RSC is a great combination of being a simulation style game with all the fun of a great arcade racer. The cars, environments, AI are all spectacular, and the overall layout and design of the game (i.e., the career modes, the menus, etc.) are also excellent compliments. This game is outstanding - super fun and hard to put down. By combining super-fast cars with meticulously detailed outdoor areas, RSC is without a doubt the most fun you'll have behind the wheel of an xbox game.

great race game but Project Gotham is still better

Anyone who has an XBOX and like racing games should get this game. However, you should know that Rallisport has nice graphics but only 4 tile-sets, so the graphics repeat alot. You will feel you are racing the same courses even when they are supposed to be different courses. The controls handle really well, which is ultimately why the game is worth getting. If you like track variety, you may want to look at Project Gotham Racing instead of Rallisport.

I'm currently renting this game and it is a lot of fun. There are a whole lot of tracks to race on and a lot of cars to choose from. It does tend to get a little boring after a couple of hours in the career mode; however, it is a good game to buy because you'll always have a good itch to play a rad racing game. I plan on purchasing this game for my quiver of games.

While not a perfect game the gameplay in Rallisport challenge is far and away the best available on any game system now for pure racing.

This game challenges you on dozens of tracks throughout the life of the game which eliminates any chances you have of mastering them all. Consequently, the replay value of this game is very high.

Additionally, this game, unlike many others, doesn't reward you for the sake of rewarding you. You actually have to earn all of the rewards, whether extra cars (a lot of them) or extra tracks (also a lot of them).

The only things that hold this game back from being a 5 are the lack of customization you can do to the cars and the music which plays in a seemingly endless short loop. Mercifully you can burn your own with the Xbox.

Excellent gameplay but somewhat short.The game graphics are amazing and very detailed.The car handling and physics may be a little forgiving at times but overall its good rallying fun.The only real shortcoming of this game is the career mode which,is a little short.Also,it doesn't offer the amount of in-depth customiation found in other rally games.Not a ralli simulation but offers excellent fun nonetheless.

Great graphics, sounds and controls but the physics could be much better. The way the cars respond is not realistic even through ive never driven rally i can tell. The level graphics are the best of any game ever racing or other type of game. Fast gameplay will keep you invloved for hours and it is exciting every time you slide seemingly out of control into a tight hairpin turn. This game is a great buy.

Microsoft Game Studios scored a hit with their follow-up racing game to Project Gotham Racing. Digital Illusions does developing duties for this very fun and challenging racing sim. Rallisport Challenge doesn't have the ultra-attention to after-market modifications as the PS2's Gran Turismo series but what it does have is a very realistic and accurate simulation of the sport of rally racing.

The look of the game, from the many different models of rally cars to the crowds lining the race course all the way to the environment themselves are beautifully done. The controls for the game are not to simple, but not overly complicated as other racing sims. The racing itself is very fun and does a great job in conveying the wreckless abandonment required to race in the off-road type racing courses of the rally car circuit.

Overall, Rallisport Challenge is a welcome addition to the racing sim genre. Street racing, NASCAR, and other types of racing circuits have been done, but this nice gem for Microsoft Game Studios marks the first time an entire racing sim game has been dedicated to the rally car circuit.

The Best X Box Racer.

This is with out any doubt the finest racing offering on the
X Box to date. With slick graphics, and spot on control you will be zipping around the courses in no time. The AI is such that you will be able to compete in the early matches with little driving practice on your part. However the later rallys will require some precise skill, and car modifications in order to advance on and unlock the Group B cars. The sound is fitting for the game. Each car has their own distinct sound, and the ambience sound fits everything nicely together. If your a fan of Ralli driving games, or even if you are not you owe it to yourself to check this title out. However, for those of you who are thinking this is a Gran Turismo 3 killer.... WAKE UP!!!! Its Not!!! GT3 is still the pinnicle of racing games PERIOD!!

I would say the only thing this game has going for itself is the graphics, and that can only last a few hours before it starts wearing off. The replayability of this game is very limited, it's a good thing I only rented this game instead of forking over [money]. Control schemes are limited unless you happen to like one of the 3 default controller setups it has. Also it's not very flexible with driving wheels.

The engine sounds are very muffled. The navigator's voice is hard to understand, sometimes he jumps ahead a few turns, other times he calls out the turns RIGHT before you reach them.

The car-physics is barely there. You can see the car from the outside swaying as it turns, but when driving in the car, the car turns way too fast, even on gravel. Sometimes I got the feeling they sped up the game's time to make everything SEEM faster.

It's about time that games are judged not just by its graphics.
