To DVD or not to DVD

I am just wondering what the difference is between the dvd edition and the regular version. I want to pre-order but don't understand this.

WOW! I have been a Sims fan ever since the 1st came out! Now I am on the website for The Sims 2 almost everyday!!! I can't wait until it comes out!

It is the greatset game ever.You get hooked and cant get off it. So some day I am going to collect all the Sims games .!!!!!!

Im uninstalling this as soon as I get back to my Mamaws!!!! The game rocks but all the loading times put togher = 48 MIN!!!!

i bought this game & i was like yes it does cost alot a money for just a simple game (...) i thought i can waist this money in other things but since iam so obssed with sims i bought it the first day i played it was at night and i was so sleepy and took so long to load!i got so pist at it!the next day when i woke up in the morning i went to the tutorial with tutorial joe it thought me somethings that are new in the sims 2 diffrent from the normal sims so then i created my own family and it got really fun but theres a bad part to this it still takes so long to load when u go to ur house & everything its now that i have alot of things in my comp i still have alot of memory left i checked so the only thing bad is the loading part really oOo & somethimes the game frezzes for about 20-30 seconds in my comp

Purchase this game from the store rather than from here

I bought this game from the store in Sept. 2004, and was able to play for nearly three months before I THOUGHT things started going wrong on my computer. Then I got the same game for Christmas 2005, and was unable to install--let alone play--it!

Hello! As you all know, the Sims2 has yet to come out, so I am basing it on how I think it is going to be. I rated this game 4 out of 5 stars, because, I am betting that 2/3 people that buy this game are going to have problems when they first begin installing. However, I also think this is going to be one of the best PC games ever! If you have visited the website (thesims2.com) and seen some of the screenshots you can tell that this game is going to have wonderful graphics! But there are also the positive aspects of creating your Sim more to your liking, growing up with your Sim, having a 3 story house, and much much more! In all, I think this game is going to be one of the most entertaining games that Maxis has produced.

I got this game a month after it came out. I realized that it was even better than I expected (I expected it to be perfect anyway).I couldn't get enough of this game for 2 years. (note: I only got the original. No expansions packs and it still rocks). It broke my heart when the game stopped running. I used it so much that a big piece of the disc was burned out. Now I'm gonna get it again with every expansion pack and eventually get The Sims 3.
I'm just gonna say that if you played and enjoyed any other sims game, you have to play this game. It is awesome and I would buy this game 100 times if I had to.

Being an avid sim player myself I cannot wait until this new game comes out! I have played almost all of the sims games that are currently availabe on the store shelves and loved each and every one of them. The idea of real time play with weather and months totally excites me. I know Maxis will do a great job because all of the other Sims' games have been such a joy to play. They are good for all ages. The boxes are marked T for Teen but I didn't see anything innappropriate for younger viewers. I myself have a 3 year old girl and I see no problem at all with her playing the game with me. The game is true to life. Look forward to new and better products from this company. Happy Gaming all!

I so can't wait for the new sims to come out!!!!!!! the sims one was so fun but the graphics were really lame and stuff. but the new sims is going to be WAY cooler than the sims one. the sims two has better graphics, your sims can go through all the life stages (baby, toddler, kid, teen, adult, old person), your houses can have more than two stories, I think it's going to be the best game since the first Sims!!!!!!
