Scares the frickin crap out of you! Still, one of the most fabulous games in history. This takes place before the whole RE series. Perfect graphics, superb interactive envirements, and as scary as hell, believe me. I'd definetly rent or buy this game, it's totally worth it. Even though there are flesh eating zombies, you'll love it. Brace yourself for a great game.
great game for the series

Any Resident Evil fan must have this game. The series alone is a GameCube system buyer for any true Resident Evil fan. The new partner character control is a nice addition to the series. I think this is what makes the game harder than the remake of RE1. Controlling both characters and the absence of the chests makes RE0 the most strategic RE yet to play. The mini game is also a challenging addition.
A MUST-BUY

This game rocks. The first RE game I played was the cube REmake and it was great. This one is just as scary. The graphics and incredible sound will make your jaw literally drop. And when that zombie jumped out of the fridge on the train I also jumped. Some people are saying that the game is repetitive because you visit the same places in RE0 as you did in RE1. This is simply not true. Along with the train, the characters brave an Umbrella Training Facility, a new laboratory, a treatment plant, and even a church! One thing that lowered the scare factor was the absence of crimson heads, but those leech guys sure made up for it. Be sure you buy this Capcom masterpiece ASAP!
*Definitely play the game the first time without a players guide-it will be much more suspenseful
Still scary, still flawed

Resident Evil 0 is a title that's as pretty and atmospheric as ever. It's a game filled with scares. And it's also one sorely in need of an evolution in gameplay mechanics. We could forgive some of these issues in the RE remake because it was essentially an update to the classic game. On the other hand, RE0 is an all-new outing. So why does it have all of the old problems? The Facts -The next installment of the Resident Evil franchise -Exclusive to GameCube -Stars characters Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen in a prequel to the original game -Explore a zombie infested train and an Umbrella mansion and --solve the mystery of the T virus -Control Rebecca and Billy simultaneously, switch between the two at any time, trade items, weapons, and more -In-game puzzles require the characters to work together and on their own -New enemy characters, boss fights and more -Drop items at any point in the game If I was judging Resident Evil on controls alone, the game would score very poorly. There's just no excuse with superior control schemes like that used in Eternal Darkness readily available for inspiration. However, I shouldn't complain because the game play is far more superior than any game I've ever played. In conclusion, if you can live with the drawbacks -- the same ones as always -- you'll probably grow to like or even love the latest in the Resident Evil series. If you're unwilling to brave bad control and poorly executed puzzles in search of the next big scare, though, you might want to rent this game before you get on the train for good.
Awesome Prequel!

I must say since i am a RE fan, this one is highly impressive yet great! this tells how it all happen before the Mansion or the City.
A series of bizarre grisly murders take place somewhere in Raccoon City, STARS Bravo team member "Rebecca Chambers" investagates a Train somewhere in a forrest near the city and discover what's causing the murders, she is helped by a rougue criminal named " Billy" and both must survive on the Train and in a secret mansion ( which is not the mansion from the original or remake).
Excellent prequel that has tons of action, character switching mode, cool creatures including new zombies, and more suprises in store. A must own if you own a Gamecube and if your a Resident Evil fan.

RE ZERO is by far the shortest of the series and this is why I give it 4 Stars. Pass that this game is a welcome addition to the series.
Two things stand out on this game from the others. You have two characters that 90% of the game you play side by side, now some say it is difficult to get out of tight spaces or the computer character wastes ammo. I say blah! they are not playing to the games maximum abilities. The computer controlled character can be set to idle mode or attack mode. If there's a tough spot you just want to quickly run through then seperate the characters and run through the area one at a time.
The other major difference is kiss those item boxes good bye. You must leave items in rooms or carry them. Now it's not that big of a deal because your characters can swap items and each has 8 slots.
The game is beautiful, the monsters ferocious, and with the bonus game "Leech Hunter" you can unlock some serious fire power.
All I can say is buy this game and pleasant dreams.

After years wondering, we are finally going to see what happened before the mansion incident. When evil was born...
The story tells what happened to the Bravo Team member Rebecca Chambers, before the mansion incident (Which can be checked out in the Resident Evil game, for the GameCube, also). You better not know the rest. I'll let surprises for the game...
- Graphics: Woah! This game looks perfect, graphically. When you are in a train, the bottles move, the train shakes and everything looks JUST like in real life. It's probably AS perfect as any other game ever made, graphically.
- Sounds: The voice acting in this game is really good, really convincent... The music from the game are scary too. It will make you be afraid to walk though those scary places... Cool sounds.
- Fun: This is subjective. If you like to be scared, then I suppose you'll like this game. There are many nice enemies to defeat, some new monsters never seen in other Resident Evil games. I like to use the many guns who exist in this game and shot the monsters around. You should like it too. There is a great story behind, too...
- Educative: No, no... This is clearly a Mature game... Lots of blood, heads exploding and this kind of things. A very violent game. If you feel your kids can play it, then it's fine, but, if you are an adult, you should play it first, because there are lots of blood...
After all, the game is a great entertainment for the old Resident Evil fans (like me) and the new ones. A must-buy if you like this kind of game...
See if you can sleep then...
very very nice

The newest and first chapter of the Resident Evil horror. Resident Evil 0 takes place the day before Resident Evil 1. This game is everything you'd expect from a Resident Evil game and from Capcom. This game has an intresting new partner style game where you control two characters at one. The in-game graphics look the same as the ones in Resident Evil 1 remade, but the good cutscene graphics look like the graphics from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. No exageration. Get this game.

I bought a Gamecube for the Resident Evil titles and was dissapointed at the remake of the original from the playstation. Then I rented Resident Evil Zero and my faith was restored!!! The remake was hard and worse for a newcomer to the gener like me, but Zero has 3 difficulty settings! So I was actualy able to have some fun! The puzzles are a bit outdated I will say, but the feal and look kept my hands on the controler for the whole night! I beat it and loved every last second of it!
For a new comer this is what its all about!(Play this one at night for an added scare!)
AWESOMELY SCARY

Resident Evil Zero is by far the scariest game I have ever played. The horror aspects of this game make it one of the most fun games I have ever played. Here's the different aspects of the game rated by me...
Graphics-10- The graphics in this game are easily the best on the Gamecube system. Not even Metroid can surpass this. You can see shadows with great detail, sweat on the character's faces, and dust rising from your character stomping on the stairs. It makes the game much, much, more enjoyable.
Sound-10- The sound is really what makes this game's scary aspects work. It will always keep you wondering wahat is around the next corner, and you will shudder and turn the lights on!
Gameplay-9- The gameplay can be a little unstable at times, and the learning curve takes a while. Most of all, the zombies look terrific and the puzzles are challenging and deep.
Controls--10- There is a character switching method in which you can switch from character to character in a flash-- and you must work together with each other ot advance in the game. This is really clever!! The controls are smooth and easy to learn.
Overall- 9.9- NEVER PLAY THIS GAME IN THE DARK AT NIGHT! IT ABSOLUTELY FREAKED ME OUT!! An awesome game.
