The sequel to the first Paper Mario, but even better! This is proably my favorite game I've played since Super Mario Bros.! You control Mario and his 7 partners! Goombella, Koops, Madame Flurrie, Vivian, Admiral Bobbery, and Ms. Mowz, to save Princess Peach from the X-Nauts!

The way i see it this game is awesome good storyline,characters,villains and best of all the great mario!The only thing about this game is the cheesy papery effect and that you battle on a stage but other than that it is great.Buy it now!Or ill cry

Paper Mario II attempted to go where its predecessor had not - more items, worlds, characters, side-kicks, and video clips.

And it failed miserably.

While the game is an okay buy - it is fun, after all - it is very poor in comparison to the original Paper Mario. For starters, this one is not appropriate for younger children. (One of Mario's side-kicks has shamelessly promoted female anatomy, yet is grossly fat; Mario must fight piles of bones which are supposedly dead Koopa warriors and fathers, and there is some downright freaky music.)

Then there are the "video clips", in which you must scroll through text bubble after text bubble after text bubble after text bubble...sure, there are some funny jokes sprinkled throughout, but it still wastes a few hours of your life. The fights have become more complicated with the audience members, FP seems more useless, and you'll reach many dead-ends that will leave you scratching your head and hitting your controller in frustration.

HOWEVER...!

As I have mentioned, it is still an OKAY game...Paper Mario has a combination of role-playing, item collecting, battling, and relaxing game play that can't be beat, whether it's version one or version two.

If you're a die hard Paper Mario fan that can't wait for more and don't mind a version that is worse than the first, but not altogether horrible, well, I think you'll enjoy this game.

If you've never played Paper Mario before, or happen to be below the age of 13, GET THE FIRST VERSION, PLEASE! You'll thank me for it later.

I like this game, I LOVED Paper Mario the first, and there is something about the first one that I like more. (BEATEN 6 TIMES!!!) It is good, but the first has more charm.

Thank goodness they started the Paper Mario series!!
I believe the first game is a little better (a little more iteractive) but this one is way more intrieguing and suspenseful!!
The storyline is better as well;
Princess Peach found this magical map from a strange character in Rogueport. She sends a letter to Mario, to come help her search for the legendary treasure- Mario does.
Princess Peach being kidnapped by Bowser is not the main storyline in this game (like previous Mario titles)
This game has complex gameplay when you go through the Chapters.

There are twists and turns in EVERY chapter, this game is a little more intriguing then the first one, but the first one, in my opinion, is still the best video games made EVER, and this is a very close second.
This game is really fun and interactive, although it has lost a little of it's paper affect (it is more like 3D now) you can still tell it is "Paper" Mario.
In this game, you can fold into a paper airplane, a paper boat, a thin sliver to go through bars..ect
This game will keep your interest until the very end!!

They made 8 WONDERFUL, FUN, INTERACTIVE, SUSPENSEFUL Chapters!!
I must say that my absolute favorite chapter would have to be
The one in Glitzville- it is definetely the most suspenseful and fun to play (even with all the batteling) and my least fav would probably have to be the last chapter- but that chapter does challenge you a lot.
This is a VERY great game, just like the first!!!
If you don't have the first, I suggest getting and playing it before you play this one, these two Paper Mario games are the
BEST VID GAMES EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy em!!!! I never get sick of playing both of them over and over and over again-

Okay, paper mario is just an OKAY. I would never say it was great. Some of it's boring and some is absolutly fun. The graphics are great beacuase they are easy for nitendo to make, and the music is fine. The story is the best part. But, it's slow, and i'm sure all of you people who gave it 5 stars agree with me it's slow. Not to much happining, and WAY TOO MUCH TALKING! if this game were a 2-D platforn side scroll game like in the 1980's i would love it. yes they could have the talking in it but if it where platform this game would get 2 more stars from me. This game also has no charm. i Do recomend it though

I havent even played it but from tv it looks ok.But theres one thing wrong.GAMECUBE STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Paper Mario 1 kicked! I've only played demos of this one and it is even better than the first. This game really brought out the best graphics in N64 and brings them back out in GC. Any game with a Mario theme will rock the shelves but Paper Mario has to do it unmatched. Whenever I've been to a store there was somebody asking for the game! Buy the game, it is definately not a waste. All Mario games KICK!!!!!!
