Finally a shooter for the great Game Cube!

If you want a shooter game to play on Game Cube until Metroid Prime or Perfect Dark Zero comes out I suggest you check out Agent Under Fire. On the first level you need to rescue this women named Zoe thats a secret agent that has been caught in the process of stealing some suit case with important files in it. On the second level Zoe drives around the streets of Hong Kong in a green BMW 740IL while you shoot at Limos, a armored van, and helicopters attacking you with a CH-6 rocket lancher, shoot gun, and a KA57 assalt rifle. You need to get away with the suit case and make it to agent R. After you find agent R on the docks of Hong Kong he shows you an BMW Z8 with rockets, missiles, Q-pulse, and oil slicks.

So I don't spoil the surprise of the game lets move on to pros and cons.

PROS
* FUN DRIVING LEVELS
* SEVERAL GUNS TO CHOSE FROM

CONS
* EXTREMLY STUPID ARTIFICIAL INTELLEGENCE
* MOST LEVEL ARE EASY
* MOST LEVELS ARE LACK LUSTER
* AUTO AIM NEEDS TO BE BETTER
* ENEMIES TAKE TO LONG TO ATTACK AND PRESS ALARMS
* ENEMIES NEED TO BE SHOT AT TO MANY TIMES UNLESS YOU SHOOT THEM IN THERE HEADS OR SHOOT THEM WITH SSR 4000 SNIPER RIFLE

A sad offering

I find this game very sad and frustrating. After Rare set the bar with Goldeneye for the N64, I've been aching for a Bond game with some bite. Due to the lack of first-person shooters for the Cube, I had high hopes for this game. Unfortunately, EA developed this game and it plays as dull as The World is Not Enough. The Bond personality, while it tries at times, just isn't present.

I have a big problem with the control style. It's very awkward to get used to after the tight controls of Perfect Dark or a Turok adventure. The multiplayer seemed a bit put together, and just downright not fun. The frantic nature of Super Smash Bros. Melee or the "In You Face!" style of NBA Street offer better multiplayer fare. Some of the level designs seemed interesting, but for each of those, there's about one or two pointless ones. The discovery factor in the game is wiped out by M or Q basically holding your hand through the missions (Do this now... then this). A little more attention to detail would have made for a much more enjoyable game.

To sum up: Take your frag-fest elsewhere. The GameCube is still looking for it's Halo. With Metroid Prime in the works, the hopes aren't dead yet. I just find it sad that, in this genre, Perfect Dark still seems the gold standard for just about any home system. We may just need Rare to come through for us again.

i got MOTION SICK!!...

don't get me wrong or anything, this game is great, but i think the camera moved a little too much. i was however displeased with the first-person view, i think this should be an option, 3rd or 1st person view. i played the game for about 45 minutes and i started to get dizzy and nausea set in.

today i traded the game in because i wasn't going to play this knowing i would get sick. i took the game to gamestop and got a good trade-in value.

sorry, i didn't get that far, i completed two missions and had to stop. but i gaurantee you'll love the gameplay. some people don't get sensitive to certain movements, but i do. i was so excited to get this game, i hated to trade it.

i recommend this game to all serious video gamers.

ps. (be forewarned) the guy at gamestop said he and alot of people get motion sick playing this game.

i would say rent it first if you know you get motion sick.

One of the greatest video games out there.

James Bond Agent under fire, is the best game I have ever played on any system. It is a first person game, and each level has different play i.e. the first level is one where you grab guns sneak through hallways to complete your mission. Level two you are driving a car trying to catch the bad guys and need to disable their truck so you can retrieve the stolen formula. You don't get board with the game because the play totally changes from level to level. The four player head to head is a flat out blast. This is a great game for anyone over the age of 13 due to simulated violence and some sexual inuendo.

decent, but no Goldeneye

James Bond: Agent under fire is not what you would expect from the next of one of my favorite games from N64. It is just overall not as fun. It is kind of a game that you can pick up and play, but you will get stuck big time if you are not an experienced shooter. The multiplayer action is decent, but invisible in the shadow of Halo for XBOX so don't expect anything like that. This is a game with unfair expectations, but I really don't think that this game deserves another look. On the contrary, James Bond: NightFire is great, buy that instead.

Quite good. Weak in some spots, but quite good.

For the money you'll pay... I would highly recommend this game. It is a solid shooter with only a few minor problems.

It has many different levels, so there is no shortage of variety. There are many types of guns and several gadgets. The real fun comes in the form of the driving and rail shooting levels. There is one level that puts you in the driver's seat of an Aston Martin DB5 and you race through the streets of Budapest. Your car comes equipped with all manner of cool weapons including rockets (for taking out enemy cars) and missiles (for taking out enemy helicopters). That level also features a rail shooting area where you are in a Soviet tank armed with a cannon and a chain gun. This is my favorite level of the game.

The regular "walk around" levels are pretty good as well. The enemies (in my experience) seem to be a little dumb. You can walk right up behind them and pop 'em off before they even know you're there. Like many shooters you might not feel the need to play it very often, but for the price you'll likely pay, you don't have to feel bad about getting it.

Last word: Agent Under Fire is a fine shooter, in particular if you don't want massive blood and guts. The "victims" fall down without any sign of a wound, and disappear in a few seconds. There is a good selection of levels and weapons, and many different things to do after you finish the last level (for example I believe there are other levels you can unlock if you obtain all the "Golden Rewards". I'm not sure though.)

I can't comment on the multi-player feature having never played it.

Could of been better but still a nice shooter

This game was okay. It could of had a better story and it should of been more challenging. It is also short. I beat in a week then got bored with it. Some nice things are that you open new cheats after beating each level. Some of the cheats are awesome like rapid fire mode for your pp7. It has some real nice graphics and the controls are simple. The only thing I don't like is James Bond's face. It has very poor texture. If you're a real bond fan, buy it. If not rent it.

Better then any 007 Game-----------------------------yet.

Okay...not at good as GoldenEye

I expected a lot from this game. Heard from reviews that this was as good if not better than GoldenEye from N64. Personally i didn't find this version of bond as good as the original for a few reasons. First i thought the missions just wasn't as good as goldeneye, they are just not as complex and original, and they are somewhat easy. I remember I used to spend hours trying to finish one level on goldeneye, but this version you could finish the game in a day or two. Second i couldn't get use to the controls. Unlike goldeneye the crosshair never returned to the original position, you have to adjust it yourself which is difficult when you have people shotting at you. Lastly there just isn't that many good secrets to uncover in this game, they are just small little weapons here and there.

On the other hand, this game has amazing graphics and movie clips. The characters actually speak and the music is very bond like. And bond can actually jump in this game making the mutiplayer game more intense. Also with bots its fun to play by yourself.

I give it four out of five because i still love bond and its fun.

bond has come a long way from the 64 as far as graphics are concerned, but the most important part of any video game is how much fun you have while playing it. This game has a lot of neat ideas that are pretty well incorporated;however, it seemed too easy. As other owners of the game know, the game tells you exactly what to do. I did find this game fun overall, but one bad thing about it is i couldn't get any other brand of controller to work during multiplayer besides the Nintendo brand.
