I put this game at maximum rating. If you have seen the graphics for Goldeneye 007,Tommorow Never Dies, and The World Not Enough. Those three 007 games are the best on N64 and Playstation. If you have seen 007 Agent Under Fire, you say that the other 007 games [stink]. Gamecube has the best graphics for the nwe 007 game. The guns are way better too. You don't know what you're missing if you don't buy this game. Perfect Dark for N64 was an great game but dinky to 007 Agent Under Fire. the game invovles a book and a movie. You must buy this game before they run out. The game is going to be a title of game history.
I wish i could give it ten stars!

Where to start. First, let me just say that this is no GTA3. Although it is a great game, some things about it could be better, some are great as they are.
Single Player is fun, and trying to get the gold, and platinum medals is a challenge, but what isn't a challenge is beating all 12 levels. I beat it in about a week(not including medals), but it took me maybe 7 weeks to beat it, getting all the medals. This game also has a limited "Bondness" about it, you don't really sneak, you shoot. All in all, the Single player is probably a 4, but multiplayer is completely makes up for it.
In Multiplayer, the bots aren't good, period, they are either way to hard or way to easy, but if you have 3 friends and 4 controllers, you can stay up all night. The levels, although not large, are varied enough so that you can't really get bored, and the gun selection is huge, making for fun "Sniper" battles, or close range shootouts, but the best part is the gadgets. Although there are only two usable gadgets (A Jetpack, and a Grappling hook; Q-jet and Q-claw respectively), they make up for it with all the fun things they can do. At first they are awkward, but when you find yourself flying through the air and blowing someones head off without them even seeing you, it is something special.
I really have no clue why people rate it so low, sure, single player isn't that great (except the car levels), but Multiplayer makes up for that, three times (personally I prefer it over SSBM.) Hope this review was of some help to you.
Wow

James Bond is back and you'd think he'd be slowing down by now but he's not. Agent Under Fire is a fast-paced action games. The single player mode is fun enough. If you want to achieve the medals and secrets that are unlocked by medals you have to be stealthy, conserve ammo, etc. You get to use neat gadgets in the single player and multiplayer modes such as the Q-Claw. There are also driving levels where you actually get to drive that cars and other levels where you are in a vehicle but don't control where it goes. The cars you get to drive are the BMW Z8 and an Aston Martin (there is also a hidden car that you can drive it is faster than both with quicker acceleration as well) but you have to unlock it through high scores. By achieving medals you can also contribute to the already wonderful multiplayer experience. In multiplayer you can compete against friends or bots, but 4 players at the maximum. You can use only two Q-Gadgets in multiplayer but it makes it all the more fun. You can use the grappling hook and zip around the level in a Spiderman-esque manner. You can also use the rocket pack to propel yourself to the top of a building where you can then use your sniper rifle to pick off unsuspecting opponents. But believe me there is nothing more satisfying than using the grappling hook to zip straight towards an opponent and then blast them with the shotgun. There are different situations for multiplayer such as: combat, bomb defusing, top agent, escort, etc. Overall James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire is a fantastic game in single player and multiplayer mode.

This game does possess superb graphics, and the presentation is overall quite amazing, but repeated playing of the main missions can get boring. Some people like the actual spy parts of the game exciting, but others prefer straight shootouts like those offered by the original GoldenEye. The reason the main game loses its ability to provide fun gameplay is simply that the objectives and the way in which one completes them are set rather solidly. If you fail a mission near the end, you must go back to the beginning of that section and redo it all, and when you have to follow exact procedures repeatedly, that is when you begin to lose interest. Still, the main game is not a total loss--the driving missions are always fun, and some of the levels offer a real challenge to overcome, and the storyline is also immersing: you will want to know what happens in the next level. The real high-point of this game is the multiplayer features. The selections for each game are nearly limitless, and like in Perfect Dark for N64, you are able to configure custom weapon loadouts. The AI-controlled "Bots" can be extremely difficult to defeat at their maximum level, but a drawback is that you may only use four players total in each game, including the Bots. Some new and interesting features are available, such as the Q-Jet jetpack, grappling claws, and a low-gravity mode that makes the characters move as if they were on the moon. The levels are well designed for combat and other modes. In all, I believe that this is a great game, worth the price simply for the multiplayer options alone.
Entertaining, but too short, 007 game

The makers of "James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire" made some missteps in their development of this Bond effort. While still a very entertaining game with some levels that truly capture the imagination, "Agent Under Fire" comes across as a truncated mission. After investing just a few hours in playing "Agent Under Fire", the game is over and the enemy vanquished. That may have been passable for older gaming platforms with less memory power, but it's unacceptable for a game on a system like the GameCube. I encountered a similar aggravation when I played "Rebel Assault II" for PlayStation. However, "RA II" failed to possess any redeeming qualities, while "Agent Under Fire" does.
"Agent Under Fire" provides an array of fascinating gadgets and weapons for the player to use in helping Bond accomplish his mission. There are gadgets like a laser for cutting locks, a decoder for getting past security systems, and even a grapple hook to help Bond get into out of reach places. The weapons run the gamut from his famous 'golden gun' to the most sophisticated rocket launchers. Let it not be said that Bond doesn't get to travel in style. He gets to create some high-flying mayhem in his classic BMW. He also gets to attack the bad guys aboard an underground tram system. He even gets to storm the streets of some downtown European city aboard a tank and take out people, cars, and helicopters!
Despite the shortness of the game, many of the individual boards are quite challenging and satisfying to beat. Battles ranging from fights on an oil drilling platform to taking on a bad guy above molten lava to final mission in a remote, snowbound mountain hideout are quite a treat to play. The weapons, gadgets, vehicles, and levels that one would expect from Bond are what make this game worthwhile.
Dissapointed

I would have to say over all Goldeneye is waaaaaaaay better. This game has good graphics but the plot sucks and so do the guns. The multiplayer mode is terrible and there is no AI bots, and the levels are sooooooooooo tiny. This game over all sucks compared to Goldeneye.

Hands Down this is one is the best James Bond game ever. (Besides Goldeneye). Anyway, Agent Under Fire has the best sound and graphics ever. The weaponry is out of this world with the Frinese Special, Golden gun, M16 rocket launcher, K57 Soviet Gun, and much more. The gadgets are even better with the Q-laser, Q-claw, Q-jet, Q-remote, and more. The Q-claw lets you fly around like spiderman as long as there is the little thing that you hook it onto. In multiplayer you don't need the hook.
The only anoying thing that you must do, and there is no other way around it, is to save you game. You must go back from the mission select menu go down to save mission and then save it. It doesn't sound like a pain but it is anoying trust me.
Just one more thing I haven't beat the game yet but i'm on level 12 I think so trust me there is more than just 10 levels.
Sorry for any mispellings and thanks for readin'
In conclusion AUF gets: 10/10
Way cool

I like the game but when you get to the (about) 8th level it gets a little boring because you have to keep doing the same thing over and over again when you fail the mission.

Finally, after about three years, Electronic Arts has released a fairly good first person shooter James Bond game. This tital has mostly everything that a gamer, one who is looking for a stratagy based shooting game, wants. Unlike EA's "The World is Not Enough," with its disapointing selection of items and cardbord cut-out graphics that made gamers sick, "Agent Under Fire" is actually fun. The graphics are amazing and make the characters come to life, showing expression and personality and prooving that EA tried to take advantage of all that Game Cube has to offer. Another plus is the extreamly fun driving options, where you take the wheel of a BMW Z8 with its arsonal of Q-Gagets at your figers.
While this game offers many great qualities, there are some that are disapointing. One of these that is by far the most disapointing thing about this game, is the controle. Unfortunetly, EA still has not yet learned anything from Rare's "Golden Eye," for N64. The aiming system is annoying and the sidestep action, controlled by the "C-Stick" is very unusful. If your stratagy for the other games was to side step from behind a wall, shoot off a few rounds, and move back behind that same wall for cover, you will be very disapointed by this games controle. In fact, at this point I'm convinced that EA made this game for someone who has three hands. They force a gamer to move their fingers all over the controller in akward possitions that make my hands hurt by just talking about it. Another bad quality is the story, one that looks like it was one the MGM turned down as a movie. Aside from these things, the game is still decent and is worth a trip to the vidio store for a rental. In terms of buying the game, you can decied for yourself.
