I have read tons of reviews for this game and seen what is to come and this game seems awsome. I own Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the PC but i know im going to buy this game for the xbox. It has extra levels, characters, co-op mode, xbox live, new maps, and everything. This game is garenteed to give you a long good single player campaign. The game also allows you to play throughout the whole single player campaign with a friend so it makes the game even more worthwhile.
Just be sure to pick this game up when it comes out!
Not worth the price

The game was a complete disappointment. Maybe I had my expectations set a bit too high. All the landscapes seem similar and like one of the other reviewers correctly pointed out, the controls make your head spin. Very difficult to figure out where you are on the map and where your partner is (if you play the co-op mode)and the colors downright suck
Go to a different shooter

This game has way below average graphics and sound. It has no real storyline. It's like an old doom game which were alright then, but should be much better now. The replay value is nothing great. Avoid this and go for any Tom Clancy stuff or Halo or many other shooters over this one. What a dissapointment.
THE BEST GAME EVER

I first played rtcw on pc at my cousin but since I didnt have a pc I bought for xbox and it is true that its hard to ge the controls the way like the is freakin hard even on the easiest dfficulty the first level is easy but once you start fight zombies and monsters it gets difficult it still pisses me of that you cant save on coop but xbox live is the funniest way to play multiplayer but not a kid 14 but just to say its funniest and most intense game ever its worth the time and money

Wolfenstein is a legendary frachise. First appearing on Apple before the time of the Mac...then Atari, DOS, Commodore64...ID software picked up the ball and Wolfenstein 3D became one of the first FPS (first person shooters)...leading into Doom, Quake, and the rest is history.
Tides of War is an incredibly ugly, flat, lifeless, colorless and borish game. The graphics relative to other xbox games of it's era simply do not measure up. Very dissapointing.
Quake3 Engine. Not the best.
Better on computer

If you want to play RtCW, buy it for the PC. It's exactly the same game with a different subtitle but you can play online for free. The single player is decent but Activision didn't even bother copying Halo in the co-op mode. When you play co-op you can only play missions that you've gotten to in single-player. That means that if you almost beat the game with a friend and you quit, you have to start from the beginning the next day. Why wouldn't they let you even save co-op in a different profile?
not all that great

I love first person shooter WWII games so I rented it. I played till I got to the first undead people you fight and was saying " Cool dead people" Then started saying " boring " Then I faced A huge dead creature and said"awsome" then found my self saying boring again. The game takes to Wolfenstein then out then back again Plus no cheat codes. this game wasn't all that good.

Return to castle Wolfenstein (RTCW) first of all I'd like to begin by saing that I could be considered a Wolfenstein faithful as it and I go back to the days of Wolfenstein 3D which quite arguably started the 1st person shooter(and t). Of course since this review is of the Xbox version the obvious comparison to Halo will actully not appear (cus it annoys me), both single and co-op modes are excellent the one major fault I found with it is that co-op mode didnt have its own individual saves ie you had to complete the related level on single player for it to be available on co-op.
Looks and plays better than PC.

I have a normal TV and it STILL looks great! I can't wait to see it in Hi-Def. Anyway...
This is a great game to have on a console versus the computer. There is no slow-down during hectic times, no "compatable" this-and-that to buy, but mainly because most people have a much larger TV than computer monitor. It is definately the must have game until H2 comes out.
This is going to be GOOD

I played a beta demo of RTCW: TOW for XBOX, and its awesome. Great enhanced graphics, same sound, same gameplay, NEW OPTIONS. The single player game play will be the same as it was on the PC, but the multiplayer will be different. There will be cooperative mode and more, coop will feature all new missions, and lots of them. This game should also be a major xbox live hit. Since it's fully compatible with it! In the demo you can go up to 2 players in coop, one mission in sp, two missions to choose from in coop, with no xbox live option. The demo did have frame rate issues tho, I'm sure performance will be improved on final retail release. Just be prepared for another wolfenstein gamem to come down the tunnel and rise to the XBOX(also, stay tuned for Return to Castle Wolfenstein game for PS2 that is coming out too!) I recommmend this for any wolfestein fan gamer! ;-)
