This game is the best TACTICAL, SQUAD-BASED game I have ever played. If you are looking for a free for all shooter, this isnt it. In this game, you must rely on both teams (some missions uses 3 teams) to get anywhere, and takes some thought and planning. The only negative is that you cant actually pull the trigger, but after playing it, it is still a 5 star game.

OK I am tried of people that have just read about the game saying, oh oh I hate this cuz the magazine said I can't shoot! Well you know what you can!!!!, but you just don't aim the gun. Wooooo I believe everything I read please don't buy the game!! SYCK!!!!!! Buy this game and find out if you will truly like it, and the multiplayer is SAWEEEETTTT!!!!

This game was not originally based around fun. It was origionally supposed to be a training program for REAL soldiers to simulate war. however they decided to make it into a public video game, so they gave it a name and took SOME of the realism away to give it a bit of a fun aspect so people would play it.

Anyways, the point is that it was not made for completely fun aspects.

Well I have just received this game and as usual I have to play it straight away, my poor wife suffers, she has our 3 month old baby in her arms, she does not mind but I still feel sorry for her as I am an addict ! I have played all the CLancy games to death and obviously the learning curve on FSW is steep as it is just totally different. I still enjoy the game as I usd to play a lot of wargames so I dont miss the shooting that much !! The only problem I have found so far is the control of the position grid for the squad, I seem to find it hard to put into position in confined spaces, sometimes having to move my squad out ino the open to get them to the position I want but I think I will get around this in time.From what I have seen so far though the game is great, its just going to take a bit off time to get used to the buttons so I dont have to think what to press when things hot up, this is not a game for those who love to shoot, just think tactics and where is your next cover, well thats it from me, only 7 hours to go then I can finish work and return to KZ

I really like this game. It's obvious that Pandemic was working in very close conjunction with the U.S. Armed Forces. My only problem I had with this game was after 3-4 hours of play the game began to get that not so fresh feeling.Also, the cursing and insobordination of soilder's leaves me to suggest this to 15 year olds and up(There is a lot of cursing I'm talking about the F--- word being used very flagrantly). As my title says, you must ,let me emphasize this ,MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YOU DO NOT SHOOT. now that that is out of the way you must know something else. This game emphasizes all the SF stand for "TACTICS BEAT FIREPOWER". So,in conclsion if you have no problem with a man shouting the "motherload" and the player not firing his gun, this game is going to make you happy. Get love it and never take it out of your 'box.

I don't remember when was the last time I've spent money on a game this lame!

Totally linear and predictable story, WAAAAY too many animations getting on the way of any gaming flow they could be going for, and a lame excuse for multi-play that absolutely SUCKS!

You will spend most of your time staring at the walls while the characters go rambling about what is supposely happening in the background. No way to bypass the scenes, so just seat back and relax...

For the first time in my life, I'll actually RETURN a game and try to take whatever money I can on a trade-in.

Presentation is ok. Deceiving in fact, because the game SEEMS great, until you have played for a couple of hours and start having that bad feling of having been dupped.

Graphics: 6.0
Again, waay too much time spent on graphics and no real effort on producing a challenging game.

Repetitive as hell. You will never want to hear "Bravo, listen Up! Move!" again in your life...

Have you guys EVER heard of AI??? The developer's apparently haven't... All BOTS behave always the same way.

None. I finished the game in a week, always hoping that the pace would pick up at some point.

This game is gonna be tight. The graphics are gorgeous and it's a squad based tactical game. Even though you don't actually get to pull the trigger on your weapons it sounds like Pandemic Studios and THQ are putting in work on making sure this game plays as well as it looks which is great. June 8th is the current release date, I believe, and I can't wait to be able to add this to my Xbox collection.

What do you expect???

I got this game after reading all the positive reviews and seeing a special about this game on G4TV. My intrest in this game lasted maybe 8 hours. After that I became fustrated and bored. The graphics are awesome and that is the best thing about this game. Other than that it doesn't take very long to complete or keep your intrest. There is the standard camera clipping that occurs. And the sound bites will drive you crazy. You will never again want to hear these guys talk.

Basically you have 2 squads of infantry. A team leader, a SAW guy, a Grenade launcer guy, and a rifleman guy. And you switch between the 2 and move them around trying to outflank your enemy. This isn't very hard or fun. And you can't control thier shooting other than to give them an area to target. (Exception being the M203 launcher.) Most of the game you will move your squads around pointlessly trying to get into postition against the 2 or 3 enemies you end up facing. Then you out flank them and you move to the next level.

I really wished I hadn't spent $50 on this game. Its worth a rental at least.

Solid, but moral issues and influx of war games

When my brother's friend came over with this game, I didn't feel that this was a game to like, as I am not really interested in American military tactics. I know that is very unique in it's originality and presentation. But I never really fell in love with this game, even with all the hype that it had received before it's release, I dont like this game. Maybe it has to do with my strong disagreement with the war in Iraq, maybe it has to do with the mass influx of military games coming out since 9/11. Maybe it's the way they show Arabs as nothing more than terrorists, Maybe something else, but if it had come out 3 years ago, then it would've been a smash it to me, but it came with real bad timing in the video game release spectrum.

Pros: 1. A very unique game in terms of play

2. Good voice acting

3. Frequent speech by soldiers (keeps you interested)

4. Free the peoples of Zekistan from the almighty clutch of dictator Mohammed Al-Afad

5. Solid Training mode (really helped me learn the aspects of the game)

Cons: 1. Xbox Live play is severly limited (just co-op. nothing else)

2. Soldiers always miss the Zekes when their upper body is just sticking out there, I mean, you can fire at him from 50 feet away and you'll still miss (no hits at all, zoom in and you'll see)

3. Play is mostly repetitive (have one team divert the terrorist while the other team snakes around him and fires at him)

4. I would've expected the Zekes to be more in groups instead of being just one or two Zekes per sector.

5. More swearing in this game than a South Park episode (well, maybe not a South Park episode, but there is a lot of swearing in this game)

6. Why do all terrorists have to be Arabic? Hasn't anyone heard of the Tamil separatists in Sri Lanka? or even the Northern Ireland secession in Ireland? Terrorists are not only Arabs, you see.

7. Reminds me of a similar kind of escapade in some country I know of.

8. Never really got into the story and it's purpose (there is a mass grave in Chapter 5, but I felt nothing when I saw it)

9. Just too many military games coming out (WWII games and Tom Clancy games, anyone?)

FINAL VERDICT: I most likely think different than most of you, but I am getting very suspicious of the many games coming out that have to deal with the US Army and World War II. I'm not saying i'm Anti-American or a rebel, but i'm just expressing my opinions in the way I want to. And if you disapprove of my review to the point of pure outrage, just ignore it and move onto the next review (go ahead, nothing's stopping you) Besides this, I'd consider FSW a buy due to it's originality and uniqueness in the vigeo game world.

First of all you can't shoot your gun (so far you can't anyway, i'm not sure about later in the game)! It's a army game for god sake! The only good thing about this game is the graphics, they're a real plus, but that won't change the rating. I bought this game thinking that you could shoot your gun and all that good stuff, but you can't! (...) This game also simulatets the army too much, a little real life stuff, but this is too much realistic stuff! I advise you to skip this game and buy a different game! So whatever you do, DON'T BUY THIS GAME! A big waste of 50 bucks!

You are really stupid if you buy or even think this is a good game!
