I would say the only thing this game has going for itself is the graphics, and that can only last a few hours before it starts wearing off. The replayability of this game is very limited, it's a good thing I only rented this game instead of forking over [money]. Control schemes are limited unless you happen to like one of the 3 default controller setups it has. Also it's not very flexible with driving wheels.
The engine sounds are very muffled. The navigator's voice is hard to understand, sometimes he jumps ahead a few turns, other times he calls out the turns RIGHT before you reach them.
The car-physics is barely there. You can see the car from the outside swaying as it turns, but when driving in the car, the car turns way too fast, even on gravel. Sometimes I got the feeling they sped up the game's time to make everything SEEM faster.
It's about time that games are judged not just by its graphics.

If all you care about is graphics, this game is for you. The visuals are absolutely amazing... but the game itself is boring. It doesnt bring anything to the table. If you want to buy it, then buy it from me cause I don't want it anymore...........1

Some of the problems I have with this game are: 1)Tracks are too easy, not challenging. 2)You don't make up time on the turns. 3) If you floor it all throughout the race, your not penalized, finesse is not rewarded, and the damage on the car doesn't affect your speed. 4) Tracks are generic, and not specific to a certain country. 5)Feedback is gimmicky.
This is a game for a younger audience under 10 years of age. For a more realistic Xbox game, I recommend Colin McRae Rally 3 and if your willing to wait for November of 2003, Colin McRae Rally 04 will be coming out.
a bit to diffucult in later stages of career mode (beginner)

The game is great looking but what's up with the diffuculty level in the later stages of career mode. I don't know about anyone else but I don't care to spend a full day trying to learn each turn of one certain track so I can come some what close to finshing 2nd or 3rd. The faster cars that you open up are no fun to race with they go to fast for the later races and all you do is spin out at every turn, they are to hard to keep on the narrow tracks. This game is worth a rental, after a week or so it's just not any fun you'll find your self getting very angy (I try to avoid these kind a games). I believe a game should be a journey you would not normally experience in life and enjoy doing it not hating it, especially at the prices these games are now a days.
Real cars don't behave like this.

First, I definitely have to give the designers of this game some credit for the really wonderful graphics. I'll admit that I may just not like this particular genre as much as I had hoped. But here's my problems with the game.
*It's much too easy to roll your car. It's difficult to cut loose and run the car full throttle in this game because you're always rolling the car.
*The tracks aren't particularly designed well--mostly just the same set of tracks on all the levels, with a little tweaking to make them SEEM different.
*The English accented commentator is a bit rude at times and he tends to grate on your nerves a bit after a short time.
There are several other complaints, but bassically, I am very dissappointed with this game.
pong was more fun

When you see the intro scenes for Rallisport you think "Wow! This is going to be great!" Unfortunately, that's about as fun as it gets. Sure the graphics are awesome and the number of car and driver options are titilating, but the fun quickly runs out. I rented this game for the weekend, and definately would not buy it.
I found the cars difficults to control, and even with hours of practice there were some tracks that I could never win on, even on the least difficult setting. In early career mode, most of the more interesting races, tracts, and cars are locked out. Until you achieve enough points you cannot get access to these advanced options. By the time you get enough points to get there, you no longer care.
Definately failed to keep me interest.

Definately rent this one first. I borrowed it, played it for a day and then gave it back. It's not that it isn't good...because it is. I found it to be a lot of fun, but it's one of those games that you have fun with for about 4-5 hours and then don't want to play anymore. I raced all the tracks, tried as many cars as I could...and that was it. I didn't feel the need to play it much more. Maybe it's because the tracks aren't all that interesting? Maybe it's just because I like more of the "smash 'em up demolition derby" style racing? I don't know. If you LOVE rallisport, then you will love this game. It is by far the best of this genre on any platform. But like I said, it's best to rent this one first to see if you like it.

This game does one thing well. You fly down beautifully rendered roads at very high speeds and having to listen to your copilot in order to know what's coming. The terrain looks simply incredible - almost photorealistic at times.
I've been playing the game for a day now, and the thrill has started to wear off already. The terrain looks incredible, but it is not varied enough - the game engine seems effective only for grass, trees, and road. The buildings, fences, rocks, fans, etc. don't come across well at all. The levels get monotonous very quickly. I was frankly shocked by how bad the cars look.
The best part (and premise) of the game is flying down these roads having to rely on your copilot. Just like real rally driving, it is truly intense and takes a lot of concentration. But once you've learned the courses it's not like rally driving anymore, so the best part of the game is done with! I would have like to see something that could generate new courses so that you couldn't get to know them. Yes I know it's a lot of work putting these courses together, but they could have at least strung together prebuilt sections. They could have at least done more courses.
Multiplayer - no map? Or could I not figure out how to get one. Since the navigator is turned off the players need to know the courses.
The sound is passable. The music is completely, inexcusably lame TB-303 stuff. I didn't realize the 303 was dead until I heard this game. Luckily it's mixed way back.
The camera angles don't zoom out very far. I would have liked to have seen different cockpits for different cars, but there isn't really a cockpit view at all.
Playing against the computer: The opponents AI doesn't seem to respond to your driving - they seem to robotically follow a predetermined path. In fact the opponents ram you from the side right off the starting line!
The game is the stodgyness of a simulation, but not the realism. You're not on rails, but you can't stray from the main path. There's no room for exploration here. There doesn't seem to be anything hidden. On the other hand, the physics don't seem very realistic - there's very little understeer. Furthermore, there is nothing like "kudos" to reward you for good driving. There's no penalty for cutting a corner.
This game could have been great if they had had time to properly flesh it out. I'll probably be playing more Gotham a week from now.

This game is pretty good, I was really disapointed on the restrictions when driving off of the paths. Instead of the car just running into an imaginary boundry, the car just disapeers, and get placed back on the track. The graphics are amazing, the physics are pretty good.. gameplay is fun, audio fx are pretty good as well. Over all, I havent been playing it as much as project gothem Racing, but Its still cool..Z

This game is pretty cool, and if you are a fan of the Rallisport series, you will not be disappointed. The game does not take advantage of xbox's awesome power, but it is very enjoyable.
