Well this game is something i did not think it was. BUT GUESS WHAT it is even better. This game cannot be compared to halo half-life whatever. It is like squad controll kind of thing. you tell your teams to do stuff. Easy to pick up controls that seem very complicated but you learn to mix and combo them in lots of different ways. plenty of tactics can be applied alos it has good ai the game overall feels like your there because of its details and graphics. Very realistic and thought out i actualy had that green of satisfaction each time i managed to take out a ton of enemysso pleasing i swear!!!
I cant tell you about coop cause i got not xbox live but it is still fun. There are some things imperfect because there are so many things to push you might make a wrong button push but its still cool. And i realy hate that this is IRAQ i am sort of tired of that theme but hay it dosenot make the game bad in any way.
Buy and enjopy its fun for all patient and impatient players. (...)
Think first, then think again, then shoot.........

I won't bore you with repeating whats already available in these reviews, which pretty much cover the entire game, but add the following:
1. Realism: the quality of the graphics, voices, music and sound effects of battle (particularly with the vibro controller) are excellent, and the fact that you largely control the pace of the action makes this game very, very tense at times. With RPGs going off at close range in a sandstorm, the realism at times can be disorientating - brill! But Ive had my team firing full tilt at an enemy 15 feet away without cover and missing! whats going on there? On the other hand, a slightly off-target aimed M204 grenade at an armoured vehicle will be a wasted shot, and any gung-ho charges out of cover will very likely result in your bloodshed.
2. Pace: mostly fast paced if you let it, but the fact that there is not an enemy around every corner just adds to the realism and tension as you move from cover point to cover point along the streets and alleys.
3. Gameplay: the game has some annoying flaws, like the movement cursor occasionally sticks mid-route between cover points, making you start the move sequence again - particularly annoying when under fire and your other team are wasting their ammo on suppression fire to cover your move. But these are soon forgotten as you sit crouched behind a car with your cover being degraded by heavy fire and you have to work out how to flank your attacker. Make no mistake - this is a thinking mans war game not a shoot em up. Sometimes it makes more sense to go around than through the enemy.
This game is definitely for you if you fancy tasting the grit and tension of real battle with the chance to think your team's way through the trouble.
very entertaining

As a former infantryman I saw lots of realism in this game. However, most of the time you are not given many options for attacking the enemy
8 guys spraying bullets (AKA who forgot the scope?)

I can't believe 8 guys in the field would be pinned down by one elevated machine gun nest because the guy couldn't be taken out with a single bullet to the head from distance. Instead this game would have you use a M203 grenade launcher. Seems a bit overkill, but it's all they give you for an aimed shot. The rest is all your guys spraying bullets at protected targets that can't be hit anyway. So you can flank (using smoke grenades or suppression fire as cover) or just lob a grenade. Which is the choice most of the time. You also can't lob grenades into an elevated position. So what do you do if you're out of options? Throw about 5 smoke grenades and sneak by. Somehow I don't think 8 actual soldiers are walking right past a machine gun nest because of a few smoke grenades. The game gets repetitive fast and is very limited to specific usages of weapons. There is no intelligent "every shot counts" mentality here. It's shoot until you're out of ammo, doesn't matter if you still can't hit the guy in like 300 rounds.
You dont do jack in this game..

I think Full Spectrum Warrior is the worst game out there... You dont do any thing you dont shot you dont run you do nothing! The only thing you are doing is moveing two teams around. You see no action. While there shooting I go out outside to get the mail and when I come back I can move the teams again. You may get this game but I wont

I first saw a preview of this game in Xbox magazine in Mrach or so. They just thought the game looked great (which it does). I saw the screens for the game and all I can say is WOW!!! I know a lot of people will e discouraged by not being able to fire directly, but I think that idea to just control will make it extremely fun. The only thing I am worried about is how it will work out online. LOOKS GREAT!
It's different, but cool!

Ok, this game was a huge dissapointment in the game play for me. The idea of being in control of 2 teams (eight guys) was just silly. They should have made this a first person shooter all the way, hands down!
The graphics were great , the music was good to, the sound effects were well done, the interaction was ok. If only the soldiers would stop repeating the same lines over and over and over......geez.
But come on...there was all this hype about how cool this game was gonna be, how it was used to train our troops in urban combat, and this is what the consumer gets? It turned out to be a real let down. They should have you driving a Hummer, or a tank in the next one, cuz they sure didn't in this one. Rent it before you buy it!

GREAT GRAPHICS...good audio and an battle environment that is current and related to today's conflicts. This game is a rip! The profanity may concern some parents of younger kids but after all the game is rated for mature players. It's not a first person shooter which really is not that big of a deal - with all the dozens of those on the market. I've had the game for two days now and in between my other committments, I can't put it down. Guaranteed not to disappoint and well worth the money.
a cool game
