Having read a whole lot of reviews and putting money down for this game, it promises to be a good one. The new water jet design adds a new twist on the gameplay, and the game is really deep. its not like the old rescue peach, beat bowser games of the past. you must defeat many types of bosses, play extingusher for a while, and clean up the mess someone made who dressed up like you! its an easy pick up n' play game, like all the other ones, but this one they make all his special jumps and moves easier to perform. this game is the best game of all the game giants at E3, with the easy controls, depth of the game, and the larger levels (compared to previous mario games).

Super Mario Sunshine is the first Nintendo game that is so ahead of it's time. The graphics look so realistic just like the way you see your reflection in the water and the great lighting effects tha this game gives you. That is what makes it a very successful game. Mario does have some new attacks up his sleeve and that is what also makes it fun to play. This game does deserve 5 stars in my opinion. We can all live the adventure with him whe it releases on August 26, 2002.

I suppose i could say that i understand how some ppl really don't like this game because Mario is getting so old as a character. Nintendo should come up with newer better character and original games and such, but you know what, Nintendo wouldn't be the NINTENDO it is today if it weren't for Mario. Mario started it all for Nintendo so i find it absolutely wonderful that they haven't forgotten him even after so long.

Mario will forever be a classic character and i'm sure that Nintendo owes a lot to Mario too so they will continue to make games with him in it. I don't know about some other ppl, but i will certainly continue to play those games.

P.S.- MARIO SUNSHINE IS GREAT! ^.^

I think that Super Mario SunShine is going to be great.I have no real information about this game.I have had Mario64 it was great.Mario Shunshine is going to be great,I have reserved the game,if you have a NINTENDO GAMECUBE you must but this.THE END

This game is good for the most part. Massive 3-D levels with various tasks to complete in each level. Mario can spray enemies with his spray gun and he can also float using his super hover nossel. My only complaint would be minor control issues and quirky views.

Stay away from this game. . .

First off let me clear up one thing. I am not a cube hater. I own both a cube and a PS2, and I auctually prefer playing the cube. But that doesn't change anything for this game. It was the first game I purchased for the cube, and dissappointed I was. A few days later I bought Metroid Prime, which justified the expense of the cube by itself, but that's beside the point. This game is not a good game. If you are execting a sequel to Mari 64, look elseware. This game's only inprovement is in it's graphical capibilities. Everything is downhill from there. The gameplay is way down from what it was in 64. The soundtrack is typical Mario, for better or for worse. One of the most annoying things is the loss of action. Instead of being able to use a varity of attacks against an enemy you get to use this idiotic water nozzel called F.L.O.D. or somthing like that. There isno way to lock on to enemies, so count on waistinga lot of water( which serves as ammunition) as you try to shoot an enemy. This game sees an Action game be converted into an adventure game. This may be good fo some people, but there is a ton of Gamecube titles, especially Metroid Prime and the wind waker which I would much rather play. If you're an old Mari fan, check it out. Just know that they are making a sequel to 64, called 128 which will be out late this year. I do not recommend this game to anyone but a hige mario fan. Otherwise, there are many G/C titles much more worthwile.

This game is, quite frankly, lame.

Controls: 5/10 In theory, the controls sound great, but in practice, the camera screws you every way possible. I'd like more control for the camera and for the jumping.

Sound: 8/10 Not bad, little annoying, but still nice.

Game story: 6/10 Mediocre. The whole fighting quasi-pollution thing is interesting but lame. That and half the sprites you have to buy from the islanders....wtf is up with that?

Graphics: 9/10 Well done, especially the water!

Gameplay: 3/10 The crappy camera screws up most of your attempts to move. Also, I'm not a fan of the "Secret of the ...." levels which are large, annoying puzzles. Some might enjoy that kind of gameplay, but keep it out of my mario game.
