This game was very addictive. It would have been better if there were more missions other than that I would suggest buying this one.
It's not out yet, you shouldn't be reviewing this game!

Why are there five reviews for this game out when it hasn't even come out yet? Have you guys played the game? How can you rate it without having ever tried it? Sheesh!
Worth a rent, nothing more...

You hope there's more to the game than you initially encounter, but sadly there isn't. I completed the game in less than 6 hours of casual play and given the repetitive nature of the game, I see little need to go back and take care of any unfinished business.
The concept of the game is novel, but the functionality is so limited as to make you wonder when things will really start to open up. They never do. As a fan of Counter Strike I had hoped that one day a game would merge true military tactics with a FPS. This game isn't it.
There is a tremondous amount of potential in this game when you think of the possibilities of including specific aiming functions, but it's only potential.

The woman / college girl who's probably sleeping with her professor is a total uninformed fool.
This game is based solely on tactics and real life situations. Being the game used to TRAIN MILLITARY SOLDIERS, it has to be used for real life events. And currently, the middle east waging open war on all "infidels" happen to be that. Possibly the best part of this game, happens not to be the aspect of not being a "Serious Sam" or a "Painkiller" (both good games) but the way your troupe huddles around you when you're stopped to treat an injured soldier, ONE OF YOUR OWN, and how you have to lay surpressing fire for that soldier to live and be brought back to a safe zone.
Another fascinating part about this happens to be the urban warfare. Again to Saraa, if we were fighting the turks, the chekz, or the Chineese (which i never hope we do because they make some **** good food) we would be modeling enviroments after those urban zones for, again, reality training. The details are rich and far better than anything you could find in Kill.Switch.
Again, this was a beautifully made game and focuses primarilly on team work, something if you play RB Raven Sheild online, most gamers are severely lacking.
Awesome GAME!!

I just got FSW today from Hays Hastings. I reserved my copy today and picked it up today. This game has spectacular graphics and even better gameplay! I get pinned down a lot, but that's where you use both Alpha and Bravo teams together to flank the enemey. I kill about five baddies for every time I get one of my guys shot up. It is kinda tough and quite addicting. I'd buy this again in a New York SECOND!! I highly recommend this game.
Now, it is true that you yourself cannot shoot the guns. You control your team's movements and they'll automatically and accurately, I might add, start firing back. I can actually get a bad guy to concentrate on one team, then my other team will sneak up on him and shoot him. So stealth is a possibility in this game, but is difficult to accomplish.
The controls are slicker than snot, but since there are dozens of different commands to order out, it does take some practice. But that's where you go to the manual for easy access.
You start the game off in training. You cover everything from throwing grenades, moving, tactics, and shooting. Then you move off into the actual game. The training takes about an hour to an hour and a half, but you can take as long as you want.
I finally figured out WHY the game does not allow you to take control of vehicles. This game is a simulator for the Army's infantry. The infantry does not use vehicles in their task forces. DUH!

This game was like nothing I have ever played before. It was refreshing not to play a war based game that was not a button smasher shooter.
This game requires intelligent thought as you plan your way through the streets of urban warfare.
The two teams work well together as they cover for each other at every step. The AI is also good because the bad guys will react to each of your teams the closer you get to them.
Overall, the graphics on this game look very comparable to PC games. The shots of the sky contest to that.
I hope you check it out. The only thing I did not like was the limited linear missions but I just found a cheat code to try the much more difficult ARMY based version that was included in the game.
Pay for one, get two games. That is cool
pretty good

I rented this game and i thought it was cool. it was realistic in terms of if you get shot your dead. there wasnt much about this game i didnt like. this game is more like command and concour. you dont control one man you control 8 men on 2 teams. its fun and it took me a few days to beat it and took alot of stratigy. i think you will like it.

The Concept is great and the graphics are outstanding. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Calling it a training game does not make up for it's lack of playability and fluidity. It's still a video game. We don't pay $49.95 for a training demo, we get it free. FSW was "based" on parts of training aids from the Army. It is not, however, endorsed or sponsored by the Army (says so on the back of the box).
Like many who reviewed this game, I'm also in the military, and I love a good bone cruncher. The key here is entertainment. I spent my first hour of play trying to line up little yellow circles to the corners of buildings. I saw only two tangos. One firefight lasted nearly 10 minutes. Problem was, the tango was out in the open, Alpha was on suppression and bravo was on point fire. Time for some BCG's men.
I think FSW would have been a much better game had the designers taken a few pages from the playability of games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, or Soldier of Fortune, and then added the concept and graphics.
a genre challenging game

I have been through the mout course at FLW, and this game is right-on in terms of the commands, fire team formations, weapons and laying down fire. Its a fun game. OF COURSE its not the real thing, but it's as close as a video game will get, and there are a lot of lessons built into it- for example, in other games like rainbow six 3, if a few of your buddies get injured or killed you can still succeed in the mission, but in this game there is zero tolerance for leaving someone behind. To get through the game you need to have caution, patience and quick thinking under fire.
Good but not great

Don't get me wrong, I think full spectrum warrior is a good game but it could be a lot better. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay makes you feel like your actually there.
There were only a few things in this game that I didn't like. First of all you can only command your troops to to fire upon an enemy. You don't actually get to pull the trigger, which is kind of a bummer. Moving troops is also a command so you don't get to move troops on your own, but most of the games in this genre are the same way with the movments. Anyways the only other thing in this game that is frustrating is that all the missions feel the same. You are always in the same environment so it can get boring at times. Also all the missions don't seem to have enough enemies so there is a lot more running around the map than actual shooting.
If you love games like Rainbow Six, Socom or Ghost Recon I would recommend buying this. If you haven't played any of these games, try renting them first to see if you like this style game because Full Spectrum Warrior it is more of a simulation rather that a third person shooter.
