This game is great! One of the best Bond games yet. The ratings go something like this(In my oppion),
Controls-10/10
Weapons-10/10
Levels-9/10
Gadgets-10/10
All in all this game is well construced and put together. If I had to rate this game I would probably give this game a 10/10.

-If you crave first person shooters, this is the best buy

When I was first getting this game, I wasn't sure whether or not it would be as horrible as "Tomorrow Never Dies" for Playstation, or as wonderful as "Goldeneye" for N64. It was neither. This was tremendously fun, because the missions are balanced with fun and strategy.

The Good Sides:
1. Four new Multiplayer Options: Counter-Terrorist (defusing bombs), Top Agent (King of the Hill), Escort (Protect civilians, and assasinate them), and Protect the Flag (Capture the Flag)
2. Drive your own machine gun and rocket launcher equipped BMW through an action-packed car chase mission in single player.
3. Countless amounts of weapons make every game a surprise.
4. Traditional Bond-style missions with six unique gadgets
5. Three different difficulty settings for beginners, novices, and 00 Agents.
6. The enemies actually are smart in this one, hearing you change your weapons when you try to sneak up on them and shouting things at you like "You won't run away from this one" and "I'll get you Bond!".
7. IT's JAMES BOND!!!

(No bad sides)

Falls Short of Everything GoldenEye Was

EA, I must say, has the challenge of a lifetime. That, of course, if having to compete with such a "Rare" masterpiece in GoldenEye, which was released five years ago, and still is considered one of the best, if not THE best, first-person shooter ever.

For one, I was never a fan of N64's 'The World is Not Enough'. I rented it and thought the graphics were nice, but it played too slow for me, and it didn't have that James Bond quality that we saw in GoldenEye. Here, I feel that EA has taken a step backwards, failing miserably with this game. (Though there were some nice points, which I will get to.)

The Pros

1.) The graphics are nice, yes, but not as sharp as Rogue Squadron II or Resident Evil. Bond, though he does not look like Pierce Brosnan--more like Sean Connery to me, actually--does indeed look like a Bond, just not any we've seen.
2.) The driving levels are fun, and really make the game feel more like you're in a Bond movie. Save for the tank level in GoldenEye, there was no driving, which was a shame. (Except, though, the tank was more fun than these levels. Go figure.)
3.) Some nice looking backgrounds and characters, but the guns seem to be lacking in quality and realism.

The Cons

1.) Four gadgets? That speaks for itself. I want more, and I got sick of playing around with the Q-Claw and the others on my cell phone. Bond is not Bond without his gadgets.
2.) This game is definitely too short for its own good. With 12 levels, I was hoping for some vast, Control-like levels we saw in GoldenEye. None of that here. You feel like you're running around your house more than you feel you're in a mammoth building. That and the fact that the levels are so insanely short takes away from replay value. I played this game for 2 hours and beat half of the game. Now, that would be all fine and dandy, but the levels aren't very fun either. No, not very fun at all.
3.) How does almost every gun sound the same? This bothered me, though it may not you. GoldenEye, which came years before this, seems to be so advanced in everything. Maybe EA will have it right in 2010, but when that year comes around, we'll be marveling at Perfect Dark 4.
4.) The James Bond theme is a nice theme...I just don't want to hear it all the time.
5.) Though I liked the Bots and some of the scenarios in Multi-Player, the levels were too small. I felt as if I was playing lazer-tag in my bedroom.

Overall, Agent Under Fire is worth a rent. And though it's a decent shoot-em-up game, it's not what we want. We want stealth, we want Bond...and better yet, we want Rare. Perhaps they'll buy the rights again one day, and create a new masterpiece for 'Die Another Day', the next Bond movie, due out this Novemeber.

PlayStation 2 players, don't worry. You have Medal of Honor. X-Box owners, no need to fret...play Halo. Us GameCube owners can say the same...we have Perfect Dark Zero on the way. (Not to mention Medal of Honor Frontlines, which is due out later this year on the Cube.)

Best Available Multiplayer Game for the Gamecube

The multiplayer for Agent Under Fire is what I would consider a foil for the Halo multiplayer. Both setups are fun, but very different. Halo has epic, sweeping maps, but is very confined to the ground and is a more standard approach. Agent Under Fire utilizes compact maps with plenty of places to duck behind, and with the rocket packs turned on, is extremely three-dimensional. You'll need to learn to aim and as you're flying through the air. I have yet to find a game comparable in multiplayer quality for the Gamecube.

The singleplayer mode leaves something to be desired, and is very linear with minimal unlockables. It's also rather short.

The breakdown:

Graphics: 9/10
Replayability: 10/10
Controls: 10/10
Multiplayer: 10/10
Singleplayer: 6/10

Decent, but not great.

When I first bought this game, I couldn't wait to play it. I had heard great things about it, especially the multiplayer, and so was really looking forward to having slug fests with bots. However, I was extremely disappointed with both singleplayer and multiplayer aspects of this game. In single player, there are only 12 levels, the plot is poorly developed, and the structure of the game can be very frustrating at times. However, the car driving levels are pretty fun. The thing I was most disappointed with was the multiplayer though. After playing Perfect Dark for 64, I wanted to be able to have lots of bots, with lots of different settings you could control. Agent under fire has none of those options, however. Only four players, bot or human, can play at a time, and the bots only have three difficulty settings, with an aggression level also. With bots on hard they are nearly impossible to beat, especially because they can jump. The levels in MP are vastly inferior to PD or the other previous bond game. Overall, the MP is disappointing, even if one had never played PD before. One last thing is the controls. I found them, for the most part, easy to get used to, but found one problem with them. Basically, there are two options for the control. On one, you must use the control pad to cycle weapons, making it nearly impossible to run while cycling weapons, extremely frustrating in MP. The other option uses the control pad for manual aim, also very frustrating. You have no other options. Overall, I was very disappointed in this game, disappointed I paid 50 bucks for a game that has little lasting power because of its poor MP. If you want a good but short sp experience, this game is for you. If you want to be able to keep playing time and again, I wouldn't advise this game.

PERFECT!

Wow! This is the best single player game by far out of my eleven games. I'm a big James Bond fan and love all three games I own - Goldeneye, The World is not Enough, and Agent Under Fire. Nothing could be more perfect in this game except reality. James Bond normally would die after two or three shots, but if the game was that hard it would be impossible to beat. The best feature of this game is that you can ride in his car. The other best feature is the awesome weapons and original Q gadgets. If you liked any of the previous 007 games this game is a MUST!!!

007 is one of the most popular games on the gamecube. Not to mention that is fun to play. The graphics are very nice.(Superb). The X-Box, and PlayStation2 version of 007 aren't quite as good as the version on the Gamecube. 007 just isn't made for the PlayStation2, and the X-Box. After all....... Who came out with (007 Goldeneye), and (007 The World Is Not Enough)? Nintendo has been out for so many years. That shows that it is a great system. I hope that this review was helpful to you.

The Best for Gamecube - So Far...

I was dying to buy this game a few months ago, and I was extremely impressed with both the great gameplay and excellent graphics. Here is a list to help you decide wheather or not you want this game.

Graphics=9.5/10 EXCELLENT 99% of the time, but occationally, (like when you drive through the factory skylight in "The Streets of Bucharest") the graphics can look very fake.

Gameplay=10/10 easily the best game of its type out for Gamecube. In my opinion it is even better than "Goldeneye".

Sound=8.5/10 Great explosions and realistic gun sounds, but music is nothing special.

Multiplayer=7/10 Very fun, with several levels and all the guns, but this game could use some more multiplayer levels or at the very least the levels could have been bigger.

Replay value=9/10 believe it or not, this game is fun to play again. There are three different modes of play, so once you get good you make make the game harder. Also, the better you do in the levels the higher you are rated (from bronze-platium). Also if you get gold and platium on a level it unlocks new multiplayer maps and new/'gold' weapons.

I hope this help you make up your mind, but...

***Personally I WOULD NOT buy this game because EA is coming out with the next version called "Nightfire" in just a few months, and it should be slightly better.

Really Lame

Joanna Dark it is not. This game is dull, talks to you as though you are watching Play Skool, and -the most real complaint- it is hard,in a headache inducing way,to focus laser guns etc on the exact spot you need to focus them on.Ridiculous.
