I recently bought the Nightlife EP for The Sims 2 game. The part of this EP that I like best, is the new ability to build driveways, garages, and have Sims own and drive their own vehicles to work, community lots, etc. I don't enjoy waiting for taxicabs, or waiting for my Sims' taxicabs to show up! Also, if users want to download custom content, usually architectural items, furniture, clothing, etc., in some cases they need to have Nightlife installed, for the items to work correctly. These items are available on many The Sims 2 websites, many for free. I have found that having the custom content to use, makes the game much more enjoyable, and realistic-looking.

I've always loved the Sims games, and the Nightlife expansion is no exception!
What's awesome about this game is that your Sims can own cars, which is great, especially with families with kids! No more wasted days if your Kids/Teens miss school! Just have an them all carpool with a teen or have an Adult/Elder take them to school in the car! They have no seating limits either, so a whole family of 8 can fit in a tiny sports car, lol.
The next thing is VAMPIRES! Your sim can now be the creatures of the night.
It's especially cool to have a friend as a vampire if your sim is a nightowl, because unlike other sims, Vampires don't get mad if you call them at 3 o'clock in the morning to hang out. The only down side is that if a Sim is a vampire, they can't really hold a job to well, because a few short hours in sunlight will kill them.
An awesome addition the your Sims2 game.

I just got this game and already it is boring! Much like Sims 2, but a few extra options. I will not be purchasing anymore Sims games. They get old quick. Save your money on this one.

Looks great, which all the new capabilities, the only thing I'm worried about is the ever dreaded glitches and bugs (university didnt do too hot in that department, there were literally 100s of bug reports!) I hope NightLife won't have as many, but since this is pretty new and unstable technology I wouldn't be too surprised. But even with that minor set-back, I would still DEFINITLY get it!!
Shocking! Deserves 0 Stars but option not given

I am appalled that anyone would consider this an appropriate game for a young teen... let alone someone who is nearing the end of their teen years! Since when do we encourage our teenagers to go out on the town, tell them it's alright to have one night relationships, to dabble in stuff that is better left alone? I'm sorry.... but this definitely is not a game I want my daughter (or even my son) to have! Here is a quote I read on Amazon about the game: "Ahh, hedonism. Choose the all-new Pleasure Seeker life aspiration for your Sims and live vicariously through your characters. Deliver these Sims all the blissful amusements the world has to offer--hot dates, fancy parties, fine dinners, hot tubbin', and more--these Sims know how to live it up. Be careful, though! These pleasure-seeking Sims are terrified of pain, embarrassment, and effort, so anything outside of the realm of "PARTY!" is probably going to deliver quite a blow to their fragile egos." What parent in their right mind would want their teenager exposed to this?

i just received this game. my exciment soon wore off after the first 20 minutes. everytime i try to go downtown, my game crashes! I have even downloaded the patch. I would not recommend this game until they have found a way to get rid of all the errors.

I bought the Sims 2 NL and my computer is not compatible with the game and I very very sad:( I really really want to play this game, I love playing The sims 2 and University, Love it!! I was looking forward to playing this game and I cant:( It is because of my processor speed, even tho the other 2 games play on my computer, this one wont. The only way I can play the game is if I buy a brand new computer!!

I own a lot of the Sims 2 expansions pack, and so far this is by far my favorite. When my old computer started to give up and I could only play with one expansion this was the one I chose! I love the down town and all the new items you get. Dancing the night away with music booming and disco lights flashing is just the beginning. You can check out who is hot and who is not! Wind your way around the dance floor to the hunk in the corner or the Barbie on the dance floor. Strut your stuff and ask them out. You also gain the freedom of being able to own your own car. Miss the carpool for work no longer a problem, fancy a quick trip to the shops and off you go. For me if only one expansion was it out of all the ones I have tried this would be it!!

I don't care for this expansion pack. The added benefit is vampires, but they can't work or go outside during the day or care for children properly, so they're a hindrance. Changing zones to go downtown takes forever so I never bother. The nightclubs are fun, but not necessary.
