I love this expansion pack. Will Wright outdid himself with this one. They just keep getting better and better. I love how The Sims can now drive cars(hated waiting for that pesky taxi cab). It makes the game so much better.

We are huge Sims fans, and this one is sooo awesome! I never took my Sims out on the town, but now I do constantly! They have fun nightclubs and cool cars! This is highly recommended to all you Sims-aholics like us! :D

When will it end!!!???

I do love this game. For some reason controlling small, virtual minds appeals to all levels. I just wish it wasnt 30 - 40 dollars a pop!
Theres alot of new things to do and try with this expansion that really livens up the sim world, and I look forward to the new one.

exallant game i enjoy playing this game you can go on dates own a card new meals downtown vampires i recomend this game 2 all.There are nwe action lik da new kiss thingy you can even write a love letter or leave a displeasing presant at somones door.With clubs,louges,boowling allies,karioke,restrants and more you will have lots to do!!!!
i rate this game high so save up ur money and get ready 2 buy the sims 2 nightlife. (must have the sims 2 or specil additon dvd)

Worth getting, but not as good as Hot Date

I'm a huge fan of the original Sims and it's 7 expansions. I've played Sims and Sims Bustin Out for the PS2 as well, and even Sims Online. But nothing really compares to the originals.

Within the past couple of months, I have bought The Sims 2, University, and now this expansion pack... Nightlife. Nightlife is definitely worth getting for Sims 2, but it's not perfect. In fact, it feels incomplete. Compared to the original "Hot Date" for the Sims, Nightlife seems to scratch the surface when it comes to interactive objects for Downtown, but not nearly enough compared to what you could get in Hot Date.

Still, this expansion is worth getting for the objects and of course, the cars. The cars are a neat addition. I enjoy the date meter, and it does fix a few bugs from University from what I could tell. And although I have yet to meet a vampire, I know that this is another really cool addition to the game. Plus there are some graphical additions which allow you to see "neighboring" lots from the lot you are playing on. It really immerses you in the game further.

I am curious as to who pre-ordered the game from Amazon. Supposedly there was "exclusive music" to download from your digital locker that you could put into the game. If you pre-ordered your game from here and haven't written your review yet, then please let us know what kind of exclusive music you got and what you thought of it.

Sims night life

If you love the Sims, then you will love this expansion. It has a lot of great new features for your Sims that like to get out and party. The new dating features are a lot of fun and help your sim find that special someone. This game is tons of fun!

This is another great improvement in the world of the Sims 2. Those of us in the simming community have waiting a long time to have cars and it was worth the wait! The game play of downtown is great too. I enjoy the new interactions among sims and the ways that they get to know each other now. This is a must buy addition. Your sims will be happy you did.

I was looking forward to Sims2 Nightlife and when I recieved the first thing that I noticed was the packinging. There was no jewel case and that the cd-roms were one on top of another in a container that resembled a dvd case. Considering that jewel cases are to prevent the disks from being damaged, this concerned me. I then installed the game and the problems really began. First it would not install because of the patch from EA games that was installed for Sims2 University. So I had to unistall everything then re-install. Then when I get the game loaded up the graphic quality was not as good as prior to installation and the game ran much slower. My system exceeds the recomended requirements and all upgrades to drivers on my graphics card had already been done as I have had problems with Sims games in the past and know the drill. The downtown was a disapointment. I was expecting something at least similar to Sims Hot date. This paled in comparison to the former. All I can say is that after this I will NEVER buy another Sims2 add-on again. Do not waste your money on this its not worth it.

It's a good game, just like Hot Date though. You really need a good computer for this... if you don't have a good/great computer then this game won't be very fun for you. If your computer is great then you'll love it.

This is great, I love being able to go places, it really opens up the possibilities, highly recommend.
