Bigger, Better, Can't Wait For More!

Dating, Vampires, Cars to drive, Turn-On's, Turn-Off's, Half-Walls, Useable Garages, Photo Booths, Bowling, Gypsy Matchmaker all new. Oh yeah, and Mrs. Crumplebottom is back! This game is full of new and fun objects, destinations and interactions.

You can build your own garage and then park your own car in it. Get an alarm installed for $250 so the burglar will not steel it.

Go out on a date or get together with a group of friends, just for fun or have your date rated. A dream date (the highest you can get) will get you a large bouquet of flowers with a special note from your date. Get your picture taken in the new photo booth, with or without your date. Then bring it home and hang it on your wall to admire. While you are out you could meet a vampire, get very friendly with him or her and you just might get bit and become one yourself. Then you can bite all of your friends! Go out to dinner, bowling or dancing for fun, or just go shopping for some new clothes or a nice bottle of perfume. Be very careful with your kissing and hugging and don't get caught by Mrs. Crumplebottom. If you're not sure who to date, call the Gypsy Matchmaker and for a few simoleons she will set you up with a blind date.

One of the best things about this game is the new Turn-on's and Turn-Off selection for each sim. When your sim becomes a teen you get to choose two turn-on's and one turn-off. Then when in the downtown area your sim can scope the room and look for other sims that you would be turned on to.

I've been playing The Sims since 2000 and I think the games just keep getting better and better. I really can't wait for the next one - coming soon!

One of the biggest fans says: Finally, they have cars!

I am the biggest fan of these games, and yes, I did finally yell "THEY HAVE CARS!!"

In Nightlife, your Sims have the chance to go out n' about in the new downtown area. This is very similar to The Sims: Hot Date expansion, but it reaches a broader audience of the life-stages.

Your Sims can bowl, dine in a 50's diner, eat at the swankiest place, dance the "Smustle", sing karaoke, DJ, drive cars, go on dates, and yes, turn into a vampire if they come across one, and get bitten.

When they go out on a date/casual group, they have meter to tell you how its going. My tip: Look at the other dates wants, and try to accomplish them. You get a surprise when you reached "Dream Date".

This was worth every penny, and yes, on March 2nd, I'm SO buying The Sims 2: Open for Business!!!!

Absolutely Breath taking!

This game is by far the best Sims game, regardless of version 1 or 2, to date. You drive cars, you become a vampire, you have a matchmaking service, this game has it all, Downtown included! This is a must-have Sims 2 expansion pack! There are many more attire choices, many more items, and also did I say cars? Cars are one of the many "best part"s. You get to finally make a driveway and park in the garage. Poker tables, bowling alleys, restaraunts, everything! This game must be purchased!

My aunt bought me this game about a month ago and it is very, very awesome! The game is very similar to The Sims Hot Date because both the expansions add a downtown and the vampires are totally awesome! I will make a sim and give them a vampire costume and move them into a spooky house in downtown. Downtown has a spooky house alredy there for you it is called the House of Fallen Trees and it has an extremly large basement with two coffins in it! At about 12'o clock I will get the cruising on to downtown and they will befriend a vampire and become bit and I have my vampire. There is also cars on this game so you dont have to wait for the carpool or taxi and the cars are very awesome so you can turn on the radio and there are about five differnt cars! This is one of my most favorite games and I have also The Sims 2,and the University,Open For Business,Family Fun stuff ,Glamour Life Stuff, and my mom ordered me The Sims 2 pets yesterday and it was shiped out yesterday! The only thing I dont like about this game is if the sims energy bar is real low and they are eating they will fall asleep with their face in the food, but other than that the game is very, very, very awesome!

Great Expansion

This is a great expansion to The Sims 2. As mentioned in other reviews there are several new cheat codes. The most useful ones being familyfunds and maxmotives. The maxmotives one I use several times it sets all the motives such as hunger, tiredness, comfort, environment etc to maximum. This is really useful when you want your sim to do something but they wont because they are tired, bored or hungry or even worse all of the above. The sims can now own their own car and have a garage to put it in. Make sure they fit it with an alarm because it can be stolen as I found out the hard way. There is also a downtown area with a variety of stores, clubs and gyms.

The new expansion is going to be great. I just want to give a little more info for those of you who dont think its WORTH IT! You get cars for the first time, there are new interactions like slow dancing, and longing gazes. I even read you can change your aspiration, sort of like an epiphany. When the sims go on dates they have a date meter or if they go alone can find a date because they r now "attracted" to sims according to interests and zodiac signs. New hairstyles and clothes, and of course all the new items. Shoot, thats enough for me im coppin first thing Thursday.

Highly Reccomended

While if you can only get one expansion pack I would reccomend University, if you can only get two I reccomend this one as well! It adds cars, vampires, a match making service (pay 5,000 simoleons and the lady will give you a PERFECT match that never gets mad at your sim and that you can pretty much kiss and hug right away without offending), downtown, dating, turn offs/turn ons, which makes it not only helpful in bettering your sims but more fun! If you get stressed managing your sims like I do the match making service and the ability to add your own car will make things more convient for you.

Another great expansion!

I was definitely pleased with this expansion pack. Not only does it add new objects and new features for your Sims, it also impacts the way the game looks and feels. For example, you can have "half-walls" which definitely helps in designing that perfect place. Also, you can now see lots nearby the lot you are working on. The better your graphic card, the further you will be able to see. The new diagonal pool tool is handy too, I've made some interesting shapes with my water.

I think one of my most favorite objects with this expansion are the colored lights (the lights can change the color of the room). That really helps set the tone for a variety of clubs or diners that I have built. All in all, I have only found a couple of errors on this expansion and it's caused my system too crash just once.

I highly recommend this expansion pack, it really helps add depth to an already impressive game!

Great! Can't wait until the next

I love this game and it's expansions. I love the additional careers that go along with University after you graduate, even though it is long as hizzell. And I love the new dating aspect of Nightlife, it makes getting together certain Sims a little better. It's almost as if the Sims now have some choice as too who they will get along with best. As where before simmers hooked up which ever Sims they think look the best together and will make the best looking offspring. I actually make the attempt to get together sims when they show an attraction to them even if I myself don't find them attractive. It varies the gene pool a bit and sometimes you actually get gorgeous kids from not so hot parents. And I've never had any problems with my game or extensions crashing. I've had a few bugs here and there, but nothing major. So don't discount the game based on a few reviews because gamers are trying to play a high maintenance game on a low maintenance system. It's not fair to blame Maxis because you don't upgrade your system. However like I said there are some simple bugs that I'm sure will be worked out.

A lot of fun; adds a lot more layers of activity to the game

The Sims 2 Nightlife brings a whole new world of personal interactions to your sims. In a way, I noticed showing chemistry/attraction between people (or a lack of it), makes the game easier to navigate. There are great new styles, and a whole host of new interactions between people. It is a lot more than the expansion pack "Hot Date" developed for the first Sims. You'll love playing it! Oh, and there's vampires!
