...

This is a great game! a little on the short side, so if you are the type that doesn't replay games it is a rental. I bought it and am not disappointed. It is fun to play, and for those of us who have a life outside of video games, you can pick it up and put it down.
People are complaining about the savepoints and camera. Savepoints are never more than 10 to 20 minutes apart, unless you are totally lame. The camera is a little goofy sometimes but this is rare. Anyone familiar with the 3rd person genre well find it well done.
... Seriously, any gamer should pick catch on in less than 10 minutes.

I highly recommend checking this game out.

Be Kind. Rewind. Or Else Monsters WILL Eat Your Brains.

Okay. This game was pretty good. In fact, as far as the game itself went, it was quite possibly the best put together game ever. Not the best created mind you. But the only thing stopping it from being the best was the severe lack of rapping genies.

Okay, so the extra features were mediocre at best. But the game itself was terrific. It was beautiful and spiritual and had some sweet, sweet ninja-ness. However, this game is not for those of us who give up after two seconds of video gaming. As the famous Jewish philosopher Curly Howard once said, "This is confusing."

Mind boggling puzzles, initially difficult fighting and references to "Rushtar" may prove daunting, but don't give up. The game grows on you, literally! For example, after you figure out how to work the combat system, it becomes real fun to manipulate the space/time continuum with the Dagger of Despair (or whatever it's called).

As I stated earlier, the extra features are not so hot. The documentaries are fun enough, but the originally Prince of Persia is pretty stupid. Once you get past the silent-movie-era sounding music, the game pretty much revolves around falling down holes and screaming.

However, the game is worth it. It is fun in a Ninja Gaiden-ish way. In fact, this game is like Ninja Gaiden junior. So, until they make a game with a rapping genie, this will have to do.

WOW!! It's That Good

Bottom line -- buy this game.
Even if the gameplay sucked (actually it's incredible) this game would be worth buying just for the stunning and I mean STUNNING environments. The rooms are all incredibly beautiful. And I mean gorgeous like I would want to take a vacation in them or see them in a musuem. The attention to detail is stunning. FOr example the walls have intricate guildings that are unique from room to room, and the ceilings in some rooms have painted murals on them. The whole game is incredibly eye-catching and you want to keep playing more just to see new rooms.

Something other reviewers have neglected to mention somewhat is the story. The plot advances well in the gameplay and as a result of the gameplay without having to resort excessively to cut scenes to explain what is happening.

The game play is brilliant. They mix puzzles and fighting very well. The puzzles are interesting (a lot of them are interesting movement puzzles). They are supremely well designed and progress very very well. At no point in the game did I hit a frustration barrier with puzzles but I was always challanged and didn't feel like puzzles were repetitive or too easy.

The fighting a lot of people have commented on as a negative. I think the fighting system is a lot of fun. Firstly, the prince moves from one move to the next very seemlessly. The animation throughout the game is really incredible, but it really shows its strength in the fighting system. Secondly, the fighting really manages to comine acrobatic movement with fighting. The fight scenes can come across as really well choreographed scenes even though they occurr spontaneously.

I think the complaints other reviewers have registered about fighting stem from two issues. First, this is not a fighting game and you shouldn't approach it as a hack your way through a million bad guys (its a puzzles game and the fights are wonderful puzzles that mix movement and action). Secondly, the game has only a moderate learning curve for fighting. The hardest fight for me was early in the game and this was frustrating, but once I beat this fight I learned the fight system and subsequent fights became easier. It is worth it to stick through the early parts.

Finally the game integrates everything so so well. THe story advances well with action. THe animation is the best I have ever seen in a game and the prince's range of motion is stupendous. The music interacts well with the game, and the puzzles and action are amazing.

I have not been able to tear myself away from this game, and neither will you. BUY IT!!!

This game is so cool. The graphics are average for a Xbox game. This game is pretty easy to beat. I havn't found a single glitch. I said this game is so fun for a few reasons: First reason, your charictor the prince can do the coolest fighting moves like like vaulting over a enemy and the stabbing it in the back, reason two, the Prince is a expert acrobat resaulting in being able to run acros walls, and other cool stunts. Reason three, It has a really awsome storyline. I really recomend this game, expecially if you like games like God of War.
