i absolutely love this game . it's not just a "hack and slash " game , in which all you do is just relentless action . no . this game does have enough action in it with all kinds of cool combat techniques, but there's more to it then that. it also platforming in it , as the prince is very acrobatic , and you can pull all kinds of cool acrobatic moves , like running on walls , swinging from poles , jumping at a wall and then charging off of it to attack an enemy , etc. the game also has a big amount of puzzels to solve , and that was a great thing . they needed some thinking , and there was a big variety. like , there was a puzzle in which there was a beam of light leading somewhere , and you have to redirect it using mirrors spread around the level, and eventually the beam will touch a certain spot which will open a door . also , the platforming is great. as i mentioned above , you will have alot of acrobatic moves and you will need to use them to get to different places. for example , in some levels , you had to press a switch(which would open a door temporarily) , jump up between some walls , pass some traps , swing from a pole to another platform and then roll under the door before it closes. that's what i liked about this game , there's a big variety of action , adventure ,puzzle solving and platforming. that's what's special about this game , it's not just mindless action .also the atmosphere is pretty good. so , if you want a great gaming experience , buy this game . the only thing i didn't like about this game was that there weren't many characters (although the storyline was good) and there weren't many unlockables, and also the replay value wasn't big. but the game was still a very good one , and i enjoyed it very much .

Not to sound like an idiot, but I have loved Prince of Persia since the beginning of the series. Prince of Persia 1 amazed me, Prince of Persia 2 seemed like it had to be the best game ever, and when Prince of Persia 3D cameout I couldn't wait!!
As it turned out 3D didn't really do much for the Prince franchise, but this game makes right everything that was (barely) made wrong with the prior attempt at 3d-izing Prince of Persia. If you're reading this review, you've probably already read 80 reviews that say this game is the game of the year, BUT THERE IS A REASON EVERYONE IS SAYING THAT!! This game is an amazing amount of fun, and was definitely worth the $50 I spent to buy it.
The Sands of Time feature is amazingly cool, and is probably the most exciting thing to add to gaming since bullett time in Max Payne. The Prince's swashbuckling kickass sword play is sooooo much more fun than shooting, punching, or jumping on (think Jak and Mario) your enemies!! All video games should have swords as mandatory weapons because they are such a better weapon (you all know how much cooler Pirates of the Caribbean was than the Matrix Revolutions and it's because of the swords!!).
My biggest complaint about this game is the health meter. The designers should have stuck with the typical life potion bottles that the Prince games have always had, but whatever, it's not really that big a deal.
I know this isn't the most descriptive review ever, but you've probably already read those in the gaming magazines. This review is simply to say from one gamer to another that this really is a fun and enjoyable game. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

This game became one of my first addictions. I was hooked on this game, the voice acting..the excellent scenary..the storyline. Everything just fit together exactly how it should of. I was a little frustrated that the boss fight was pretty easy..The whole game makes up for that though, this is a must buy for any xbox owner
Great game, but easy and hard!

This game has a lot of really good concepts and is really fun for the first half hour. After that the fighting tends to get anoying and the puzzels are the same over and over.

This is by far the most visually stunning game I have ever seen. The action and acrobatic sequences are fantastic and every detail has been thought of.
boring

The story itself is great, but that and the best graphics out there didn't save this game for me. if you like doing the SAME thing over and over again, perhaps a career in mail sorting is in order.
this game's fight engine is sooooo boring. I don't need to fight a bunch of the same monsters over and over again just to get to the next save. it is soooo d*mn repetitive. i kept flashing back to donkey kong and spyhunter. This genre is surely dead.
