Mario Party 7 is a awsome game for all ages. It is pretty educational. The fun is 8 people can play. You can be players that you can't be other Mario Partys.

This version of Mario Party really changes things up. As in the past, there is the board game mode with mini-games between turns. Instead of the day/night differences in the last one, this one has bowser mode every 5 turns.

Instead of collecting stars to win the game, each board has a different object in this one. In one game you climb up a mountain. In another you have to fix windmills. It's a neat way to keep things interesting but still maintain the familiar game play.

The microphone spaces on the game board are all the same. They really could have changed these up some. They get boring after a while.

Not sure if it's just my microphone, but it doesn't always recognize what is said. We were playing a microphone mini-game where numbers are involved, and a person said "eight" but the six was hit. Also, during another game the word "orange" was said but the game thought it was "banana".

Turning off the microphone option seems to be the best way to go to avoid confusion and family riots.

This version of Mario Party isn't as kid friendly as the previous ones. The mini-games are a bit more difficult and skill-oriented. Although, there are still some classic button mashers that the kids love.

Still a great game, but I would recommend Mario Party 4 as the best.

Marioparty7 is by far the best in the series. I can see why some people say its hard for young kids but for 8 and up i would say its not that hard. The boards are the best ever because theyre real places. My favorite is pagoda peak. the only downside is that there are only 13 4-player minigames. The good parts are the boards, new characters (dry bones and birdo) the minigames are fun, 8-player mode is fun, theres tons of unlockables, and i like how theres 1- and 4-player bowser and DK minigames. No, the DK minigames are not hard, they just require a bit of practice. I think this is the best mario party game ever. I recommend you buy it NOW!!!

Mario Party 7 is with no doubt the best instaalment yet.
It is basically a giant board game.
There is also a mic. that comes with the game which can be turned off. There is an 8 player mode in which you have 4 teams with 2 people on each team. In the beginning of the game Bowser comes and puts Koopa Kid spaces on the board.
The game is really good.
Here's my rating
Graphics: 4 and a half stars
mini games: 5 stars You can buy games from a shop or unlock while playing.
character sonunds: 4 stars No one talks, they just make sounds. If they talk it comes by words in a box.
Boards: 5 stars. Every board is unique. There are 6 boards.
The point is that Mario Party 7 is the best installment yet.
I would advise you to buy it.

The best multiplayer game ever!!!

This game is by far the best Mario Party game ever! It is better than Mario Party 6. However, it it more fun to play with human players. The more people, the better. I see some people are complaining that this game is too hard and that it is too violent. It isn't! Punching and kicking without gore is not violent. Get used to it. Also, this game is much harder than the other Mario Party games. But if you think it is too hard, there is something wrong with you. If this game were easy like the other Mario Parties, it wouldn't be fun. The Bowser Time is a great addition. It makes the game more fun.

P.S. Who needs a handicap when the CPU is on weak? Pathetic.

Pretty good game.

Pretty good game. It's best if your playing with another player. The mini games are okay. And Bowser is really mean. If you are a mario fan you might want to buy this game.

How's your accent?

I'll get to the rest of the gameplay when I update later. Right now, I'm obsessed with the microphone.
Unless you're English Canadian, you may have some trouble playing the microphone games since even the slightest accent can cause a command to be completely ignored. I can just imagine some Brit saying, "Wha' the bloody 'ell?! I SAID strewburry!!" If North American English is not your first language, I suggest importing a copy from whatever region speaks your primary language. If you're a redneck, then you're pretty much screwed.
All joking aside, the mini-games are still fairly fun. In Solo Mode, you are pitted against one opponent, so you don't have to wait three turns when you're friends aren't around. This would have been better had it been playable online, but GameCube is not famous for online play. (Only SEGA and WarpPipe have ever taken advantage of Nintendo's forty-dollar modems)

Not What I Expected

I have played all of the Mario Party Games for the Gamecube, and when 7 came out, I went ahead and got it for Christmas thinking it would be the best Mario Party Game ever. I was wrong.

Like all Mario Party games I've played, once you complete the game, it gets boring unless you have someone to play with, and even that gets boring after while. I noticed that the party mode is much more competitive than its predecessors and it requires a little more brain power to beat the minigames. I dislike the new Bowser Meter that fills up every turn and, once full, Bowser wreaks havoc on one or more of the players. Also, the DK games are definitely harder and less fun.

The new 8 player option is ok, considering I have cousins and brothers who need more 8 player games. The solo mode option is too difficult for a kid to complete, especially the last Bowser's Enchanted Inferno map. My 8 year old twin brothers practically beat the solo mode on Mario Party 6, but couldn't get the elevator pass 50 on Mario Party 7.

Overall, I think this game is intended for kids 12 and up, with the help of someone older. It's fun while it lasts.
