It's ok.

This game is cute and simple. That it runs in real-time is the most interesting feature but it isn't enough to keep me playing it for more than 1 hour at a time (which may be a bonus to parents). After I check my mail and visit a few characters, there really isn't much to do. I get bored and turn it off until the next day.

When I bought this, I was expecting a game sort of like The Sims. I can play The Sims for hours and then more hours. Animal Crossing doesn't have enough customization features or social interaction choices. You'll spend the day pulling weeds, catching bugs, and running uninteresting favors for your neighbors, hoping that they'll give you some new furniture (which you don't really do anything with) so that you can earn nearly meaningless points for having a stylish home.

This game is simple and great for kids. But if you're looking to get really addicted to something, this won't do it for you.

Good for a little while

Decorating your house, participating in holidays, and fishing are all great and fun for a while, but it gets boring. Interacting with the other characters can be monotonous at times but it's still entertaining. Worth renting occasionaly, but do NOT buy.

Highly Addictive!!!

This game is incredably fun! It seemed like it would be boring, but I've had it for a year and it's still fun. The villagers move in and out, talk to you and sometimes give you presents. Nook's shop, where you buy almost everything, has something new every day. On my birthday, every villager sent me a gift, and I was so suprised. You can travel to your friend's town, and put things like fossils and bugs into the museum. If you have a GBA and a link cable, you can even go to your town's island. You can test out your decorating skills, and make your house look beautiful. All of these things make this incredably fun!

Wow this game is just so cool. It's like playing the sims and harvest moon mixed together. The fun never ends. You first get to name your character, make them a boy or a girl, and then you get to name the town.Once you are there you get to pick out a house to buy. Too bad you don't have enough bells to buy the house. Don't worry Tom Nook is very generous and lets you work off the payment. You easily work off 1000 bells each day. You can also make friends with the neighbors or run errands for them to receive generous gifts.even though the game takes up 56 blocks on the memory card, the company gives you an extra card just for the game. please don't buy this game because i want there to be one left for me!!!:)

fun but

when you finish the game, there is no fun. If you have a kid that is young, it will always be fun forever until they get older. RECOMMENDED or PEOPLE under 8.

The best game EVER!!! (In my opinion)

This is the greatest game in my opinion. You get to get your own house, you get to make your own clothing, you can buy and get lots of furniture, dig up dinosaur bones, etc.! It's the best game EVER!!!

When I first rented this game I thought it was wicked. I played it for 2 days straight and really didn't want to return it. A few days after I returned it I decided to just go out and buy it... bad idea.

It was then when I realized what a horrid game this is. Sure it is fun for a while but could a game get anymore repetitive??? Pick weeds, buy stuff, send letters, fish, blah, blah, blah...

I have to say the idea behind the game is great (playing in real time) but the amount of people's lives wasted while playing it everyday or so is crazy to me. Especially the idea of codes for items. Reading entries on sites where people go through and try to find "Universal Codes" is absurd. Sure it is cool but for example ones that bring back X amount of bells and the person saying "you'll be a millionaire in no time" is wild. Who really wants to sit and enter the same 28 character code 1000 times to get that kind of money. Do you know how long and boring that would be???? I'd rather read a good book or actually go out and do something instead of sitting in front of the TV.

This is not to say I don't like games, but this one takes over peoples lives far too much for my liking.

I'm selling my copy.

It was different

Okay, I read your reviews, and no one mentioned that THE GAME KEEPS PLAYING WHEN YOU SHUT IT OFF!! Seriously. I stopped playing this game 2 years ago because after I my person made tons of money, this stupid lamb took my money! So when I played it recently, there were weeds everywhere, everyone moved away, and my house was filled with COCKROACHES!! it was DISGUISTING! And thats not all. If you want to reset your game when a lamb takes your money, you can't or else this stupid resetii guy will come and tell you your dumb and that you smell and how its your fault and all this stupid stuff. I'm serious! He told my person that they SMELLED!! Come on! there are no showers! I'm a very sensitive person, and this game MADE ME CRY!! I still have nightmares about it... So, if you want to play this the rest of your life, go ahead, but when a lamb takes all your money, you will understand why I wrote this! Because with this game, you really do have to play it everyday or else that will happen. Everytime I played it with my friends we would fight about turns, so DONT PLAY WITH FREINDS! ITS TOO ADICTIVE FOR THAT! but still, its your choice. Have a nice day everyone!

Pretty fun.....If you're a super bored 6 year old!

I found this game to be absolutely dreadful. It had N64 graphics, zero fun factor, and seemed to be geared for small children. It was repetitive, boring, and lacked in every department. I had this game for less than a week before selling it. As much as I wanted to like it and tried to like it, I absolutely could not. I think this would truly even bore a 6 year old. Awful game!!! I'm totally shocked this game is selling as well as it is as I found absolutely no fun in it whatsoever.
