Old School, but still fun. Have the Wii and wanted to try this before buying the 50 dollar Wii version. Definitely going to get the new one now!

The second game is much better and has better games but this is still a fun party game if you don't have the second one.

Great Golf! Stay away from the "Bowling"

The actual game is fairly good. The multi-player are a mixed bag. The Bowling is just about the worst thing I've ever seen. It got my neighbor's little girl so upset we had to make her promise not to attempt it.

The golf, on the other hand, is amazingly good. As good as Mario!

Fun minigames, but infuriating main game is required to unlock them

This game came highly recommended to me and got good reviews, but I have to say that this is one of the most infuriating games I've ever played. Yes, 2 of the 3 mini-games that are initially unlocked are fun, but to get the other 3 mini games you have to play the main game, and the main game is infuriatingly not fun. Actually, the first 5 or 6 levels or so are pretty fun, but then it rapidly, and painfully, gets difficult. It's a lot like Marble Madness, except for the fun part. A key difference between the way Marble Madness worked and the way this works is that in Marble Madness, if you fell off an edge you lost time, but were placed roughly back where you were before you fell off. In Super Monkey Ball, if you fall off you have to start the level entirely over again. Combine that with levels involving balance beam precision and what you end up with just isn't fun.

I made it through the easy levels, but decided I'd had enough only a short way into the medium difficulty levels. An hour into it and I was only less than halfway to unlocking one mini game. It's just not worth it. My advice would be to only buy this game if you have an Action Replay to unlock all the mini games right away, or if you have friends/family who have a save with all the mini games unlocked that you can copy to your memory card. The mini games are fun, and SMB should have been entirely mini games.

You kids this is a top 3 game cube game in our household! I love Monkey Fight! I am a super sonic gamer. I like about everything I play! Buy it I know this is the right game for you! I got it this Christmas. Rent it before you buy it to make sure you like it. Post a review if you have it. SEGA rocks with Sonic,& Super Monkey Ball. Buy it Buy it Buy it Buy it Buy it!!!!!

I THINK THIS SUPER MONKEY BALL IS ONE OF THE MOST STUPID GAMES IN THE HISTORY OF STUPID GAMES! ALTHOUGH I LIKE SOME OF IT! ON THE EXPERT LEVELS SOME OF THEM ARE SO HARD AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU GET THROUGH THEM! SEGA HAS GONE WILD HERE! I THINK SEGA SHOULD SEE THIS REVIEW AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING BETTER! THE SECOND MONKEYBALL IS A WHOLE LOT BETTER! ON THE MINI GAME MONKEY BILLIARDS IS KINDA BORING BECAUSE IT'S ONLY 9 BALL! IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A GAME LIKE THIS I HAVE THE PERFECT SOLUTION! We've all been looking for the great game that can be wonderous for all ages and super monkey ball certainly gave us what we really want... A game that has wonderful gameplay and amazing graphics. This game takes second in my game shelf (trailing super smash bros. melee. That game rules!). To start this party off I'll discuss the gameplay. Well all I can give to you my friend is that it is truly amazing. You can't get much better than it! The wide selection of mini/party games definately catch my eye. We (friends) play the mini/party games more than the main game and that main game you've got thier rocks!! The controls are very simple. Usually variating from mini game to mini game to main game. Now the graphics rival super mario sunshine and super smash bros. So I think you get the idea in that area. The colour selection is wonderful. It beats out many of the best games for ps2 and xbox. The bottom line is that you might as well buy the game. When you've had enough buy the sequel. I wouldn't reccomend buying adventure but you can buy the wii and get blitz (If you have the money). Well gotta run! hope you enjoyed the review.

Super Monkey Ball is ok

Super Monkey Ball might turn some people off because of the fact that you roll through level after level as a monkey living inside a ball. The object of the game requires you to roll around the levels, going from one place to the other. This can actually make you nauseous in the same way, for example, that the Minnesota Twins were beaten by the Oakland A's to advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Super Monkey Ball gets its fair share of complaints for containing too many rip-offs of standard platform games. It's true the game is very much like a 3D Donkey Kong or Kirby, but you shouldn't dismiss the game until you try it, at least. It will satisfy you, probably.

This game is great. You roll the monkey around in a ball and you hit targets.sounds easy? at first...then they split the levels up in pieces! that's the main game then in minigames they put racing,target and fight. fighting is really fun though you punch each other off the side of the floor and then when the timer reaches 0 who ever has the most points wins!!! and in race you race around tracks until you win.now the monkeytarget: you roll off a ramp and open your ball as wings the tricky part? you have to open the ball at the right time and close it or you lose!! that's about it.

the best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played this game at my cousins' house with no video game experience at all and I picked the game up really easily. My favorite character is Aiai. I love everthing about this game and I'm getting this game along with some other games for my Game Cube in a few days. Get this game now!!! Have fun!
