Great game - sketchy port

GTA3 and GTA:VC are old news these days, and you've probably heard everything you need to hear about the gameplay and the overall idea of the game. I just want to add that - as a gamer who has beaten both the PS2 and xbox versions of both games - the quality of the port to xbox is a little off. You can walk through some walls or get 'stuck' in places here and there. Not what I'd expect from Rockstar, especially since the PS2 versions of both games are relatively free of those kinds of issues.

Otherwise, a great game for adults that's only just now beginning to show its age. Though I'll bet that once Halo2 arrives it will look positively archaic.

...and remember kids, cell phones kill.

The best reason to purchase this double package: You can add customizable soundtracks to the list (too bad PS2 users), thanks to the Xbox's hard drive! I can't wait to hear the music of "Squarepusher" with this game!! It'll be a riot indeed!

THE XBOX VERSION OF GTA 3 AND VICE CITY IS OVERALL BETTER. THE GRAPHICS ARE 100000 TIMES BETTER THAN THE PS2 VERSION. THE XBOX VERSION MOVES MUCH FASTER THAN THE PS2 AND THE WALLS THAT KEEP ON APPEARING IN FRONT OF YOU ALL OF A SUDDEN ARE ALSO GONE. THE ROADS NO LONGER TURN TO WATER ANYMORE AND IT EVEN SOUNDS EXTREMLY BETTER. THIS GAME ROCKS!

I used to own a PS2. On PS2 I owned both Grand Theft Autos, and I loved them. Then I sold my PS2 for money reasons and later a friend bought me an XBOX. I new right away I HAD TO HAVE THE DOUBLE PACK! To imagine these two spectacular, ground-breaking games in one package is heart-stopping. The gameplay is outstanding and you never get bored, lose interest, or run out of things to do. GTA Vice City is a lot different than GTA3. The cars move faster, you can buy property and make money off of the businesses you buy, you can use motorcycles and helicopters, and you it's A LOT SHORTER than GTA3. GTA3 takes a long, long time to beat, which is a good thing. I love every bit of these games and I truly believe that GTA3 is the best game ever made. If you do not own this Double Pack yet, please stop waiting and buy it ASAP. It's a game that will last a lifetime. (it is very, very graphically violent, filled with language, you can get prostitutes into your car and drive behind a tree and have them perform certain acts on you, and in GTA: VC you can go into a strip club and have basically nude girls give you a private dance. What I'm saying is: THIS IS NOT FOR KIDS!)

An intoxicating blend of script and open-ended action tied to outrageous, amoral violence and sex. What a waste of money, time and talent. The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychological Association and other groups have already signed a joint statement of concern, saying in part that research strongly suggests that "prolonged viewing of media violence can lead to emotional desensitization toward violence in real life." Parents - get a clue. If you care about your kids this game should not be purchased. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

I have to say that it is about time it came out for X-Box. What an incredible game. Although the graphics are only a 7 out of 10 but the game play is 10 out of 10. I played this on DreamCast many years ago (GTA2) and though it was a great concept but not all that great to play. This is probably the best set of games for the X-Box that I have ever played. Well worth the purchase

Welcome to Grand Theft Auto.I am a long time loyal fan of the GTA (grand theft auto) series, and from my experiences with the game(s) on both consoles there is a difference. The new GTA Double Pack has many good new features than on PS2.Here are a few. The graphics have been way WAY upgraded from the PS2 version. There has been more of a texture added to the game along with shiner colors and a nicer over all polish. I reviewed GTA Vice City for PS2 and I said that this game is for anyone who is mature enough not to play a game then go out and do what they saw in the game. This same rule applies to the double pack. They didn't add more blood or anything more violent. Everything is the same except its 2 games for the price of 1, and its graphics have been polished to look BEAUTIFUL. Thats all I have to say about this wonderful game.

P.S. Watch the sunrise on the beach of the first half of Vice City that you have access to. It's AWESOME with the graphics upgrade!

The reason Grand Theft Auto is so fun is that you're not the hero of the world going on a set path. You're a guy in a city and you just run around doing things at you're will. You better buy this one. And while you're playing it you will buy a taxi company, own a house, stop a gang of criminals, become a pizza delivery boy, fly to france and do stuff there, drive a boat,helicopter,motorcycle,plane and lots of cars. The game is rated M for Cussing,violence,blood and the blood is optional (on/off) Xbox owners who have not played the game or are looking to play it again. The Xbox versions are the best avalable (as always)

First of all, this is of course a game of its time. No person with an X Box should be with out it.

Now, to get the Mature rating and those parents who are "protesting" this game. THIS GAME IS NO WORSE THAN A PG-13 MOVIE!!!!!! Let me explain:
1)If you look on the back, it says rated M for strong language... You are lieing to yourself if you think a PG-13 movie has none of those sware words in it.
2) Next, it receives an M rating because of its strong violence, which I won't lie to you, is strong. However, the violence is more cartoonish than realistic and I know for a fact that there are more gruesome images to be seen in PG-13 movies. Now, for those of you feminists out there: You are most likely concerned with the partial nudity, notorious hookers, and so called "degrading" manner the game has towards women. (note degrading is in quotes because it's not true!)

There ARE girls in bikinis in this game... Grand Theft Auto is no worse than a PG-13 movie!!!!! And many of you will be saying, "Well yes, but the difference lies in the fact that you are not watching GTA but instead playing it!!" And to this I leave you with:

You all know your own childeren better than anyone. If they are constantly violent and getting in trouble, you're right, they don't deserve this game. But for those of you with good, normal kids, I think they can handle it.

This game will have you hooked. Not having a PS2 or a $1000+ gaming PC, i waited for this title to hit Xbox. and the wait was well worth it. everyone mentions the better graphics than PS2, but fails to mention that the draw-area has been expanded... meaning if your driving down the wrong side of the road at top speed, a truck won't suddenly pop up in front of you (like i noticed happen on a friend's PS2), it'll be drawn a long way down the road.

The Graphics are excellent considering it's on a console and you have these huge cities sitting in memory. Did i mention the load time is FAR less than that of PS2 as well?

Basically, if you have an Xbox, this is the version to get.
