This game is like combining The Matrix with System Shock 2, another great game from Eidos Interactive, and ALL THE ACTION YOU CAN THINK OF PLUS AN INCREDIBLE STORY-LINE WITH THE STATE-OF-THE-ART GRAPHICS AND AMAZING SOUND EFFECTS! I RECOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT FOR IT IS THE BEST PC GAME OUT THIS YEAR SO FAR. IT IS ALSO AN 3D RPG!

After serious extensive training I am ready for my first mission; I enter the world called Deus Ex, I talk to people, search for stuff, and can move in any way I want, hidding behind crates, silently taking down enemies and by the use of many different skills and tactics I advance. I find the most amazing things, sunken ships, hidden rooms, overhear usefull conversations, while best of all is, none are required but all help, I could have played this mission in a hundred ways, but I played it MY way. Deus Ex is MY game and it will be YOUR game if you play it too.

Just about the best game this year has seen. interactivity, AI, graphics, sound, everthing is the best, plus the complete player freedom. Anyone who has a computer should get it!

This game is great! It lets you play the way that fits you best, this is what games are all about; True interactive entertainment. Games are always full of enemies and obstacles that you need to figure out how to pass but this game has many ways to pass every situation. You can play this damn game a million times and always have a different experience!

Deus Ex is one heck of an awesome game. It's like a combination or Soldier of Fortune with Thief: The Dark project. A player can hide in the shadows and snipe at his enemies or run up behind an enemy and take him out. You can also pick up an enemy's body so that other enemy forces won't see the body. You can also search dead bodies for weapons,ammos, etc. It's a great game, though it does not have Soldier of Fortune style violence, it is still violent and fun to play.

This game almost scared me. If I wished to dominate the world, I would do it the manner the game describes. It may not be coincedental that a fictional(?) United Nations coalition. The plausability of the plot made it highly engrossing. Other than that, it is a good game. I notice that most of the people I have spoken to that complain that the game is too hard played it using firepower as their tactic, which is arguably the hardest way.

This game is my all-time favorite.
Its one of the few games I could stand to play for longer than a week. The story is the strongest point of the game. The action is not bad either, but the story made me come back and back again. With many games (like Baldurs Gate) I got tired of the repetitive story as I got closer to the ending. Not so with Deus Ex. I got more excited with every enemy I killed, every person I spoke to. Every day I was more eager to play and see where the story would take me.
The only drawback is the fact that you can't stay with UNATCO.
It's simply a brilliant game with a great story and characters. The atmosphere is the best I've seen sofar. Especially HongKong was really cool.
Cant wait for part II...

I bought this game with some hesitation....and have never looked back. This game has intrigue as well as a great shooter. If you are looking to just go around and shoot things, this game is not for you. But if you want to actually have to use your brain and figure out ways to accomplish tasks, then buy this game. Especially at this price....
