I got the sims 2 for christmas and it is great. It runs really good on my 7 month old pc. you can build 4 story houses, create generations, etc. I must say this game made my top 5 game list.

I really like this game! It is seriously addicting and entertaining. One fairly big problem... If you have a computer that is more than two or three years old this game is slower than three year old corn syrup. Im bummed. I want to play it all the time but it looks like Ill now be in the market for a computer upgrade after buying a $40 game! Ugh!
Total Awesomeness...

this game rox. it's so much fun and your sims act much more like people. they are also smarter about their needs, which makes the game a lot easier. your sims will age, so they will eventually die, but there is a cheat to stop the aging process, but it's cool b/c it makes the game seem much more realistic.
i noticed that some people are angry b/c if you make a really attractive sim, they won't be treated any differently. it would probably be a pain to add this to the game, and it would be encouraging relationships based on looks alone, which I think is wrong, but hey that's just me...
the sims2 works just fine for me, though it will lag sometimes, but i think that the rest of the game makes it well worth it.
*Have a Fabulous day!*

Sims 2 is an amazing experience that will offer hours of enjoyment. The new aspects of the Sims including growing up, wants & fears, and the dying/family tree make this version of Sims so much better then the last!
With an expansion already planned for release in March this game will no doubt be as addictive as it's predecessor!
To anyone who felt that the last Sims was a little flat this game will not disappoint you. The ability to have Sims marry, have little ones, grow old, and die and then have their children complete the same cycle is addictive! Careers have been improved and the system of wants & needs with rewards is a challenge in itself. But trying to make everything happen before the Sim dies of old age makes the game even more of a challenge! You will NOT regret buying this product!
Wonderful!

This game is absolutely wonderful! I read other reviews where they say their computer crashed, but I have not had that problem at all. It is really smooth running for me and it might freeze for a second but that is normal. That happens with all games, and then it starts up again. I have not had my computer crash and it hasn't ruined it or anything like that. Maybe the people who are having the crash problems have too much games saved on their computer in the first place.
The graphics are really great and I love it that you can make your own story. It is like a soap opera. You never know what is going to happen next, who they will fall in love with, or what they will want to do. I love it that you now have goals to go by. Before I just played hoping I was doing everything right. Now they tell you and it is listed on the screen for you. To top it off, if you achieve their goals then you get to buy stuff in a special section.
It does stink that they die because I have had a teenager die that I was working with and trying to get his game level up. He died for some unknown reason when I was working on his goals. There wasn't anything wrong with him either. To undo that I just didn't save it and tried over again with him. The second time he was fine. So if someone dies and you didn't want them to, don't save it and try again.
It is really addictive and I have lost sleep over it! Really fun and you can't stop playing. If you don't get it you will regret it!

I own this game and I can say it's really fun and addicting. I recommend, however, that before buying the game that you get a new video card so that the game will run better if your computer is not brand new.
Good game with some

First, I must say something and get it out of the way. I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Maxis did a great job with the better graphics, more houses, and the three new neighborhoods. Unfortunately, this game requires a bit more than an on-board graphics card. The game needs over 4.0 GB to install and requires at least a Raedon 7000 graphics card to run, though this can be obtained easily, (...) If you have a good graphics card, get the game, it's worth it... If not, look for somewhere else to spend your money.
IS GOING TO BE AWSOME!!!

I have read so many of these online reviews about the sims2 and its driving me crazy!I cant wait for this game to come out to tell ya the truf.I have the sims hot date ,unleashed, and of course the sims. And also i have the sims bustin out on xbox.but i heard that you can get it free on some kinda site, but i wouldnt do that because it might be a rip of.i heard that the sims have five fingers,a grocery store,a place to by clothes, alien abductions ohhh creppy. And also its possible that a female sim can have twins or triplets. And the sims have dna,so therefore your child will look like you.

My name is Frances Applegate and I'm 9. I just ordered The Sims 2 and I'm very excited to play it. I have played it at friends houses, and enjoyed it very much.
1. First off there's the plant people. (you can recognize them by their green skin) They lurk around some neighborhoods. They're very nice, but poeple are scared of them and misunderstand them.
2. And then there's the werewolves. If you mess with a dog with yellow eyes that walks outside your house at night sometimes, and you become friends, he'll bite you, and you'll become a werewolf.
3. There's also aliens that evade occasionally. Some sims fall in love with them and have alien-human babies.
I won't give anymore away but here's a few cheats for money.
C+ctrl+shift, motherlode and katching.
Enjoy playing sims!

From the moment I installed this game I was hooked. Who doesn't want to control other people's lives? To be honest since this is just the base game after you get the feel of the game and how to play it will get boring. So before you buy it make sure you can afford and your computer can handle a few expansion packs and maybe even some of the stuff packs that are offered. However, it is worth the investment.
