It's amazing. You have so much freedom and mixing genetics is so fun... If I were to describe this game in 3 words: amazing, addictive, fun!

I love this game I started playing when I was eight and now i'm twelve. I pre-ordered this game in Febuary. I really can't wait!!! SIMS IS COOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!

In my opinion, the Sims is one of the most brilliant and creative games I've ever played. I am REALLY looking foward to what the Sims 2 is going to be like!!!

I think the sims will be the best game ever. I loved the sims1 and i am sure i will love Sims 2.When i heard there was gonna be a sims 2 i was excited.I visited the official sims 2 webpage at WWW.TheSims2.com i watched all the videos and looked at all the screenshots.You Should check out the website it is really cool!You can also chat with The Sims2 creators or look at chat scripts it is really cool.You can Sign up for the sims 2 newsletter.I cant wait for the sims2 to come out!!!!!!!!

After doing a little research I've come up with the following info regarding the DVD edition of Sims 2. The DVD version is NOT exclusive to preorders and will be available in retail stores. HOWEVER it will be a "Limited Edition" and shipped in smaller supply than the CD-ROM version. Therefore those of you hoping to get this version as a Xmas gift, don't wait till Thanksgiving to get it or you may be hard-pressed to find it (the CD-ROM version will continue to be supplied).

As for the release date, it appears that the date has in fact been pushed to Sept. 16. I don't know why Amazon expects customers to receive their copies in mid-October unless they've received an overwhelming demand. My experience has always been that the date of anticipated receipt is later than customers actually get it (sort of a worst case scenario date).

By the way, my rating for this game is only based on my non-playable preview of Sims 2(available on Sims Makin' Magic) as well as through other sources.

You need Sims 2 to run other Sims Applications!!!!

I don't like the fact that you need to buy Sims 2 to run other Sims applications. But they have to make their money. Sims 2 wasn't played as much as the other games that need SIms 2 to support them.

Very Addicting.. Too Many CDS

Takes way too long to download to computer, and my computer is restored to factory settings everyday so thats hard to deal with. I love it though- very addicting, though sometimes randomly freezes and very slow.

I dont understand why Sims is such a hot game!?!?

I purchased this game over Thanksgiving break because I was bored and had read SO many positive reviews! This game was NOT fun at all!! Way too much mundane everyday stuff to put your sims people through...I do this stuff everyday! Give me a game where Im fighting someone or shooting other motorists or saving the world...SOMETHING that I dont do everyday!

Thus concludes my review of this game...If you got money to spend, find another game to buy!!

If your looking for fast passed action this is probably not the game for you. If you are already a Sims 1 fan this sequel to the game has some vast improvements over the first. Mainly the graphics (detail) of the game has been vastly improved. Houses are no longer built from the ground up, but with cash you can always modify the houses that are available. And with the addon's possible it makes the game just that much more interesting.

I rateed it a 3 compared to most other games out there that I enjoy spending more time playing, but if you like the challenges of getting your sim to do well at work, keep clean while not starving to death and all their other vitals while keeping up a good social life then this is for you.
