Graphic card problems

Probably it's a good game but I haven't got a chance to find that out because it simply does not work with my Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB card. It gets strange polygons and graphic distortions.
I don't understand why programmers couldn't make it compatible with one of the most leading graphic cards on the market. The same problems I have experienced with some other games like Prince of Persia 2 and Halo.
I gave it one star only because I have been seriously ripped off and now can't return the game. It sucks....

I'm sure it's a wonderful game over age 13, but it was not compatible on my Windows2000 PC. I could not get the help from my manufacturer to get this game to work. (...). I originally bought it for my 18 year old daughter who is a big fan of the Sims game.

i am so excited for this game to come out! It sounds amazing! My only complaint is the price! It is a little steep! I guess I will have to get my parents to get is for me! ;-) Also I spent all that money on the first game and expansion packs (probly about $100+ total) and now I won't play them anymore since I will have the new one though! I still give it 5 starts b/c the game is so awesome it makes up for cost!

just from seeing the screen shot on the sims resource I can already tell that this is going to far out-mesure the original sims so far my favorite feature is going to be the fact that you can raise children as well as teenagers.
The best PC simulation game!

I think the giving of 5 Stars for a game that you have never played is ridiculous. I am not excited about the release of this game, because, in my opinion, I think it sucks that after paying almost $200 for all of these Sims Expansion Packs, they are releasing another seperate set of them that are more expensive and are not compatible with anything we've purchased already? Not fair to those of us whom work hard for our money, have children to care for, or bills to pay with it. Also, most of us out here, according to the minimum requirements for Sims 2 that I've read, will have to upgrade our computers just to be able to play it...sorry not interested.
I LOVE THIS GAME...

It's so much better than the Sims. I love SIMS2. It's a definite must have for all those Sims lovers out there!!!!
The graphics are better...the SIM feels more real like a human being. The idea that you can take a SIM from birth to death is appealing, therefore watching them transition from one stage to the next IMO gives the player a more realistic human like game play. That also includes if the SIM gets married and has children and they have children and they have children, it makes it even nicer for generational game play. You can go back in the SIMS2 family tree and see how your SIM family was formed. However, I find raising children from birth a little boring, so I always like to adopt the school age children. It makes things easier.
Building residential and commerical spots have become much more dramatic. You can now have angled walls and you can build basements and attics...
SIMS2 is more three dimensional in game play. SIMS2 allows for SIMS to have days off insteading of having to go to work every day like in the SIMS. The creators really took the time out to manufacture a SIMS2 world built on our exsistence(true reality) than a game that resembled a part of our reality at a lower level.

Still one of the best games out there for both teen and adults. However before you buy you should make sure you have better than minimum requirements on your computer. It is a CPU and memory hog and will lag if your system isn't up to snuff.

I got this game wanting the best Sims game ever. What a disappointment. Playing the game makes me feel like this is the first ever Sims game. I think this game sucks. Not waste your money on this game buy the first sims and all the packs that go with that one.
The only thing I thought was good on the Sims 2 was creating what your people look like. But other that than the game is not worth it.

I dont get it, can you have this game and the old games on the same computer and play them seperatly? that wouldnt be too bad but it would take up so much space. OMG this game sounds aweseom, all the things i have ever wanted on the sims is in this game. Except I have always wished that the sims could have different meals for like breakfast, supper and lunch and choose what they make, that would be cool, does anyone know if they can do that in this game? anyway i cant wait i will definatly buy this game because i have been becoming bored of the other game and expansions
