I never played the GBA version but i played te super nintendo version. It is different from other Mario games. You will have to beat Bowser but you can have fun while going. There are eight worlds. You will go to a world where there are giant Goomba's and Koopa Troopa's and Paratroopa's. If you have this game and i am wrong just forget it because i never played the GBA version. You will also go to a regular, desert, water, sky,etc... THis game is wonderful. I think that if you never played the NES version you should get this.

The original Super Mario 3 is without question one of the greatest video games ever made. This version of the game for the Game Boy Advance does not translate over as well as I had hoped.

First of all, the game looks much different. A lot of the background foliage and patterns used for blocks, etc. do not look the same way they did on the original NES. This is not to say it looks terrible, but I think I speak for a large number of SMB3 fans when I say I'd rather see this game look as much like the original as possible. This game doesn't look bad...just different. But in this case different isn't necessarily good.

Secondly, they added those annoying and cheesy "Itsa me, Mario!" type voices that surfaced in Super Mario 64. I can't stand those voices, but every time you power up or select a level or do anything really, Mario says something stupid like "Thatsa just what I needed!" This is really not a welcome addition to an otherwise very good game. Seriously, the voice of Mario in this game reminds me of Jar Jar Binks, which is definitely not a good thing.

On the upside, the gameplay is as good as you remember. I still prefer to play the original cartridge on my original NES, but with this game I can carry SMB3 with me wherever I go, so I can't complain too much. This is a fairly faithful adaptation of the game and as such it deserves at least 3 stars. But if you are the type of person who is going to be bothered by the game looking a bit different and Mario speaking in an annoying voice every time you power up, you may want to dust off your NES and stick with the original.

NOT THE SAME!

Super Mario Advance 2 is much better! I got Super Mario World 3, thinking that it would be another good Mario game. It's not! Super Mario Advance 2 is a classical, fun, and well-made game. This almost isn't a Mario game. It doesn't have Yoshi in it. Instead of getting the ability to fly by collecting a cape feather, you collect a "super leaf" that makes Mario grow a raccoon tail which enables him to fly. I mean, COME ON! Also, you cannot "spin jump." With a spin jump, you can kill virtually any enemy in one hit. It's just not the same! Bottom line: avoid this game at all costs. Instead, get Super Mario Advance 2, (A.K.A. Super Mario World) which is worth the money.

I personaly was thrilled to get the game but once I started playing it it seemed really hard and it still is frustrating to me. It seems to be getting harder so just be aware that the game is hard and not as easy as you think.

Super Who?

Out of all the Mario games this is to be the worst. I mean come on you get in a suit of a frog and racoon? This would be great for little kids from 5 and under. Everyone else stay clear.

This game is kind of hard to play

I sort of hate this game. That is because all the worlds except Grass Land are hard to beat for me. A lot of my friends beat some of the levels that I did not win yet, and that makes me jealous. I'm supposed to be good at video games, but this one is hard to beat.

It really sucks that Taget can't ship to Alaska. Do you think Alaska is a foreign country or something?
