This game is really really good.And I only played the demo.It has everything tony hawk 1 and more.I din't even like skatebording before I played this game.Buy this game, it's worth it.
Pretty fun but very hard.

Let me start by saying after Crazy Taxi, Tony Hawk 2 has the best video game sound track. Another thing great about this is the create a park, I found myself having more fun creating the park than playing the actual game. Now about the actual game, Tony Hawk 2, is very challenging. I have been gaming for a long time (92-01). In all my experience I would have to say that Tony Hawk 2 is the hardest sports game to be 100% complete in. If you can not unlock the cool stuff you will just have to use cheats. The graphics by todays standard are medicore. I reccomend to rent it first before buying it. And if you are good enough you can skate as Spiderman (or just get him with cheats.) This game is pretty fun. To say it is perfect is wrong. Still fun though.

This game is just...amazing. Every single possible thing that you might have hated from the first game has been made better, like the wallrides counting when you don't ollie out of them! Unlike Tony Hawk 1, this game will not get boring after you beat it with every single guy, because there is almost infinite customization. You can pick what tricks go with what button, buy whatever specials you want, and even customize your stats!
Next, the levels. These levels are SO good! My favorite level on the original Hawk is the San Fransisco level, because I like street skating. Fire up Hawk 2, and go to the New York level. I'd be willing to bet that this level is at least twice the size of San Fransisco or even the School! Or, now that I mention it, go to the School II. Here is another huge level that surpasses anything on the first game.
There is so much more to say, but it would be so hard to explain! Bottom line: get this game!

Tony Hawk Pro Skater was by far one of the greatest games i had ever played. When i heard about that there was a follow-up to tony hawk, i ran out and reserved my copy. Well when september 20th came i was not disappointed. Tony Hawk 2 just makes Tony Hawk 1 look lame. You are able to play as 1 of 13 pro skaters and with the added addition of creating you own custom skater and give him the moves that you want to give him. The thing that is probably driving the not so hardcore fans in is the addition of create-a-park. This feature blew me anyway when i played the demo. You can have endless hours of fun creating the park of dreams. If you are a multiplayer fan, don't worry you have not been put on the self, Tony Hawk 2 comes with 4 2-player and 1 hidden mode which is 2 player free skate. I bought the playstation version of Tony Hawk 2 and the graphics just blew me away. For a system that has been around for a while, this game proved that the playstation is still hanging in there even with the Playstation 2 waiting in the wings.All in all Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 is one of the greatest games to come around in a long time and with awesome graphics and the gameplay to keep you set for hours, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 is well worth the [money]. I, without a doubt, give it 5 stars.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is the best ... skateboarding game I've ever witnessed. Ever. Ever ever. The fun, addictive gameplay will leave you trying to make sick combos for major points all hours of the day. It's got the best skaters, the best places to skate, the best tricks, the best shoes... everything is great! You can even create yourself into the game and see if you can hang with Mr. Hawk. ASIDE FROM SEGA'S VIRTUA TENNIS, THIS IS THE MOST FUN GAME OUT THERE. Get it now.
(My rating system is now out of five stars. Sorry for any confusion.) Graphics - 4.5 outta 5. - they're good, but still kinda blocky. Sound - 5 - the music rocks. period. Control - 5 - If you mess up, you can be sure of one thing: it was your own stupid fault. Fun-ocity - 5 - OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH, yeeeeaaaahhh!!!

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is way better than the first one. It has more modes, levels, skaters, and much more. It has better music and you can even create your own skater and park. It also has tons of created parks already made incase if you'r getting sick of the other levels. I would recommemd this game to anyone.
My kids love this game, play it every day!

If you have kids that are the least bit interested in skateboarding buy this game! One can skateboard/ perform tricks as a pro, and you can build your own skatepark--too cool! My kids play this game all the time. Often friends come over and alternate playing Tony Hawk and then skating themselves! This has been worth it's weight in gold-best gift my boys received. I've been asking other parents to recommend a game to purchase for Christmas and everyone of them mention "Tony 2"! How come they didn't have games like this when I was young?!

This game is awesome if some guy says that its not realistic or you cant grind 8 ft. rails he is WRONG! Im a skater too and this is the best game for skating no matter what anyone says!

I don't really think i need to touch on all the points that make this game so amazing, and if you want to know, there are a bunch of other reviews down there that do a fine job...I read a few of them, and didn't really understand the argument that was made by one "critic." ok, yeah, it's highly unrealistic that someone could land a 75-trick combo...however, i don't really think that it matters what combos are realistic and what aren't. it's a video game. it's for having fun and racking up more points than last run. if you're so concerned about "realistic," go watch some 411 videos or something. the first one was great and addictive, and this game meets, and far exceeds the standards set by the former. i'm still playing it and i got it the day it came out...yeah, rock.
