HORRIBLE AND FRUSTANTING!!

It's the worst ever, some of the game levels are very unfair and some of the orbs too. Yoshi orb steals all the orbs in his way, could be 7 or 8 at the time, but playing opposite to Yoshi you don't get anything like it. Very unfair, all the characters should have equal powerful orbs. If you have Mario Party 6, keep it, I'll be selling this one soon.

Nintendo why have you made 7 mario party games. This is dumb ok if you want a "party" game play the first 6.........6! do you want your great great great great grand kids to be playing mario party 500 on the game triangle? they want you do buy stuff for the gamecube so that youll buy more stuff for the next consul. it is probably fun but i don't recomend

Nintendo should produce more super smash bros.' and mario karts!

All Mario Parties are stupid, not just this one! What I don't like about this game is that 90% of it is pure luck. This is okay on regular board games, but not on gamecube ones. I've also never encountered a game that makes me sooo mad (so mad that I considered breaking the disc more than once)! I think this is because there is no way to disperse your anger. For example, if another player hurts you bad, you can't walk up to them and smack them in the face. You have to wait for the too simple minigames. The orbs are cheap; some take you directly to the star. The computer puts the star in front of one player the whole time. The list of cons is endless. I would never reccomend this game. For multiplayer fun on the gamecube, try Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario kart double dash, or soulcalibur.

Mario Party Games give alot of fun to the kiddies. People who have played the other mario party games should not get this game. If you like it, buy it. Many of the minigames are stripped from the old ones giving new boards and more buttonmashing. Concept is the same.

I didn't really enjoy this Mario Party, mostly because it's changed by alot. Bowser time, choppy AI, and other things.

I don't really know the story of this game, I was just playing my friend's edition.

Ratings:

Graphics: 5/10
Usual MP graphics, just some checkered designs on the numbers.

Sound: 3/10
Usual sounds.

Replay Value: 10/10
Every Mario Party game has a huge Replay Value, since it's a party game.

Gameplay: 4/10
Not to good, like I said earlier, choppy AI.

Overall: 3/10
I didn't enjoy this version, but if your a fan of the series, try it out.

Rent, Pass, or Buy?: Rent it, I didn't find this to fun, buy Mario Party 6.

I recently picked up Mario Party 6 which I play with my children (11 and 4) and my husband. We really enjoy 6 as a family game. We do not have a microphone so we usually turn that option off.

We purchased 7 thinking that it would be a nice addition to 6. We were wrong. My 4 year old, who didn't even need a handicap to do well in 6, needs a 3 to 4 star handicap to play 7 on the easy level. Even then he is very fustrated as the "easy" games often require exact timing, which even I, an adult, find challenging. The games are also more vicious. While I have nothing against competition I do have to wonder what they were thinking when several of the games require you to punch and/or kick the other players in order to win. The orbs have also changed. There is now one that, if landed on, all of your orbs are given to the person who placed the orb resulting in that player having several spaces and you having none.

I also don't like that Bowser is more aggresive now. He places 3 Koopa Kid orbs prior to the game starting. If you get a Koopa Kid orb by passing the "orb space" then Koopa will steal it and place it for you. At certain times Bowser will setup his own store which, if passed, your character is kidnapped and forced to purchase an item for 20 coins. After the purchase the item is stolen by the Koopa Kid and, if it's an orb, is placed by him. There is no way to avoid the Bowser as the new game play has a "Bowser Meter" that is filled slowly after each turn. Approximately every 5 turns the meter will be full and you will subjected to him opening a shop, replacing bridges with all Bowser spaces or completeing a challenge. These are in addition to the traditional Bowser spaces on the board.

There are more DK spaces but the games are harder. My 11 year old found the games to be to challenging to be fun. The microphone option can not be disabled in this version. If you do not have a microphone and you land on the space than you must wait while the animation informs you that you can't play that game due to the lack of a microphone.

We will continue to play 6 but I can't see us keeping 7 for very much longer. It's not as entertaining or family oriented as 6. My opinion is that you should keep or get 6 and wait to see if 8 (Will there be an 8?) returns the game to a friendly competition that is enjoyable for all ages.

Hope you didn't sell part 6

Mario Party is a flagship franchise of Mario games. This game contains 86 mini-games that range from cell phone quality to console quality.
Compared to Mario Party 6, it's terrible.
The games are worse (not nearly as fun as part 6), the graphics are worse (to accommodate 8 players I think), the host is annoying both in sound and repeated interruption of the game (bring back the sun and the moon), Bowser will make you buy new controllers after frequently throwing yours at the screen (he is extremely unfair here), there is regular lag in between commencing dialogue and the game.
The only thing better in this part are the Donkey Kong games.
I knew I shouldn't have given away part 6 before buying this.
On its own, this would be a 4 star game, but after playing 6, you know why desert is presented at the end of a meal, after part 6, 7 seems bland.

I don't own this game but I have heard a lot of people talking about the mic feature. What exactly do you do with this mic?
