When I met the Resident Evil Series, it was Code Veronica for the DC. It was amazing. I was hooked even before I had left the first area of the facility. It was a mood and a style of play that needs to be experienced.
Now comes RE Zero. For the first time you can actually have 2 usable, working charactors on the same screen, something no doubt that many players of the other games wondered about. This fact alone greatly increases the fun off the game...and the annoyance level. Nothing is worse than getting a player trapped in a room because he or she is being eaten on. It is difficult of not impossible to bypass tough enemies with both players at once. And oft times, the shotgun armed charactor will shoot a leech on the ground, wasting a precious shot unless watched.
These gripes aside, you will find that the possibilities of play with two charactors are endless or nearly so. Boss battles take on a whole new ideal thanks to the ability to quickly change perspectives. Puzzles are now even a little fresher due to the need to use both charactors.
But this is still RE, the game many love to hate. A friend of mine was watching me play and asked politely," how do you know theres a zombie on the screen? How do you know you are hitting him?" This is a common problem of the game. To fully build the ideal of a scary movie, most areas are broken into set scenes. This means that unless your in the same scene as the enemy, you'll be unable to see him. A normal experience for the vetran but a terrifying one for newbies.
Finally, there has been a lot of general marryment over the completion of the story. This is Zero, the first RE. But I felt things were just a little dis-jointed in comparison to the origional. By my thinking, Rebecca should have been leading Chris around the mansion after experienceing all she did. Just a few small things.
So buy it if you like RE, think carefully if you passingly like the idea, stay away if you prefer killing in first or 3rd person.

The game is absolutely beautiful and the graphics are the best yet in a video game. The Game got a ten everywhere in graphics except Gamespot but they said they favor Xbox so now I see why. The game is very fun with a friend but scary without one because the first time I played it alone I felt sick and got all tingly everywhere. I really don't reccomend this for a kid but thirteen and older you must get it. Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are the best games on Gamecube yet.
Graphics 10+
Gameplay 9
Game Sound 10
Tilt In Cameras 10+
Must own this game 10+++
I promise you will love it.

Resident Evil 0 takes gamers back to the beginning of the Resident Evil series with a nice base and development. The quick character switch is a positive touch adding to the creepy feel this series has become known for. The puzzle-solving zombie shooting doesn't really spark my interest, but if you're into a game of this sort I would highly recommend it. The graphics are good, the soundtrack is good, and the game play isn't too boring. However, the load wait time between rooms grows old very quickly.

Resident Evil 0 is one of my favorite video games for the nintendo gamecube. This game has the best graphics of all. There is so much detail in the environments and characters. The fire flickers from the wind and the bottles rock back and forth as the train moves. The environments and characters are smooth and look very realistic. The only complaint is the controls. Why doesn't Capcom perfect them?! Other than that the game is awesome. It's a perfect blend of action with horror. I love survival horror games. Just to let some of you know the point of a survival horror game is to give you suspense by leaving you with little ammo while you fight deadly enemies(though in this game there is much more ammo given than in other RE games). The point of a survival horror is not to give you tons of ammo so you can go out and shoot whatever the heck you feel like. That, my friend, is what Goldeneye 007 is all about. I love how you must conserve your ammo. It makes the game more innovative. Otherwise how friggin easy would it be if you had unlimited amounts of ammo scattered around the joint. It adds more strategy to the game. This game really keeps you thinking as you progress through and encounter new and more difficult obstacles. This game is a great reason to buy a nintendo gamecube. Great graphics and great fun! I'm gonna go play it right now! See ya!
Best one yet

This RE is, hands down, the best one yet. The lighting is fabulous, the graphics are jaw dropping. I mean come on, u can see individual rain drops falling and hear them as they splash on metal. As if that weren't enough, NO MORE ITEM BOXES! God bless whom ever thought of this and that ability to switch between partners and team up and split up is the best. If this hasn't convinced you to buy the game, let me just say this...I bought the Gamecube just so I could play these games and it was worth every penny.

Out Of all the Resident Evil saga, This one is the second best to both re4 and re3:Nemesis.This game was awesome, hard, easy, and scary all at the same time.Altough i have to say it was pretty short.I mean,it all revolved around the same building pretty much.Exect for the train. And the leech guys (aka Hunmanioid Leech,Leech Zombie)were frekin scary and hard to kill. The tyrant is scary the first time you fight him.I say buy this, but from gamestop. Its easier to get it there.TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!
an excellant RE game

oh i love this game i was first introduced to it by a friend and then recommended that i buy it. im so glad i did. the graphics are amazing but what could have made it better or more challenging for that matter is if like in the RE remake the zombies came back to life as crimson heads. this game and all the new Re countinue to blow me away with better graphics harder scenarios and even cooler monsters. this game is a must have for any Resident evil fan.

Instead of reviewing every aspect of the game or the controls, like many other people are doing, I am just going to review how scary this game is.
After just playing Resident Evil Outbreak and being let down, I decided to try this one out. It isn't scary in the least. There were some parts that seemed creepy, like those weird zombies that explode, but that is about it. There are some jump moments, but they are poorly done. I didn't jump because frankly I thought they were a little retarded. Certain zombies will pop out of places, and they will do it really fast, which is just stupid. How did that zombie just learn to move 8 million times faster? Then you get to meet those weird bug like creatures that are just plain stupid.
The game feels good for the most part, if you go into it expecting little to no scares. I just go in and kill mostly everything with my shotgun, which is fun. As for puzzles... Unlike Resident Evil 2, this one seems to be a little more straight-forward. If you pick up a key, expect to use that key very soon. If you find some sort of weird device, go use that immediately. The switching system is relatively flawless. The only gripe with that is, you can either choose to have your partner waste bullets, or hold their fire. For some reason, they love shooting crows and such. But other than that, I'd say the game is fine.
Great Game From a great Series
