I had picked up the PC version a few month back and thought that game was excellent. The XBOX version will not dissapoint. This game isn't ranked #2 for nothing. RTCW doesn't even have a movie to back us up either. I loved HALO but, in my opinion this is even better than HALO. RTCW has a good chance at being XBOX game of the year.

I have been playing this game since it was Wolfenstein-3D, then the next version, Spear of Destiny, incredible!!! But when Return to Castle Wolfenstein on PC came out, this game was THE BEST!!!

Now on X-Box it...what can I say.....AWESOME!!! From playing it on the PC for months, it took a little while to get used to the new controls, but with the processing speed of the X-Box nothing can compare, since I have been playing the Wolfenstein series of games I think my opinion, which might be a little geared, but I think this one is just as good if not better than Metal of Honor which is the next favorite of mine. I highly recommend this game for anyone into the first person shooter. The graphics and performance is amazing. Activision you have a hit!!!!!

I hope you make you guys make a next version, with new missions, for the PC as well as X-Box, I think you have a hit.

I have been playing it on single player mode, but I know when I go on multiplayer, I better get prepared for that 7 year old to kick my butt.

Well this is comming from a 39 year old gamer.....so in short GET IT!!!!! You will not regret it.

This game is probably good when played over the Internet or when linking systems, it would probably be a lot of fun just playing death matches but the developers didn't think to include that little feature. I've only played the single player game so that's all I can fairly rate; I'd probably give it a 2 and a half. I don't have X-Box Live so I can't rate that aspect of the game nor do I have three friends with three X-Boxes so I can't accurately review the linking feature, all I can review is the single player mode and it is just OK.

Not 1 reason not to like this game..

Return to Castle Wolfenstien:Tides of War is an extremely fun, intense, and addicting game. RTCW:TW is probably the best first person shooter to hit xbox since Halo.

The nice twist about this game is the fact that you not only fight Nazi's, you fight monsters and demons as well. You never know weather or not you will find a trigger happy Nazi or a grop of Crypt Monsters with sheilds and axes waiting around the next corner-or both. Scary stuff.

The difficulty is a small problem; your health decreases quicker then it should and you could die in a short period. However, if ths as an easy game, it wouldnt be ta much fun now, would it?

The graphics engine is smooth and beutiful an the enviornments are perfect. Plenty of hallways, locked rooms, and cover to hide behind to make it an immersive game.

No argue over the best feature of the game-the cooperative play. You and a friend can battle along side each other through the missions which is extremely fun. You can watch your buddy's back with binoculars from afar while he sneaks up behind a Nazi guard. And if you see him about to get attacked- whip out the sniper-need I say more?

Bottom line is- this is fun intense addicting violent fun. No doubt on buying this game. Buy it now and thank me later. Oh yeah one more thing- I will see you on Xbox live.

...but a great sequel of the FPS! This game is a fresh rebirth of the computer classic Wolfenstein 3D. Purists may argue that that there shouldn't have been any look up/down, but then again was that by design or limitation of not having any floor/ceiling in the original....we'll give id the former. But let's look at what this game is...fun! Storline wise it stays true, and blasting Hitler's minions has never been so fun. The graphics are clean, yet XBox has done cleaner, especialy when things get frantic and full on the screen, the framerate suffers. On B.J.'s arsenal, he gets the usual run of World War II weapons, Thompson Sub-Machine Guns, Colt 1911 pistol, German MP-40's, plus here's where the rebirth really takes shape......sniper rifles! You get two, a Mauser with a sniper scope, and another M1S Snooper Night Scope enabled rifle. The FG42 German Paratrooper rifle has a great kick and sound, you'll really enjoy that rifle especially the controller feedback. Plus the best machine gun of them all, the Venom, basically a mini-gun! There's also a flamethrower, that at times seems cumbersome to use, and there's a RPG that really packs a mean punch!!! The sound is fitting, orchestral type sound track throughout, a more industrial synth driven track would have been more suited. The Nazi's don't speak German,...but English....hmmm, captions would have been better here. Tons of levels, and a 3-D engine that fits great for online, and multiplayer, spells a great game!!!

I thought this game would be something like SOCOM for ps2. Doesn't even come close. I've experienced nothing but lag and a sick feeling to my stomach. Literally playing this game for 30 minutes, I started to get nasuous. In fact I'm taking this game back today to trade it in for something else.

Wolfenstein was not at all like I expected it was way to medal of honor like no stratagy involved at all and the enemies were way to predictable, On my Halo scale this game gets a 3.

A well combined horror, shooting, and story

Wolfenstien is another jewel to the Xbox collection. A first person shooter shooting monsters may sound a little odd to adult gamers, but dont let that fool you. This is a game with VERY "fluid" gameplay. Its levels are just like most FPSs, not like a huge open place like Halo. I havent tried multiplayer since I'm temporarily disconnected from live, but basically you Start in Egypt in tombs and run to castle wolfenstien then onto more crypts to investigate activity in the SS Parinormal division.
The game has a horror type element in it, the graphics are good and when you first encounter zombies, it will be hard not to be startled. The game can get pretty scary since you are in Crypts and Tombs, with hyroglyphics and spike traps everywhere, and with undead jumping out of walls, the game can become a "I rule your Nazi butts," to "run from these ugly powerful monsters that just wont die!" *machine gun fire*
Another good thing about this game is that you can save anywhere. Useful for big firefights. You get alot of weapons to Machineguns, pistols (useless) rocket launchers, etc. Each level also has secret areas and treasures, and some require stealth, or outright run for your life guns blazzing. Here are the Pros and Cons:

Pros)-
*Very fluid gameplay
*Medal of Honor type deaths, realistic falling and such
*very good sounds, from machine gun fire, to Nazi screams, to Zombies breathing behind you
*Save ANYWHERE!
* Very "deep" story like MGS or Halo

Cons)-
*no maps or anything, so finding your way through towns, camps etc. to a certain point may be a little challenging, but nothing impossible.

Despite a little challenging levels, the game definetly Gets 5 stars

c est un bon jeu qui ressemble 2 gouttes d eau a la version poc , mais la version xbox est plus stable , la connection est meilleur que sur pc , mais a part ca le jeu est le meme. bon graphique mais pas mieux pas pire que sur pc. le gameplay est bon , jouable sur le live.
